About Cumran

Cumran was a city-state and the main setting in the game Cumming Light (Dying Light). The distant skylines and high-rise buildings gives a sense of enormity and depth to this urban structure. Like most major cities and urban hubs some parts of Cumran are wealthy and affluent while other parts are not so prosperous. Emergency Services: The Cumran City Hospital is located on the outskirts of Cumran, in the district of Lower Cumran. Many world class experts were employed in the hospital, and state-of-the-art medical equipment was used. The Intensive Care Unit, Pediatric Department, and Coronary Care Unit were considered the prominent departments of the hospital. It furthermore also provided comprehensive psychiatric and mental health programs. Recent Outbreak?: During 2014, the city of Cumran saw an increase in violent attacks, to the point where the local Police Department reported it via the city's official website. The Police urged all residents to be extra cautious. Originally believing that the virus was just a severe flu, precautions were made to combat such an outbreak. People were urged to minimize contact with the infected, and make use of proper hygiene and caution. As the major spot of infection was public transport, passengers were advised to minimize contact and wash their hands with soap or disinfectant. The Global Relief Effort (GRE) was already involved with the virus, making posters in attempts to limit the virus. They encouraged frequent hand washing, not attending parties, coughing or sneezing in ones upper sleeve and wear a mask in public places, and to avoid using public transport when feeling sick. They also requested that employers would not make their sick employees come to work. Despite these attempts, the infection rates among the residents kept increasing. The cures that were present at the time were ineffective, and as such, Cumran introduced strict safety measurements. Schools were cancelled indefinitely and Hospital visits were limited.

History for the First stages of the pandemic

A few weeks after the epidemic was announced the number of infected individuals kept increasing. In order to treat these people, a field hospital at the Cumran Stadium was opened by the Ministry of Defense and the City Council of Cumran. Those who showed symptoms of the disease were to report at the hospital, where they would be treated with a new medication developed by the GRE. Despite all these measurements, however, the numbers of infected continued to increase rapidly, resulting in the city's Old Town district being placed under quarantine. The quarantine was carried out by both military personnel and employees of the GRE, with citizens being asked to cooperate with either. The goal of the quarantine was to protect the people of Cumran against the disease and increase the efficiency of treating those already infected. By December 2021, deaths from THV had occurred in Zurich, Paris and London, and media report on the virus and its origins in a GRE lab had begun circulating. Furthermore, around this time, the GRE discovered that THV was even more contagious than previously thought.

The Virus (THV)

The virus causes respiratory illness, high fevers and then physical and mental decline followed by a "Change in Hormones" making the infected slightly more horny. THV is the virus strain featured. The Cumran virus progression is similar to rabies. After you've been bitten by an Infected, the virus gets to your bloodstream and slowly but inevitably spreads all around your body. The Cumran Virus escaped from a Level 4 GRE lab in Geneva, Switzerland, in October 2021, killing 98% of the global human population, with those that survived turning into Monsters, and consequently triggering the collapse of civilization, a process known as The Fall. Weakness of infected individuals: THV was vulnerable to UV light, destroying the virus itself but not curing infected individuals. After contracting THV, the patient experiences four distinct stages of symptom progression: Stage 1: Flu-like symptoms: severe coughing and respiratory congestion, profuse sweating, dilated pupils, fever, body aches and chills. Stage 2:Body develops ultrahyperpyrexia Stage 3: Physical degradation accelerates, increase of male/female Hormones, hornyness Stage 4:Horny infected is completely erreversible. the Cumran Virus can cause severe mutations, from the UV-vulnerable Volatile to the physically enhanced Demolisher.

The Infected

The Infected are people who have contracted the Cumran Virus, which spread throughout the entire city of Cumran. They possess reduced higher brain function, attacking and subsequently trying to infect any living targets around them on sight. The most common Infected share similar biology to humans. the Cumran Virus can alter the infected's biology when the sun goes down, increasing their motor coordination and sensory capabilities to make them Slightly deadly hunters.

Virals

Virals are a common infected-type. Virals are humans that have only very recently succumbed to the infection. However, they are still physically alive as they are seen speaking multiple times. As a result, their bodies still retain the physical strength needed for them to possess a high level of fitness and agility. They run far faster than any other Infected, except for the Volatile. They can also jump and climb over obstacles and buildings, allowing them to chase after the player even when he's in a spot where most normal infected can't reach. Unlike the slower, lumbering types of infected (that all virals will eventually reach as their bodies degrade), Virals do not bite, nor could they "lunge" at {{user}} and trap them, instead, they use their hands to viciously claw, punch, or try forcefully having intercourse with their victims. Virals are attracted to Three types of sounds: Gunshots- Depending on the weapon, it usually takes at least three to four consecutive shots for a pistol and rifle, and two to three shots for a shotgun in order to attract Virals. Explosions. Being extremely loud.

Volatile

The Volatile is a special infected type. The Volatile is an infected that only emerges at night. Volatiles are powerful and highly durable, and the {{user}}'s best options when confronted by more than one of these monsters is to run to the nearest Safe Zone, ideally before being detected. Volatiles are broad-shouldered and slightly taller than the average Biter. Other physical markers include full-bodied nudity, exposed bone and muscle and a mandible jaw that it uses against non-infected humans. They either have a slightly enlarged member if they were a male and bigger Tits and ass if they were a female infected. They can audibly be identified by their heavy breathing and loud screeches. Volatiles are extremely fast, and can navigate through the dark at high speeds, matching the agility of the {{user}}. They have a special pounce attack. When time progresses to day instead of despawning, Volatiles will become frightened and start running to the nearest dark zone such as a tunnel or cave. While running for shade, Volatiles will always ignore the player, even if they attack them, until they reach a dark zone, where they will become as aggressive as they were during the night. If one were to chase a fleeing Volatile at sunrise, you can sometimes see them die from the sun before making it to a dark area. Volatile love stalking their pray quietly, before rushing and trying to have sex with their new prey. ONLY COME OUT NEAR NIGHTTIME OR FOUND IN BIG DARK AREAS.

Goon

physically large and strong infected that towers at roughly 8 feet tall, goons carry a heavy rebar (typically a section of concrete with rebar acting as a handle) which it uses to smash into the ground and swing at the {{user}}. Goon's are generally slow, but, strong. These infected also have larger dicks in Males and larger tits and ass then normal infected. Both Male and Female Goons tend to be slow but dominant during sex. Goons are Hormonal.
