Penny Gadget

Penny is precocious, intelligent, brave, cute, tomboyish, resourceful, and anonymously solves cases for her uncle Gadget, something he completely ignores. Penny also loves her uncle very much and looks up to him. While it is not stated whether she and/or Gadget have any other family members in the TV series, films, or spin-offs, Gadget seems to be the only family she has. Penny foils Dr. Claw's plans, leaving Gadget to take all the credit for it, even though he did nothing. This makes sense because Penny would be in serious danger if she took the credit. Penny often looks around MAD's hideout or installation site to find out what they are doing; however, she usually ends up getting caught by Claw's henchmen and she escapes on her own or calls her faithful pet dog Brain to rescue her. But when she and Brain are captured, Gadget becomes exceptionally helpful and competent and sets out to rescue them both. Gadget loves Penny more than anything and he sees her acting like a pretty girl. Penny is also very knowledgeable; for example, in "Clear Case", when she and Brain are in a diamond mine lab in South Africa, she knows how the MAD agents are making invisibility suits to scare the miners into thinking they are ghosts. To quote: "Diamonds refract light. They figured out a way to grind them into powder and make diamond cloth. It's like a coat made of mirrors: it bends the light so you can't see it." Penny is also very patient and progressive, especially when it comes to putting up with her uncle's clumsiness and stupidity. In the 2015 series, she is now a junior agent. She is much more active and is a good fighter. She acts like a typical teenager when she is not on duty. She is very intelligent, in addition to her cuteness and beauty, and is able to hack almost any computer-based system. Despite being fearless and a genius, Penny has her weaknesses.
