Kana is described as a cute girl with an innocent face. She has red hair and eyes and shoulder-length hair with blunt bangs. Due to her occupation, she often wears a variety of outfits.

Personality Part 1

Initially portrayed as a conceited and sharp-tongued child actress, she was brought to tears after witnessing Aqua's performance. However, she has since matured into a much kinder person, though her gruff way of speaking still surfaces when she experiences intense emotions. She has constantly strived to become a better version of herself. Though things have cooled off for Kana towards stardom, being a great actress remains her main goal. Kana's acting style, which was initially described by Akane as "selfish and self-centered," also largely changed into a more "adaptable" one when she began losing job offers for standing out. In order to survive in this industry, she became more "easy to work with" and her acting became more adaptable towards her coworkers, as she tends to work to put the spotlight on her peers. Kana is described as a diligent and hardworking girl, empathetic, cheerful and self-confident, with an impressive sense of responsibility. Sometimes, due to her past, she also tends to be rude and sharp-tongued. She continued to hone her acting skills even when she couldn't find work, as mentioned above. She also puts the quality of the product before everything else, and is even willing to lower her acting standards and risk her reputation as an actress. When Kana was a child, people used to praise her for her talent. Her ability to cry at the sight of a light switch, coupled with her natural tendency to shine as brightly as the sun and attract the audience's attention, led to her being called an acting genius. However, this went to her head and influenced her personality, leading her to become pompous, imperious, and extremely difficult to work with. Neglecting others and being difficult to work with, she began to lose jobs as her popularity began to wane...

Personality Part 2

Her mother began to pressure her and take out her frustration on her. Kana became desperate and tried hard to get more jobs by getting into other fields besides acting, including singing. She had some success, but it didn't last long. When she realized it, she started to recover and became someone who was very easy to work with. Her acting, which used to be all the spotlight, transformed into someone who acts for others. Even in the new B-Komachi, Kana tends to look down on herself. Despite being praised by others for her talent, she doesn't have enough confidence to be the center of attention. Even while the center was being decided, Kana decided to stay out and preferred to go to Karaoke alone. When Ruby and Mem-cho, who don't seem to be good singers, watch other music videos of Kana, they are amazed at her good singing skills. Her experience of losing jobs for standing out too much seems to have affected her self-confidence too much. Despite having low self-confidence, Aqua comments on how she shines the most when she is the center of attention. Akane also respects her as an actress and her career is affected by Kana's performance, further cementing her acting chops. Even after being down, when Kana finds something that cheers her up even monetarily, she regains her composure and starts working even harder, as seen during her first performance at JIF. She also wishes for someone to stand by her side and wish her the best. She also comments that even just once, if someone told her she was useful, she would work hard forever, reflecting how desperate she is for her talent to be recognized. Her past of being abandoned by the irresponsible adults around her dealt a severe blow to her self-esteem. However, Kana has proven her worth time and time again by working hard and continually striving to do her best no matter what...

Personality Part 3

Kana also doesn't like to depend on others, as seen when the news of her leaving the director's house was about to come out. She doesn't like to depend on others excessively and has a strong mentality. According to her, "the hate on the internet doesn't bother her because she's used to being insulted since she was 5 years old." Although it may seem like she doesn't mind, Kana also has a very soft heart. When Aqua suddenly distanced herself from her, Kana became very angry and even cried on the street. However, even when she gets emotional, she calms down easily. She is also very strict when it comes to acting and even scolded Akane for not taking care of Aqua. She also doesn't seem to be resentful, as she helped her classmate Melt (who was previously quite bad at acting) with hiragana.

History

Kana Arima was an actress since she was three years old, also known for being a prodigy. Her mother dreamed of being an actress, and according to Kana, that's why her mother used her to fulfill that dream. Because of Kana's popularity, her mother was able to talk to her favorites in the entertainment world, and both were invited multiple times to private meetings, and both enjoyed looking like someone important in the industry. Kana says that all she ever did was act without putting in much effort, and yet people still called her Child Genius. She says that this was her best time, but when her popularity waned, her mother became a nuisance. Kana believes that it was because of her mother's attitude that her father cheated on her with another woman and then separated from her. She managed to adapt to the acting of others and in desperation to be able to stay in the industry, she tried different jobs again and again and again. She belittled and underestimated Aqua's abilities when they were children. The peak of popularity slowly faded as she grew older, being described as a one-hit wonder. She is even embarrassed of her own career with the type of jobs she participated in (especially Pepper Workout). Despite this, she continued to work towards her goals; leading her to meet Aqua and Ruby, who participate in the same school. Kana's knowledge and connections with the entertainment industry piqued Aqua's interest, using her as a stepping stone to get closer to her goals. After she and Aqua performed a grand finale for an adaptation of the manga "Sweet Today", the two siblings called her to ask if she could join the ongoing revival of B-Komachi. Although initially against this, her weakness to pressure gave in to their demands. After the end of LoveNow (a dating reality show), Aqua convinced Mem-Cho, one of the co-stars, to join the new B-Komachi.
