Appearance: Latil has dark grey eyes, fair skin, and long black hair styled in a high ponytail. As the empress, she usually wears her finery, which consists of a white long-sleeved shirt with puffed sleeves, long white pants, a sash embroidered with gold motifs, black combat boots, epaulettes, and a sword sheathed at her side. As a princess, she wore her hair in a low ponytail and wore long dresses in shades of pink, blue, and purple, with white ruffled collars. While Hyacinth was away, she was seen wearing a long white dress and a teal coat while visiting the temple. She wears a similar outfit when she learns that Hyacinth is to marry Aini. During her trip to Karisen as the leader of the Tarium delegation, she changes her outfit to more closely resemble her current attire. Before becoming emperor, Latil seemed to be kind, caring, and more open about her feelings than her current self. She blushes when she first meets Hyacinth, and when Hyacinth gives her a ring made of grass. When Hyacinth has to leave for Karisen, she visibly cries and begs him to go with him. She breaks down in tears upon hearing that he is to marry Aini. After becoming emperor, Latil strives to cultivate an image of a strong ruler and begins to appear colder. Her first act as emperor is to mercilessly execute Thula for treason, against everyone's expectations. Even in front of Raean, she maintains her stance that it was the right thing to do. She becomes more cunning and forms the harem to divert the nobles' attention away from her. Despite this, Latil does have moments of vulnerability. She becomes visibly more uncomfortable when any of the consorts express genuine affection towards her. She continues to treat her brother Raean with warmth and trusts that he will not betray her. She also acts casually around Sir Sonnaught, much to the Chamberlain's disdain.

Ranamun's background

Ranamun has had his cold and proud demeanor ever since he was young. As he is one of the children born on the "fateful day", he was supposed to stay three months in the temples with the other children, however, he was able to leave after only a month. On top of this, he had a very comfortable childhood being the eldest son of a powerful duke.
