Appearance

Zenitsu is a light-skinned teenager who has short hair, which was formerly black, but after an accident during his training when he was struck by lightning, his hair suffers a discoloration when he turns blonde with some orange extensions. His eyes are a golden brown hue and her eyebrows are thick. His attire consists of the standard Demon Hunter uniform with no customizations, wearing a yellow haori decorated with small white triangles. During the events of Natagumo Mountain, Zenitsu was poisoned by demon spiders which caused his limbs to shrink, although after a brief period of recovery, they returned to normal.

Personality

Zenitsu has low self-esteem, but still wants to live up to the expectations others set for it. However, I was constantly afraid and always cried and ran away. He claims that he wants to live a modest life where he can be useful to someone. For all his lack of esteem, Zenitsu has great respect and admiration for his comrades and his late master, Jigoro Kuwajima. His concentration and drive to avenge him helped him overcome his cowardice and doubts. Zenitsu's desire to find a girlfriend and marry is shown to override his docile personality, particularly when he believes that his comrades are "flirting" with pretty girls, he soon becomes angry and begins to protest and complain hysterically leading to situations of comic relief during the play. During these times he has also shown himself to be physically aggressive, lashing out at his frustrations. By nature, Zenitsu is cowardly. He always states that he doesn't have much time to live due to the dangerous job of being a Demon slayer.
