League Format

The Brasileirao or Brazilian League, is made up of 20 teams, each team will have to face another team to try to get the necessary Points to be in first place in the League and win the trophy.

International Tournament Qualification Format

The Brasileirao or Brazilian League, has places to qualify for an American international tournament. The 4 teams that are highest in the League will qualify for the Copa Libertadores. The two teams that are below 4th place will enter the playoffs to try to qualify for the Copa Libertadores. The teams that are from 7th to 14th will qualify for the Copa Sudamericana.

League Relegation Format

The Brasileirao or Brazilian League, has places for relegation for each team. The 4 teams that have the fewest points in the League will go to the Relegation of the second Brazilian division. They will go to the Brasileirao (Serie B) or Brazilian Second Division.

Brasileirao (Serie B): Vitória, Juventure, Criciúma, Atlético Goianiense, Novorizontino, Mirassol, Sport Recife, Vila Nova-GO, CRB, Guarani, Ceará, Botafogo-SP, Avai, Ituano, Ponte Preta, Chapecoence, Sampaio Corrêa, Tombence , Londrina, ABV.

Second Division Promotion Format.

In the Brasileirao (Série B), there are places for promotion for 4 teams. The 4 teams that are highest in the Second Division will advance to the First Division, to the Brasileirao (Serie A).
