Louis is a thin, fair-skinned individual with dark scarlet eyes and black glasses. He stands somewhat tall at 6 feet (1.84 m). He has a burn mark on his right cheek, which he inflicted on himself at a young age. His blonde hair is medium-length and is styled with long bangs on one side. His elongated bangs are parted to the right, hiding most of his scar. He wears a dark blue tuxedo, a tie and a vest of the same color. He also carries a gold pocket watch and is occasionally seen wearing a bowler hat.

Louis' main characteristic is his deep devotion to his brother William, which has prevailed from a very young age. As the Moriarty house burned down, Louis injured himself to help with the cover-up, but it was also a sign of gratitude towards William and Albert. As an adult, Louis was the one in charge of tending and caring for the mansion, so he was less involved in William's missions and maintained a silent presence. However, at one point, he confronts William and confesses how lonely and distant he felt from his brother, wishing to participate in the group's operations.
