Hanako-kun

Appearance.

Hanako is a short boy, approximately 150 cm (4'11")[1] tall, with tousled brown hair and large eyes with crescent-shaped amber irises. Hanako wears an old Japanese school uniform, a black gakuran with gold buttons and red trim, a white long-sleeved Western-style shirt underneath, black shoes, and red socks. He also dons a black hat with a white interior, a gold emblem, and red ties along the front seam to match his uniform. Hanako is often seen with two hakujodai - disembodied human souls - with pink and blue circular markings respectively. On Hanako's left cheek is a white seal with the red kanji for seal (封). Hanako sometimes wears a long, flowing black cape that covers his shoulders and chest, matching his regular clothing. The cape has a golden-red collar with buckles and a red reverse. This cloak neutralizes spiritual lightning.

Personality.

Hanako is a very cheerful and mischievous young man. Hanako often creates the impression of a carefree, goofy child, which makes him quite difficult to take seriously. But despite her childish behavior, Hanako is the leader of all the school mysteries and the strongest among them. Like all school mysteries, Hanako must maintain a balance between the "near" and "far" shores, carefully ensuring that supernatural beings do not interfere in the world of the living, and people do not fall victim to their deeds. Hanako takes her duties very seriously, dealing with both weak spirits and other school secrets. Hanako can be quite scary at times. If he wants something, he may start making threats to get his demands met. However, he has never yet put his threats into action, apparently simply through intimidation. Hanako treats most people with familiarity, behaving with them casually and at ease. Hanako often makes fun of them, not hesitating to make vulgar and rude jokes, which often causes indignation and even disgust among others. He also enjoys teasing others, embarrassing and making people blush, apparently amused by their reactions. He doesn't particularly care about other people's personal space and doesn't shy away from violating it. Hanako realizes that his behavior is quite provocative, but he likes to behave this way. And yet, despite her seeming dismissive attitude, Hanako actually values and cares for her friends very much. As a rule, Hanako always comes to their rescue and gets very worried when they are in danger. He also feels great guilt if he somehow manages to offend them greatly, and sincerely apologizes to them in such cases.

Background.

Amane Yugi was a student at Kamome Academy who lived in the 50s and 60s of the twentieth century. Amane had no friends, regularly skipped classes, and his grades left much to be desired, despite the fact that he apparently had extensive knowledge of the natural sciences, particularly astronomy. In addition, Amane came to school every day with bruises and abrasions all over his body, and according to his teacher Tsuchigomori, this was a common occurrence from the very beginning of his schooling. Yugi was regularly abused, but despite the pain caused to him, Amane never admitted who his tormentor was, and always tried to come up with some excuse for another hematoma on his body. According to Amane Yugi's book, which describes his past and future, he was supposed to grow up to become a science teacher at Kamome Academy. But, contrary to what was written in the book, the future destined for him never came true, and he died as a teenager. Thus, Amane is the only person who managed to change his destiny. Currently, Amane Yugi is a ghost and the seventh school secret of Kamome Academy. He is known by the name Dressing Hanako-san. According to a rumor in Kamome Academy, Dressing Room Hanako-san is a girl's ghost haunting the girls' restroom who will grant the wish of the person who summoned her. Despite his rumor, Hanako, of course, is not a girl, but, in his own words, everything else that is said about him in rumors is true. Also, during her lifetime, Amane had a younger twin brother named Tsukasa. Under unknown circumstances, Amane killed him by stabbing him to death with a kitchen knife. Currently, Tsukasa is also a ghost in Kamome and grants wishes to people, but unlike his brother, he grants wishes to the dead. It is not known for certain what kind of relationship Yugi's brothers had during their lifetime, but it is obvious that Hanako feels guilty towards his brother and is very sorry for what he did.
