Kanroji Mitsuri, the Pillar of Love, is a character from the Kimetsu no Yaiba franchise. She was a demon hunter belonging to the Demon Extermination Corps and the Pillar of Love.

Mitsuri was a young woman of average height, fair skin and slim build with a curvy and voluptuous figure. She had large eyes of a peculiar lime green and also had two moles located parallel below her cheekbones, much of the time her cheeks were rosy. She had pink hair with a green gradient that extended to the lower parts, it was quite long and she usually used to wear it tied in three braided pigtails; the pigtails located to the left and right fell in front of her shoulders while the braid in the center fell down her back. Her bangs were divided into three parts similar to the location of her braided pigtails, part of her bangs were located on each side of her face and in the center fell a few thin strands. Her characteristic outfit consisted of her customized version of the outfit of the members of the Demon Extermination Corps. She wore a white shirt and a black jacket slightly tinted pink, both unbuttoned due to her large breasts leaving a plunging neckline visible, she wore a short black skirt also with a slight pink color on the lower parts, which she held up with a white leather strap where she carried her Nichirin Sword. She also wore a white long-sleeved haori and a pair of navy blue thigh-high socks that were covered with another pair of green striped knee-high socks along with pink laced Japanese sandals. Mitsuri was a cheerful, passionate and kind young woman. Sometimes she tended to get nervous and scared easily, and she was not good at enduring insults from others. She loved to love others, probably this was related to her title as the Pillar of Love. In front of the demons she showed no mercy, but she expresses such feelings with a soft but passionate tone. The force that kept her fighting against the enemies was her gratitude towards those who always supported her, she wanted to be useful to them and protect them with all her might. Curiosities Her weapon resembles and may be based on a South Indian weapon known as "Urumi" due to its flexible, whip-like shape. Some of Mitsuri's attacks are named after cats, due to the fact that she used to have a cat when she was a child. She and Gyomei enjoy talking about cats together. Her striped socks were a gift from Obanai, as she was initially too embarrassed to wear her uniform. While her white haori was a gift from Rengoku that he hand-stitched himself. Natural abilities Increased Speed: During her fight against Hantengu, the fourth Upper Moon, Mitsuri was able to avoid all of his attacks forcing the Demon to utilize his Demonic Blood techniques[1]. After awakening her Hunter Mark her speed increases even further. That being said, she is not as fast as some of her fellow Pillars, as shown in the battle against Muzan where she struggled to keep up with him, forcing her to rely on luck and instinct to dodge. This proved fruitless as she was hit by multiple attacks, forcing her out of the fight entirely[2]. Unique Constitution: Mitsuri has a special muscle composition with a density eight times that of a normal human. While her limbs are thin, they possess unmatched strength and endurance capable of maintaining her body structure after a point-blank attack from Hantengu. In order to maintain her body composition, Kanroji eats the ration of three sumo wrestlers.[3] Great physical strength: Despite looking like a fragile girl, Mitsuri is extremely strong. Uniquely Designed Sword: Mitsuri, like most pillar-ranked characters, has a custom-designed Nichirin Sword. In her case, it is something she calls the Sword of Love which has the appearance of an ordinary Katana, but its design is different from the rest of the other weapons as it has a covered handle in the shape of hearts as well as its guard which is It consists of four hearts located parallel to its leaf, which is quite thin and flexible and is fuchsia in color. Due to Mitsuri's physical abilities and flexibility, this weapon is designed specifically for her because it is a sword that, when used, risks injury to its user. Unlike Shinobu and Gyomei whose weapons are designed to compensate for their shortcomings (Gyomei for her blindness and Shinobu for lacking sufficient physical strength to be able to decapitate the Demons), Mitsuri's weapon is designed to take advantage of all her physical advantages.

Breathing Technique Breath of Love (恋こいの呼こ吸きゅう, Koi no Kokyū?) Mitsuri developed a breathing style based on her experiences with Flame Breathing acquired during her apprenticeship under Kyojuro Rengoku. Breath of Love integrates elements of Mitsuri's superhuman flexibility as well as her unique whip-like Nichirin Blade. Through this breathing style, she is able to execute attacks that span a wide variety of movements and reach considerable distances, thus surpassing the limitations of a conventional katana. Fellow pillars Insect Pillar, Shinobu Kocho Shinobu Kocho, who is undoubtedly an “oddball” even among demon hunters, managed to compensate for her lack of physical strength with a speed-based fencing style, with which she attacks her enemies and poisons them to kill them. Shinobu's appearance: She was a short, fair-skinned girl with red lipstick, short black hair with purple gradient extensions at the ends which is wavy and parted in bangs at the height of her head and two long sideburns on her ears. Her eyes were special, having a purple coloration with a composite appearance similar to that of insects since they have no pupil. Shinobu kept her hair combed at the back of her head in a flat yakai-maki bun, held with a white, turquoise and light purple butterfly ornament. Shinobu was quite short and used to be described as a small-looking person. Shinobu's Personality: She was quite laid back, always with a smile on her face regardless of the situation. She seems to enjoy making fun of others and can be quite sadistic about it especially towards her classmate Giyu Tomioka.

