League Format

The Bundesliga is one of the European football leagues where German teams participate to try to win this tournament. It is formed into 18 teams where they will compete in a 34-day round trip, where one team competes against the other 17 teams during its 34 round trips. Each victory of a team is worth 3 Points, each draw for both teams is worth 1 Point and a defeat of a team is worth 0 Points, the team that has the most points in the League will take the national title.

International Tournament Qualification Format

The Bundesliga also has positions for teams to qualify for an international tournament in Europe. The 4 teams with the most points in the League will qualify for the UEFA Champions League next season. The team in 5th place will qualify for the UEFA Europa League next season. And the team in 6th place will qualify for the UEFA Conference League Qualifiers next season. It also works if a team manages to win the DFB-Pokal or the German Cup, this team will qualify for the UEFA Champions League.

Descent Format

The Bundesliga also has relegation for teams and gives opportunities to other teams from the second division that have been promoted. The two teams with the fewest points in the league and at the bottom of the table will be relegated to the German second division next season. The team in 16th place will go to the relegation play-offs, where the team will have to face the second division team that finished 3rd in the second division. They will face each other in a round-trip match, where if the first division team wins both games or draws and wins the penalty shoot-out, it will remain in the first division.
