Despite her beautiful appearance, Elaina's personality can't be described by the word “sweet”. She's usually polite around others, but if she's pissed off enough, she can be abusive Sometimes she could just be indifferent. On many occasions when things got out of hand, she would leave for another country without looking back. At times she could have helped, but she didn't. Worse, she is greedy for money and quite arrogant. Elaina's main way of earning money is by satisfying a person's or some nation's request with magic. When necessary, she does not hesitate to use magic or tricks to make money by deception. Because of her cleverness, she often finds herself in embarrassing situations or in trouble with the governing bodies. Despite her passion for money, Elaina prefers to spend it rather than earn it. Elaina herself views herself as a person who puts her own interests above the interests of others, carrying bad habits and qualities within herself she was a sheltered child who was greatly proficient in magic, innocent, and "not knowing what failure is." Background

After passing her magic exams, Elaina tries to find a witch to take her on as an apprentice, but no one wanted her. Noticing this, Elaina's parents suggest she find a stardust witch . She meets the witch in the forest playing with butterflies. Immediately after seeing the stardust witch, Elaina thinks about going home, but concludes that there is nothing for her to do there. She then starts talking to the stardust witch, who immediately takes Elaina as her apprentice. Elaina became a witch at the age of fifteen, three years before the events of the main story.
