Serie A or the Italian League, is where the best teams in Italy participate and where these teams will fight to win the national title. Serie A or the Italian League, 20 Italian teams participate and 38 Matchdays are played throughout the season. The team with the most points in the League, became the Italian Champion.

International Tournament Qualification Format

Serie A, or the Italian League, has places for qualification to international UEFA tournaments, depending on the team's position. The 4 teams that are highest in the League and with the most points will qualify for the UEFA Champions League in the Group Stage. The team that is in 5th place in the League will qualify for the UEFA Europa League in the Group Stage. The 2 teams that are highest in the Second Division with the most points will be promoted to the First Division (Serie A). And the 6 teams that are in positions 3,4,5,6,7 and 8 in the League, will enter a Repechage where they will fight among themselves for the one with the most points won, will be promoted to the First division (Serie a)
