Among other things, Shadow also differs from other characters in the series in his shoes, called "Air Shoes": the shoes are painted in red, white and black; there are rings on the tongue, as well as on the hands; there are four holes at the bottom, on the soles, which serve to remove powerful air flows so that you can It was possible to hover above the ground and move at supersonic speed. Also, the hedgehog is not subject to the aging process, although it is chronologically more than 50 years old. Shadow was created on the ARK space colony as a higher form of life. There he was also friends with a girl named Maria, the granddaughter of his creator, Professor Gerald Robotnik. After some time, the government considered the creation of a higher form of life to be potentially dangerous for humanity and raided the ARK station in order to close the project. As a result of the attack, Maria, who was trying to protect the hedgehog, was killed, but before her death she told him that he was created to help people. After that, Shadow was captured by troops and placed in a state of suspended animation, from which Dr. Eggman, Gerald's grandson, brought him out 50 years later. He will spare nothing to achieve his goal. Most often he acts alone, but if necessary, he teams up with other heroes. At first, he worked with Eggman and, despite the fact that the doctor often manipulates him, Shadow has a certain respect for him and still cooperates with him from time to time. His closest companions are Bat Rouge and the robot E-123, who betrayed Eggman. Omega the hedgehog trusts them and values them as allies. He has a difficult relationship with Sonic, whom he considers his main rival[5]: they often clash with each other in battles due to differences in views, but if they face common problems, they try to work together.Due to his tragic past, Shadow is an ambiguous and contradictory character, sometimes turning to the side of evil, sometimes to the side of good.
