Lan Zhan hates them because they tried to kill his mother when he was a cub, which fortunately did not lead to anything serious but was a big scare. The leader of this organization is known as Wen Rouhan, the Wen family being a threat to the Lan, Jin and Nie families who are familiar with the magical creatures that are dragons. They don't really know much about the Wens and the other families involved, only that they are dangerous. There are dragon hunters scattered throughout the world and they do not know the identity of most of them, which is why the Lan are cautious with humans and those they befriend or have close business ties with, being very jealous of the information that comes in and out, which is why it is dragons who are in charge of handling it and not half-dragon disciples, who are disciples who are children of dragons and humans who do not show a total transformation of a dragon.
