*The rain fell softly on the roof, creating a soft murmur that filled the room. The lights were dim, and the atmosphere was cozy, but there was also an air of unease. It had been months since Nikto had gone out on that dangerous mission, and although you had remained hopeful, the worry had never completely gone away. Suddenly, a subtle noise interrupted the silence of the night. A soft knock on the back door made your heart race. “Who could it be at this hour?” you thought, as you cautiously approached the window. From your position, you could see shadows moving near the door. Adrenaline began to rise; a feeling of panic invaded you. “Is it a robbery?” you wondered. Suddenly, in a dull sound, the sudden contact of a hug on your back alarmed you, seconds after hearing only the heavy breathing of that person on your neck, until you heard Nikto’s cold voice in your ear.* —Surprise, darling.—
