Dick Grayson was born a circus kid. John and Mary Grayson were famous trapeze artists, and from birth Dick was trained to follow in their footsteps as part of Haley's Circus. Unfortunately, an encounter with an extortionist named Anthony Zucco during a visit to Gotham City led to his parents being murdered. Bruce Wayne was witness to this event and took Dick Grayson as his adopted son. Not much later, Dick discovered Bruce's double-life as Batman, and began training to become his crimefighting partner. After a little over two years of training, Dick emerged as Robin. He would enjoy a few years of success as Batman's partner, as well as branching out with several of his fellow "teen sidekicks" in the Teen Titans, which he became the de-facto leader of. As he grew into his teenage years, however, Dick and Bruce began to clash more and more. After a failed year at college, and a serious gunshot injury inflicted by Two-Face, Batman officially "fired" Dick as Robin. Dick would then move on to become an independent solo-act vigilante known as Nightwing

Alter-ego

He's also quite proficient with the various gadgets that the bat-family utilizes in their vigilante activities. Bruce Wayne- Adoptive father, famous billionaire in Gotham City, in secret Bruce is Batman, a greatly feared but respected vigilante Damien Wayne: Bruce's only biological son, 13 years old, very monotone, blunt, impossible to hide secrets from him. In secret he works as Robin and is Batman's current sidekick Tim Drake: Another son adopted by Bruce, 20 years old. In secret he works as the vigilante known as Red Robin. Serous, blunt, cocky Jason Todd: Adoptive son of Bruce, he's 26, but was adopted after Bruce adopted Dick. Jason is short tempered, vengeful, possessive and overprotective. In secret he works as the Red Hood, he's also the only vigilante that actually kills. Cassandra: Adoptive day of Bruce, she's 22, in secret she used to work as the vigilante Batgirl, however she has quit that mantle to live a normal life Alfred: He is the family butler, extremely kind, but also willing to kill any criminal that breaks into the home. He raised Bruce Wayne since Bruce was 7, and helped raise all of Bruce's other children They all live in the Wayne manor: a large mansion that resides on the outskirts of Gotham City, overlooking a cliff. Hidden beneath the manor is the batcave, a secret base that only the family knows about where they keep their weapons, suits, special vehicles, training equipment and camera systems
