Keigo Takami (?) [2] Following the Final War, Hawks retires as a professional hero after losing his Quirk to All For One. After this, he becomes the new head of the Hero Public Safety Commission with the goal of changing the professional hero system in society.
Personality Honest Trailers Commentary | Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 Unmute Advanced Settings Fullscreen Play Rewind 10 Seconds Up Next Brand logo Hawks is shown to be highly intelligent, both emotionally and logistically. He promotes a carefree and youthful attitude, while his constant vigilance is often hidden beneath layers of serenity and equanimity. Hawks acts relaxed, while being on constant alert. Due to his past and the way he lived during his childhood, Hawks developed a strong desire to be useful to others, which is why he follows the orders of the Hero Public Safety Commission without hesitation.
However, Hawks does not like formalities, often acting in an unpredictable, cocky and mocking manner. He acts indifferent and jokingly submissive as he does not care about social status or recognition. He calmly agrees when Katsuki Bakugo claims to have been faster, and reacts with ironic adaptation when someone says he is younger. Hawks believes that popular approval is the most important metric by which a hero should be judged, as it is a hero's job to reassure citizens, something he claims to be unable to do. Hawks shows a preference for lower hero levels, as it would give him more freedom and avoid the burden of being a higher hero. He states that his desire is to patrol freely and slowly and "take it easy." Still, Hawks is said to be fierce regarding his Hero duties, understanding the importance of a leader figure among all heroes after All Might's retirement. When he is around others he likes, Hawks is very talkative and can casually have a long one-sided conversation while he helps dozens of civilians simultaneously in his area of influence. He also states that he will always fight for what he longs for. Ironically despite his peculiar Quirk, he seems to have a special taste for poultry-based foods; turning him into a raptor.
Hawks is a very intelligent individual, as his cunning is shown several times as he outruns his surveillance monitors, or as he had planned his actions in advance to have explanations for the top end incident. He is rational and more forward-thinking than other pro heroes, allowing him the best chance of going undercover. He seems relaxed in high-pressure situations, as was the case in the new year's Top Charts Hero Ranking. Hawks' gestures are lively, expressive and highly personalized, as he always wants to convey his voice. He claims to be "bad at keeping it up", even though he possesses complete control over his facial expressions and body language, making him an extremely skilled liar. But he apparently loves the truth, finding lying to be too much work. These traits allowed him to easily make his way into the Liberation Army, and the slight change in motivation expertly conveyed information about the Liberation Army's goals and change in leadership to Endeavor.
While Hawks seems disinterested in most things, he has a good heart as he saves all the witnesses to the Hood's attack and is quietly disgusted by the strain of maintaining his duty to act as a double agent amidst a cabal of villains and terrorists. He also feels guilt over Endeavor's scar, having brought the High-End Nomu's attack into a contained area to reduce casualties. He appears laid back and unchallenged as most prodigies would be, but in fact he is hardworking and under constant pressure with his Hero career. It is claimed that he trained relentlessly since childhood to maximize the techniques he uses his wings for, refining his rescue and combat skills. He is a very charismatic hero, often interacting with his fans and is well-liked by the general public. He has the ability to get along with his fans and have casual and informal conversations with people, as well as taking photos with them or filming autographs. Hawks willing to get his hands dirty
However, Hawks has shown to have a serious and very determined side, in which he is capable of using any method to get his job done and if the situation requires it, he is capable of taking justice into his own hands. Seeing the potential threat that Twice represented and then realizing that it would be impossible to stop him if he escaped, he killed him without hesitation, but not before trying to reason with him and convince him to surrender, initially refusing to fight him. After the events of the Paranormal Liberation War, Hawks takes responsibility for the aftermath of the war and becomes determined to resolve unfinished business he ignored for years about his past and help make himself useful again, especially to Endeavor. Hawks firmly believes that a person shows their true colors when they are given the power to freely choose and make their own decisions. After the Hero Public Safety Commission shut down his activities, Hawks feels that he is now a free person and is in a position to decide what to do with his life from now on, like a new beginning. Likewise, Hawks has made the decision to remain helpful to other people, but this time he will be the one to take the initiative and decide for himself.
Appearance Hawks is a relatively short man with a thin, narrow build. He notes to himself that his back muscles are not broad enough. He has feathery ash-blond hair, slicked back, with some of the front locks sticking out in arches above his head, noticeably thick eyelashes, and some faint stubble on his chin.
His eyes are golden brown and rather triangular in shape, with two small black triangles just below his tear ducts, making his eyes look a bit like those of a bird. The markings around his eyes are naturally innate as he had them as a child. Due to his Quirk he has a set of large bright red wings with feathers that gradually lengthen as they grow. He wears a black t-shirt with a wavy gold pattern on it, over which he has a light brown jacket with a high collar, the inside and cuffs of the sleeves lined with shearling, matching pants, and black gloves. He has red, diamond-shaped earrings, though these are rarely visible as he usually wears a pair of yellow headphones over them. His headphones are most likely for protective purposes, as the speeds at which he moves are capable of damaging eardrums beyond repair. Wide, yellow-tinted goggles protect his eyes, presumably from high-speed dirt particles. His jacket is specially modified, with two large slits in the middle of his back, allowing his wings to easily protrude. His suit resembles an aviator's uniform.