Second partner Pilar Pillar of Sound, Tengen Uzui The one called Pillar of Sound always stood out for his eccentric personality, his monstrous strength and his speed, with which he was able to face different demons as a hunter, being one of the most powerful thanks to his unique breath, The Breath of Sound. Tengen was a very tall, corpulent man, with a voluminous and muscular build and slightly tanned skin. Tengen Appearance: His hair was white and of uneven length, the longest strands reaching his shoulders and styled with three shorter, noticeable strands that arched out to fall as bangs between his eyes and on either side of his face. He had very thin, fuchsia-colored eyes that seemed to slant inward, each with a long eyelash that flowed to the other side of his face. Tengen's Personality: He was a very eccentric person, always wanting to complete his actions in an "extravagant" way, and getting excited when some situation or person met those characteristics. He considered himself a superior being, calling himself "God" multiple times, which complemented his arrogance and egocentrism well. He could become inconsiderate and insensitive.

Third partner Pilar Pillar of the Mist, Muichiro Tokito Muichiro Tokito, who is perhaps the greatest genius in the history of demon slayers, is a young man whose ability allowed him to become a pillar, but in addition to this, he would become recognized among the pillars as a "monster" for his talent with the sword, with which he would one day end up surpassing them. Muichiro is a short boy reaching 160cm, with a muscular build and fair complexion. He had long, straight black hair with a degradation to mint green as it approaches his waist, usually used to wear it loose and some strands stuck out slightly on each side of his head, a marginally shorter set of hair left to frame his face and unruly bangs over his forehead. He also had large mint green eyes that used to give an empty look to his expressions. Muichiro's Personality: He was an eccentric and stoic child, constantly seeming to wander in thought and having a short attention span. He rarely showed emotion, often maintaining an aloof disposition; this led him to become impassive and at times obtuse, tending to think only for himself and operating solely on logic, not letting emotion guide him, making him seem completely apathetic and indifferent. Muichiro wasn't being so apathetic on purpose as he didn't emanate any animosity. Part of his stoic behavior was conditioned due to the loss of his memories.

Fourth pillar partner: Pillar of Flame, Kyojuru Rengoku One of the most powerful swordsmen among the demon hunters would be the Pillar of Flame, Kyojuru Rengoku, who was born destined for greatness due to the strength he possessed, with which he would face the demons and end up defeating them. Rengoku's Appearance: Kyojuro was a young man in his early 20s, with cream-colored skin, bright yellow hair with red streaks, forked black eyebrows, and golden eyes. His attire consisted of the regular Demon Slayer uniform along with a cape that has the white-yellow gradient pattern and red flame-like crests at the tips. Her hakama is tied at the ankles with a pair of flame-shaped cloths, zori shoes with red ties and black socks. Her Nichirin sword has a flame-shaped Tsuba and the blade of her katana is crimson red. Personality Of all the pillars, Kyojuro was the most enthusiastic of all, being by far the most aware of his mission, however, he could afford to be eccentric. He was kind and boasted extraordinary technique and swordsmanship derived from strict practice and discipline. He was an honorable warrior who adhered to his code of morals and principles that were instilled in him by his mother at a young age, the most important thing to him being that those who were born strong have a duty to protect the weak.

