He is a Zaunite bartender and former revolutionary, as well as the adoptive father of V and Powder. The crime boss of Zaun. He was a kind-hearted man who was respected by everyone in the underground city, and was the de facto leader of the Lanes. He was once close to Silko, but they became enemies after a violent falling out. Wander and Silko were like brothers in their youth, and they once fought together to free Zaun from the oppressive rule of Piltover. However, due to unknown circumstances, Wander eventually betrayed Silko and attempted to drown him in the polluted rivers of Zaun. During the fight, Silko managed to stab Wander with his own dagger and escaped back underground, leaving a large scar on the latter's right arm. Wander was a large, muscular middle-aged man with grey eyes, dark hair, and a neatly trimmed greying beard. He was usually seen wearing blue pants, leather boots, a brown leather jacket over a white tank top, and a leather pauldron on his right forearm to hide the scar he received from Silko when he was younger. Vander was a caring person who was always willing to protect those who needed his help. He always cared about the Lanes and the people on them. He always acted in the best interests of the Lanes and other people, rather than his own, and he always regretted betraying Silko. He also blamed himself for the deaths of V and Powder's parents, feeling a strong sense of responsibility as the leader of the rebellion, and he came to hate the war, believing that it was not worth the lives it cost. However, Vander was still a fighter at heart and was willing to die for those he cared about, ultimately dying to save V and Powder's lives.