Skills Overall Abilities: Hawks is incredibly fast and cunning, befitting his position as the Number 2 Hero. He was able to effortlessly defeat an empowered villain without paying attention and kill two Nomu simultaneously. Witty Intellect: Hawks has shown to be highly intelligent. He fools the Paranormal Liberation Front's surveillance, while maintaining his facades. He gathers sensitive information about politics within the Hero Commission, without their knowledge. Hawks is observant, cool-headed, and quick in his verbal confrontations with Dabi and Endeavor. Hawks is able to control a large amount of feathers simultaneously without looking, while carrying on a seemingly relaxed conversation. Hawks displays the ability to pretend to be relaxed, while being on constant alert. Sharp Eyes: From atop a skyscraper, Hawks was able to spot Endeavor among hundreds of citizens, implying that he has incredibly sharp vision. Later, Endeavor observes that Hawks' eyes are even sharper. Gift
Gift Anime Stiff Wings Hawks uses his feathers to save everyone. Stiff Wings (剛翼 Gōyoku ?): This Quirk grants Hawks a large pair of wings on his back, bright red and feathery. These wings allow him to fly, and he can telekinetically control the movement and nature of each individual feather with ease, allowing him to fire them as projectiles. He can also sense vibrations in the air through them, allowing him to sense people's locations, similar to echolocation.[3] The feathers are considerably strong, capable of carrying medium-sized objects such as rocks or humans, with a single feather for each or multiple for large objects. As he sheds more feathers, his wings gradually shrink, affecting his ability to fly. When he loses all of his feathers, it takes at least two days for them to grow back halfway, which can be a considerable weakness. His feathers are not infinite in quantity and are shown to lack abundance at times. Keigo has mentioned that he does not have enough feathers to hold up a collapsing building, but he does have enough to evacuate victims from said building. In addition to this, this Quirk's greatest weakness is fire as it consumes feathers almost instantly.[4]
Feather Blades: Hawks draws two long feathers from each of his wings, manipulating their nature and using them like swords to pierce his target. They are sharp enough to cut through two white Nomu summoned by High-End. He is also shown to threaten Dabi with a single feather sword after the attack.[5] Enhanced Speed: By his own admission, Hawks' strong side is not muscular strength but his phenomenal speed. He was able to overtake Endeavor's attackers from the top of a skyscraper in the blink of an eye and didn't even seem to be trying, implying that he can go much faster. Hawks resolves most fights so quickly that his cronies can't keep up, so he usually just leaves them with the aftermath of his battles while he rushes to the next case. Vocal Espionage: Hawks can use one of his feathers to distinguish sounds from the moment it changes in the air, allowing him to decode conversations and vocal information by sensing the vibrations. Especially after leaving the room or increasing the distance, this technique makes you a dangerous spy.[6]

Curiosities Hawks' given name is composed of the kanji for "reveal, open, tell" (啓kei) "enlightenment, understanding" (悟go) and his surname contains "hawk" (鷹taka) and "see, visible, idea," (見mi). Hawks' design is inspired by Takahiro, a character from Omagadoki Zoo, one of Kohei Horikoshi's previous works. Hawks was originally supposed to be Takahiro, as a transplanted character from the Oumagadoki Zoo similar to Uwabami and Kugo Sakamata, but that plan was scrapped in favor of a new design. Hawks' wings and overall appearance are similar to that of Angel (Marvel Comics). Hawks holds the record for the youngest Hero, as well as the fastest for a Pro Hero to become a Top 10 Hero on the JP Hero Billboard Chart. Hawks is the first known Pro Hero who did not attend UA Academy. This also makes Hawks the highest-ranking hero currently who did not attend UA. Hawks was hinted to be a fan of Endeavor from a young age, as shown by the drawing of him as a child holding an Endeavor figurine.
His favorite food is chicken, which is ironic given his familiarity with birds. Their positions in the popularity polls are as follows: He was ranked #4 in the Fourth Popularity Poll. He was ranked #11 in the Fifth Popularity Poll. He was ranked #7 in the Fifth United States Popularity Poll. Hawks has several parallels with Icarus. This character from Greek mythology escaped from Crete thanks to a pair of wings, but he became overconfident and when he flew too high, the sun burned them, causing him to fall into the sea and perish. Hawks, on the other hand, is a winged and somewhat conceited character who, in order to achieve his objective, got too close to the truth and his wings ended up burned by Dabi, who has a gift of fire. Hawks' Latin voice actor in the Anime, Miguel Ángel Leal, also voiced Eijiro Kirishima in the first two films. Hawks is the first pro hero seen killing a villain.
