Appearance

Jugo is a skinny teenage boy of short stature. He has slightly tanned skin, wavy and pointed black hair with red streaks. He wears silver hoop earrings in each ear, and his nails are painted black. His identification number "15" is tattooed in black on his right cheek. Along with his current identification number tattoo, Jugo has scars and other tattoos with numbers that are most likely identification numbers from previous prisons; he also has a tattoo that resembles a barcode, as well as black stars. Jugo walks barefoot and wears a traditional prison jumpsuit with black and white stripes. The suit is torn at the neck, sleeves, and legs due to the thick black shackles on his wrists, neck, and ankles; when activated, they transform his limbs into large, powerful blades. His identification number badge is attached to the left side of his chest. His distinctive feature is his eyes, which are not only two different colors, but also change their color under different lighting conditions. When using the power of his shackles, both of his eyes turn red.

Personality 1

Jugo is a confident and impulsive young man who gets bored very quickly. It has been repeatedly pointed out that he has no other talents besides picking locks and other things, and it is said that he is practically useless in everything else. He cannot read, write, count, or swim, and has poor stamina and physical abilities. Despite his many shortcomings, his cellmates appreciate him highly because he is a compassionate person who understands others. All three of his fellow cellmates said that Juugo at some point did something for them that eventually changed their lives for the better. However, Juugo remembers little about these events and does not understand why he means so much to his friends. Jugo is a man without enthusiasm. He doesn't reciprocate his friends' enthusiasm for holidays and celebrations, and shows no interest in anything. His apathy is such that he has no idea about greed or motivation, which Hajime Sugoroku described as "empty." Juugo admits that he has never enjoyed or wanted anything, and envies the constant excitement of his friends, receiving happiness only from them. He seems to have become more motivated, and several times openly declares that he wants to prove his worth and start changing with his friends.

Personality 2

Jugo tends to blame himself for everything. He admits that he is nervous about what he does not understand, but the presence of his friends is enough to get rid of anxiety. The relationship with them makes his self-confidence grow over time. Like many teenage boys, Jugo shows interest in the opposite sex. However, he doesn't communicate well with them and doesn't know how to give compliments, but he has shown a willingness to learn new things, such as when he asks Niko to teach him how to play video games. In conclusion, Jugo is a compassionate person who is willing to help even strangers and cares a lot about his friends.

Backstory

Jugo knows that he was born in prison, and even feels at home in it. Jugo was accused of theft many times, but he constantly escaped during the first days of his imprisonment. According to Hajime, he really deserves to be in Nanba. In one of the previous prisons, while he was sleeping, they put shackles on him, namely on his arms, legs and neck. No matter how hard he tried, there was no way he could take them off. He began to hate the man who had put shackles on him and wanted to find him. All he remembered about him was that he had a scar on his neck. From now on, that mysterious man was called the Scarred Man.