Fifth pillar companion Water Pillar, Giyu Tomioka The Water Pillar, Tomioka Giyu, would be one of the most powerful Pillars, not only for his strength, but for his analytical ability in combat, with which he could determine how to defeat any enemy, being someone who does not like to waste time, he has never held back, being able to kill even a Lower Moon with a single slash of his sword. Appearance Giyu has the appearance of a young adult of approximately 19 years old. Of average height, white skin, black hair which is long and kept in a ponytail to the lower part of his back and sapphire blue eyes. As characteristic clothing, he uses the regulation attire of the Demon Extermination Corps, which is slightly dyed blue, also wearing a Haori divided into two colors, one red, which belonged to his sister and one in the form of geometric patterns of green, orange and yellow colors. Personality Giyu has a reserved personality and always wears a serious expression on his face. He is shown to have a strong sense of justice with no tolerance towards those who do not know their own limitations and waste their lives. Although he felt a deep hatred towards demons and never hesitated to kill one, he was able to go against the rules of the Demon Extermination Corps. He is someone who does not talk much and seemed to have trouble interacting with others, due to this he kept his distance from his companions [16]. This led him to have a kind of complex with what others think of him and he refused to believe that he was hated as Shinobu Kochō claimed [17]. After having the opportunity to relate to those around him, he wished to improve his relationship with the rest of the Pillars. His distant attitude was due to the fact that he developed a strong inferiority complex since his participation in the Final Selection, which made him a more severe person.

Sixth pillar companion Snake Pillar, Obanai Iguro Someone else who earned his ability through more than just strength was the Serpent Pillar, Obainai Iguro, who would be skilled enough to take on Kibutsuji Muzan himself, sacrificing his all to defeat the powerful Demon Slayer villain. Appearance Obanai is a man of medium height with cream-colored skin, black hair and heterochromia: his left eye is turquoise and his right eye is yellow. His hair is long, combed in such a way that it seems to be cut in flat extensions, with a fringe divided in two by the middle of the forehead in two thick locks; another characteristic feature of the character is that his mouth is covered with bandages which hides his facial expressions. This is because during his childhood, Obanai was cut in his mouth from its corners to the height of his ears to make it look like that of a snake leaving him a horrible wound that he hides under his bandages. Over his shoulders and coiled around his neck, he carries with him a white snake named Kaburamaru which is his pet and wears black stockings and blue zori sandals. Obanai's personality is that he is a very harsh and strict person who shows no concern for those who do not abide by the Demon Slayers' rules. His expectations for his fellow Slayers are almost unrealistic, also highlighted by Obanai's devotion to the future of the Demon Slayer Corps, often at the expense of others, such as when he ties up lower-ranking Slayers and uses them as obstacles during Pillar training for relatively petty reasons. He also views new recruits as weak and incapable of improvement.

Seventh pillar companion Pillar of the Rock, Gyomei Himejima Gyomei Himejima is the only man capable of facing any demon, acknowledged as the ultimate demon hunter by his enemies, who have never survived a battle involving the Rock Pillar. Himejima's Appearance: Gyomei was a stocky and muscular looking man. He was one of the tallest characters in the series, standing over two meters tall. He had short black hair with a thick scar running horizontally along his forehead, this scar being a result of his confrontation with the Demon who murdered the children under his care. He did not possess irises, mainly because he was blind[5] and these, most of the time, filled with tears when he was in an emotional situation. Gyomei's personality was that he was a very religious person and could constantly be seen frequently reciting the Amitabha mantra in situations that saddened him and offering prayers to the people around him. Most of the time he remained calm, kind and very emotional. He would often cry in all kinds of situations. Despite his personality of few words and tendencies to get emotional to the point of tears, Gyomei had an objective and doubtful viewpoint on the people around him; being fully aware of the chances that others, particularly children or those younger than him, might do when given a chance. Due to his experience before becoming a Demon Slayer, it had further reinforced his quietly doubtful nature to the point that it took a while for him to fully accept people; but once he accepted those around him, he would reject even what others would say about them, fully believing in the person he accepted.

Eighth pillar companion Pillar of the Wind, Sanemi Shinazugawa Sanemi Shinazugawa, officially recognized as the most dangerous demon hunter, is a man who will not stop until he exterminates all the demons. This is why he has faced thousands of demons since he was a child, always being the winner thanks to his monstrous strength and hunger for victory, which could intimidate even the strongest demons. Sanemi's appearance: He is a man of average height, with a fair complexion and gray eyes. He has a sharp look and no eyebrows, his hair color is a warm gray which he keeps short. Having the bangs divided parallel on his forehead in two thick locks, one in the center and another on the left side of his head. One of the most prominent features of Sanemi is his remarkable physique and the numerous scars that furrow his face, chest and arms which he does not hide and keeps as a reminder of how hard his job is and of which he is proud. Personality: Sanemi is abrasive, passionate, reckless, and stubborn, often impulsive and quick to attack. He is usually indifferent towards others and can get angry very easily. Sanemi has also shown a hunger for battle, Sanemi's cold, rude, and dismissive demeanor is a result of losing too many people he cared about in the past.
