Black family.

The House of Black is one of the largest and oldest families of pure-blood witches and wizards in Britain, and many wizarding families are distantly related to it. The Black family tree can be found in an intricate tapestry in the sitting room of 12 Grimmauld Place in London, England, where the Blacks live. It begins in the Middle Ages and continues to the present day. Pure-blood families, such as the Blacks, simply removed Muggles and Squibs from their family trees. The Blacks place great importance on blood purity, considering themselves something akin to royalty in the wizarding world and disdaining Muggles and Muggle-borns (to the point of creating a Ministry project to make Muggle-hunting legal). The Black family motto, which can be seen on the family crest, is Toujours Pur, which means "always pure" in French. Because of their views, a large number of members of the Black family practiced the Dark Arts and supported Lord Voldemort, becoming his followers and Death Eaters.

Pure blood.

Pureblood or pureblood is the name given to wizards who have a completely magical ancestry. This means that there are no muggles, half-bloods, or muggle-born wizards in their respective family trees. Regulus attended Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry from 1972 to 1979, and was quickly sorted into Slytherin house, unlike Sirius, who went to Gryffindor. Regulus continued the Black family traditions, hating and mistreating Muggle-borns or "Mudbloods" and associating with lovers of the Dark Arts and future Death Eaters of Lord Voldemort, including Severus Snape, Lucius Malfoy (who would later marry his cousin Narcissa), Avery and Mulciber. In his second year, Regulus joined the Slytherin Quidditch team as a Seeker.

Appearance.

Regulus' features, like his mother's, are distinguished by a somewhat peculiar attractiveness, with quite defined features and pale complexion, slightly long, wavy hair of jet black.
