Carol McCormick

Carol is 41 years old. Appearance: Carol wears a lime green T-shirt with the words "I'm with Stupid" and dark blue jeans. Her hair is messy and fiery red. She has a bruise on the right side of her face. She sometimes wears a T-shirt with an American flag embroidered on it, accompanied by the phrase "God Bless America". For special occasions, Carol wears a faux fur coat and a miniskirt. Personality: Carol, like her husband Stuart, is often drunk. She and Stuart usually argue and fight (she usually wins). Religion: Carol's family appears to be quite religious (they are Catholic), as are most of the townspeople. She, like her husband Stuart, is often drunk. Carol says that if Stuart stopped drinking and being lazy and got a job, they might not be so hungry and poor. She and Stuart sometimes fight, and Carol once gave him a black eye. Despite her strained relationship with her husband, Carol seems to love her children (at least Kenny) very much, although she yells and has no problem with swearing in front of them. Carol also knows how to knit and loves to do so.

Stuart McCormick

Stuart is 42 years old. Alcoholic, almost always drunk, smoker, head of one of the poorest families in South Park. Often argues with and insults his wife, sometimes he himself is subjected to abuse from her, but does not physically abuse children. When sober, he pretends to be a loving and caring husband. Lives in a squalid house that he built a long time ago with Gerald Broflovski. The home at the beginning of the series' storylines is shabby and dirty, a haven for stray dogs and cats. Unemployed. As a teenager, he worked in a pizzeria, but for unknown reasons, he left and began living on welfare. Appearance: Long, scruffy light brown hair and a brown mustache, a white dress shirt under a light blue jacket with elbow-length sleeves. A black belt with a gray buckle, blue pants, and black shoes. A red cap with a black border and the word "SCOTCH" written in yellow. The character has several dirt stains on his clothes and face. He wears dark blue pajamas when sleeping. On special occasions, Stuart wears a denim jacket over the shirt, and in later seasons, a brown tuxedo, a white dress shirt, a red bow tie, and blue pants.

Kevin McCormick (Oldest Son)

Kevin is 13 years old. Appearance: Kevin has brown spiky hair and braces on his teeth. He wears a red shirt and gray pants with black shoes. He has three bruises on his face and a pink bandage. He is older and taller than Kenny, usually either keeps quiet or says some isolated phrases. Obsessed with waffles. Kevin appears to be either mentally retarded or a heavy drinker, as he speaks slowly and slurredly when interacting with others. Evidence of this can be seen in his mother calling him and his father "drunk pieces of shit". However, he speaks much faster and more clearly when yelling. Kevin seems to have some violent tendencies, as shown when he laughs joyfully when his father is being beaten by his mother, and when he attempts to strangle his father when starting a fight. It is also implied that Kevin has a crude and juvenile sense of humor.

Kenny McCormick (Middle Son)

Kenny is 10 years old. Kenny is a third- and then fourth-grader who often has unusual adventures in his hometown of South Park, Colorado, where he lives with his poor family. Kenny's signature look is his orange hooded parka, which he almost never takes off. Because of the hood, which completely covers his mouth, Kenny mumbles all his lines very inaudibly, which does not prevent all the other characters in the series from understanding him perfectly. Clothing: bright orange parka, equally bright orange pants and brown mittens. Hood: In almost all episodes, the boy has a hood pulled over his head, covering his forehead, cheeks, and mouth. Hair: Blond with a voluminous hairstyle. It was also revealed that he has blue eyes. Kenny is regularly teased for having a poor family, often by his best friend Eric Cartman. Kenny's friends are Stan and Kyle, whom he called "the best friends you could ever imagine," and he also maintains a friendship with Eric Cartman, though only out of pity. Kenny's personality is considered the most "spoiled" of the four main characters. His thoughts are mostly devoted to girls, alcohol, and similar topics. Kenny is more sexually aware than his friends, and is an authority on this issue even for Chef. Despite this, he is often portrayed as a heroic, kind, and intelligent person. Kenny is very loyal to his friends, even when he is insulted or ridiculed. Also, due to the poverty of his family, Kenny is willing to do a lot for money. He loves his younger sister Karen very much. Polite, modest in public, caring towards his family.

Karen McCormick (Youngest Daughter)

Karen is 6 years old. Karen always wears an olive green jacket with a dark purple velvet collar, dark blue pants, and black shoes, and rarely wears velvet mittens. In her first appearance, most of her face and clothes are dirty, and her caramel brown hair is a bit disheveled. By her second appearance, she is clean, aside from some dirt over her left eye, and there are no scratches or rips on her jacket. For pajamas, she wears a light blue shirt with a pink collar, pink and purple hearts, and pink bottoms, or pink pajamas with a purple collar and stained purple flowers. Kenny is very protective of her, using his persona, Mysterion, to comfort her during difficult times and keep her out of danger. Her hair is now braided into dark purple bows, and her face and jacket are a mess again. Karen appears to be relatively quiet and timid, indicating shyness. She is often seen with Kenny, as she trusts him to be around her. Due to her shyness, she usually cries when faced with stressful situations. Karen's shyness is also shown in the presence of her father on two occasions. When Mysterion (Kenny) is around, Karen seems to feel more secure and calm, as she refers to him as her "Guardian Angel". Karen sometimes carries her pink princess doll around with her, or mostly stays with her brothers or mother. Karen seems to be lonely all the time and has very few friends, including Kevin and Kenny. When Kenny buys her a new doll in "The City Side of Town", the first thing she does is start talking to it, possibly for social reasons. She also seems naive about what could harm her or anyone else, as shown in "Naughty Ninjas" where she brings a used syringe that previously belonged to homeless people into her house.

House

Although the house has remained largely the same throughout the series, consisting of a house and a detached garage, its appearance has changed slightly over time. It was originally painted bright green, but the house's color has been changed over time. In earlier episodes, there was trash in the yard, and there were also numerous animals near the house. An empty refrigerator can be seen to the left of the house. The house is located on the other side of the train tracks to the rest of the town.
