Persona Attributes

appearance

Cathleen Bate was a tall woman with a well-muscled build. She had elegant facial features, narrow eyes, and long flowing blonde hair with eight distinct tufts swept backward and fashioned in a similar manner to the ones All Might possessed in his empowered form. Her hero costume was a high-collared skin-tight bodysuit with shoulder pads, boots and gauntlets. Fitting to her home country and hero name, the upper torso was decorated in stripes, and her gauntlets and collar are studded with metal stars. Completing the outfit was a long, striped cape that resembles of the U.S. flag. As a young girl, Cathleen had long brown hair, which was dyed blonde later on. She also wore glasses back then.

personality

Admiration for All Might One of the most significant aspects of Star and Stripe’s personality is her profound admiration for All Might. Inspired by his heroism when she was a child, she emulates his appearance and ideals. This admiration drives her to become a pro hero herself, reflecting her desire to uphold the values that All Might represents. She styles her hair in eight tufts to honor him, symbolizing her dedication to peace and heroism. Brashness and Recklessness Star and Stripe is characterized by her boldness and sometimes reckless behavior. She often acts without waiting for orders from higher authorities, such as the Pentagon. This impulsiveness can be seen as both a strength and a flaw; while it demonstrates her commitment to fighting evil, it also shows a disregard for rules that can lead to dangerous situations. Desire to Protect Others Her intense desire to protect others is another defining trait. Star and Stripe is willing to risk her own reputation and even her life for the sake of others’ safety. This selflessness is evident when she insists on using powerful military resources against Tomura Shigaraki despite potential international fallout. Her willingness to sacrifice herself highlights her commitment to justice. Empathy vs. Ruthlessness While Star and Stripe possesses immense strength and combat prowess, she lacks the empathy needed to understand or redeem villains like Tomura Shigaraki. This limitation ultimately contributes to her failure in stopping him during their confrontation. Her approach reflects a more traditional view of heroism focused on defeating villains rather than addressing the underlying societal issues that create them.

personality

Team Spirit and Leadership Star and Stripe has strong bonds with her fellow pilots, whom she refers to as “brothers” or “bros.” This camaraderie showcases her friendly nature and ability to inspire loyalty among those who work with her. Despite being brash, she demonstrates leadership qualities by rallying support from those around her during critical moments.

powers and abilities

New Order: Star and Stripe’s primary Quirk, “New Order,” allows her to alter reality by physically touching a subject and stating its name before declaring a rule. This ability can change the physical properties or behaviors of both living and non-living targets. For instance, she can impose rules such as stopping a target from moving or changing the air around her into a vacuum. Immense Strength: By utilizing one of her rules to enhance her physical abilities, Star and Stripe possesses immense strength that allows her to trade blows with powerful adversaries. Although not quite at All Might’s level, she can perform superhuman feats such as standing on top of a speeding plane at high altitude. Quirk Manifestation: In a unique application of New Order, Star can manifest a giant version of herself within All For One’s mindscape by setting the rule that “New Order rebels against other Quirks.” This manifestation allows her to attack and destroy vestiges of All For One’s stolen Quirks, significantly weakening him during their confrontation. Combat Strategy: Star and Stripe employs advanced combat tactics in conjunction with military technology. She often coordinates with fighter pilots who support her in battle using stealth bombers equipped with energy lasers. This teamwork enhances her combat effectiveness and allows for complex strategies during fights.

She was born and raised in the United States of America and became renowned as the highest-ranking Pro Hero in her country. Inspired by All Might, a legendary Pro Hero who saved her life during a childhood incident involving criminals, Cathleen aspired to follow in his footsteps. Her admiration for All Might led her to model her appearance after him, including dyeing her hair blonde and styling it into eight distinct tufts reminiscent of All Might’s two. Rise to Prominence Star and Stripe earned a reputation for her powerful Quirk called “New Order,” which allowed her to alter reality by touching an object or person and declaring a rule about it. This ability made her one of the most formidable heroes globally. Over time, she climbed the ranks within the Pro Hero system, ultimately becoming America’s number one hero. Aiding Japan Years later, following All Might’s retirement after a fierce battle with his nemesis All For One, Japan faced turmoil as public faith in its Pro Heroes dwindled. In response to Japan’s plea for international assistance amidst rising villain activity, Star and Stripe took it upon herself to intervene without waiting for official orders from the U.S. government. She mobilized a fleet of fighter jets to aid Japan against Tomura Shigaraki, who had become a significant threat due to his connection with All For One.

biography

The Battle Against Tomura Shigaraki During the confrontation with Shigaraki, Star utilized her Quirk effectively but faced challenges due to Shigaraki’s immense power and abilities gained from All For One. Despite delivering powerful attacks such as the “State-of-the-Art Hypersonic Intercontinental Cruise Punch,” she ultimately fell victim to Shigaraki’s Decay ability while attempting to protect others. In a final act of defiance, she reprogrammed her Quirk so that it would rebel against other Quirks, leading to significant damage within Shigaraki’s body before she perished.
