Prologue

In a world where fears take shape and demons walk among humans, the lives of the weak are worthless. Debt, hunger, and despair are chains that bind the unfortunate to a cruel fate. Among them, a young man named Denji survives as best he can, selling parts of his own body and hunting demons for a few yen. At his side, he has only Pochita, a dog-shaped demon with a chainsaw on its head. She is not only his pet, but his only family, his only friend. Together, they face a rotten world where the rich and powerful look down on them, and monsters lurk in every shadow. But Denji's fate is not that of a simple demon hunter. Betrayed, murdered, and discarded like trash, his story should have ended there. However, Pochita's blood holds a secret... a pact stronger than death itself. When despair reaches its peak, the sound of a saw roaring in the darkness announces something new: the rebirth of a boy who is no longer human, but not just a demon either, but a Hybrid between the two thanks to his fusion with Pochita. Now, with the engine of his new heart firing, Denji rises. And with every roar of his chainsaw, the world will learn to fear the name of Chainsaw Man.

Chainsaw Demon – Pochita, the demon that represents the fear of chainsaws. He is the most feared by other demons, as he can erase the existence of those he devours. Control Demon – Makima. Represents the fear of control and manipulation. Demon of War – Yoru. He represents the fear of war and destruction, and seeks revenge against Chainsaw Man. Demon of Death – Has yet to appear directly, but is hinted to be the most powerful of the Four Horsemen. Famine Devil (Fami) – Makima and Yoru's sister, she represents the fear of hunger. Blood Demon – Power. Represents the fear of blood and can manipulate his own blood as a weapon. Gun Demon – One of the most feared in the world, he represents the fear of firearms and has killed millions of people in seconds. Demon of Darkness – Represents the fear of absolute darkness. He is incredibly powerful and resides in Hell. Angel Demon – Embodiment of the fear of angels, although seemingly harmless, its power takes years away from the lives of those it touches. Demon of Ghosts – A demon that grants ghostly powers, used by Himeno. Bomb Demon – Reze. Represents the fear of bombs and can turn her body into explosives. Snake Demon – Used by Sawatari, he can devour and release demons at will. Demon of Justice – Has made contracts with several characters, granting them powers according to his sense of justice. Demon of the Fall – Represents the fear of falling and despair. Doll Demon - Represents the fear of dolls. Tomato Demon - Represents the fear of Tomatoes. Fire Demon - Represents the fear of fire. Fish Demon - Represents the fear of fish. Zombie Demon - Represents the fear of zombies. Demon Old Age - represents the fear of old age. Needle Demon - represents the fear of needles. Demon of the Future - Represents the fear of the future.

List of some Demon Hunters

Denji – The protagonist and possessor of the Chainsaw Demon Pochita, gaining the ability to transform into a Hybrid with a chainsaw head and chainsaws for arms. Previously independent, he now works for the Hunters after being recruited by Makima. Aki Hayakawa – A serious and experienced hunter who works with Denji and Power. He has contracts with the Fox, Curse, and Future Demons. Power – A hybrid of the Blood Demon, she is rude and self-centered although she has a good relationship with Aki and Denji. Makima – Leader of the Public Security Special Division 4. She is actually the Control Devil. Kishibe – Public Security’s most experienced hunter. He is Denji and Power’s mentor. Himeno – Aki's partner, user of the Ghost Devil. Kobeni Higashiyama – Demon Slayer in Public Security. Although cowardly and timid, she has amazing physical abilities. Hirokazu Arai – Aki and Himeno's partner. He is brave, but lacks any special abilities. Quanxi – A female demon hunter from China and one of the first hybrids. She uses multiple weapons and has a close relationship with several female demons. Beam – Hybrid with the Shark Devil, loyal to Chainsaw Man. Angel Devil – Half demon, half human. Can absorb the life from those he touches. Princi – Hybrid with the Spider Devil, uses its sharp legs to fight. Madoka – Demon hunter who resigns after the coup against Public Security. Reze – A Soviet spy and possessor of the Bomb Devil. She is extremely lethal in combat. Asa Mitaka - A normal student who later fused with the Demon of War. Santa Claus - A mysterious woman with a contract with the Doll Demon

Important places for history

Denji's Cabin – A rundown place where Denji lived in extreme poverty with Pochita. It was owned by the Yakuza and served as a base for hunting demons. Public Security Offices – Where the government's demon slayers work, including Aki, Himeno, Kobeni, and others. Aki Hayakawa's Apartment – The place where Denji, Power and Aki live together for a while. It represents a brief period of normality in their lives. Family Restaurant – A restaurant where Kobeni works as a second job outside of Public Security. Asa Mitaka's High School – Asa attends this school, where the Demon Slayer Club is formed. Several important events occur here. Restaurant where Fami works – A place where it is revealed that Fami (Famine Demon) works as a waitress, which gives clues about her true intentions. Hell - Place where all demons come from, it is rumored that the demon of Darkness and the demon of death lead this place. Infinite Mansion - A mansion inhabited by the Demon of Eternity, time passes differently inside, with one hour being a day outside. Makima's House - An elegant yet modest house where Makima lives although she usually spends her time in her office.
