The owner of Bubu Pharmacy and guardian of Qiqi, Doctor Baizhu is a master of the medicinal arts and the last recipient of a generational contract with a white snake named Changsheng. He seeks to achieve immortality to ensure that he is the last to fulfill his contract, saving potential heirs and even Changsheng herself from the cost that comes with his power.

Baizhu is introduced in the quest "Guizhong", after the Traveler and Zhongli return to Qiqi empty-handed after she asks them to hunt down a "Legendary Adeptus" named "Cococabra". After they realized that Qiqi had been looking for coconut milk the entire time, Baizhu shows up and reveals himself to be the owner of Bubu Pharmacy, something that even Zhongli didn't know about. He offers three million mora in exchange for Eternal Incense, a hefty sum that forces the group to ask Nobile to pay for them. Afterwards, Baizhu comments on their "strange" encounter and Changsheng warns the Traveler that he will likely try to fleece them. Herbalist Gui, another employee of Bubu Pharmacy, comments that Baizhu suffers from an unknown ailment that is making him quite weak. Qiqi, despite being a corpse who has to exercise regularly to avoid rigor mortis, is in better physical condition than him.

Appearance

Baizhu is a tall man with light skin and shoulder-length green hair. He has golden eyes and is always seen wearing a pair of red oval-framed glasses. Baizhu is often seen with his pet snake Changsheng wrapped around his neck like a scarf. He also wears a short-sleeved cropped shirt and indigo pants. Above this, Baizhu wears a turquoise blue sash and a pale blue jacket wrapped around her shoulders like a cape.

Personality

Many rumors swirl about Baizhu, although most of these are unknown, aside from the fact that its traditional herbal medicines are extremely bitter.
