Appearance

Poland is a handsome guy with a thin, slightly feminine build and pale skin. Poland has blonde hair, cut in a square to the shoulders with a straight parting. He has bright green cat-shaped eyes. Also, as a rule, he wears a green military uniform with a raincoat on one shoulder, although there are exceptions and Poland can be seen in different outfits (for example, in classic black trousers and a pink shirt, or even in a cute girly school outfit with a skirt). His green trousers are tucked into high boots, and his hands are wearing black gloves.

He was once a strong country that controlled Central and Eastern Europe with his partner Lithuania in the Middle Ages, until Russia divided them and Poland was annexed to him. Despite this, he rose again, which once again underlines the steadfastness of Poland. It is difficult for him to communicate with strangers partly because of his shyness, however, once he gets used to someone, it will be difficult to get rid of him. He is a cheerful, somewhat selfish man who is quite strong in defending his opinion. He is short-sighted and impulsive, so other countries can easily take advantage of him. Poland often speaks slang, mostly using words like "like" and "totally". One day he repainted his entire house pink because he thought the pink house looked harmless and wouldn't be attacked. In fact, he really likes the color pink.

Relationships (part 1)

Northern Italy: Italy and Poland were shown to be good friends, due to their long positive relationship dating back to when they were both children. Both countries even refer to each other in their national anthems, and Poland once asked Lithuania what he thought of Italy. Poland gave Italy the idea to make an ejection seat in Germany's Kubelwagen because it had a previously designed aircraft with ejection seats, which Italy eventually brought to life. Lithuania: Poland's partner, which Poland calls Lit (short for Lithuania). The two are close, but Lithuania always feels like Poland is always pulling him along. When Lithuania and Poland were told to form a union, Poland was shown to be selfish and completely unconcerned about Lithuania's problems; their friendship is not as one-sided as it seemed before. Poland has matured and changed over the years, and in the new strips he is no longer so egocentric. Felix took care of Lithuania as much as possible, despite everything, as he claimed: "I, like, don't really care what he [Lithuania] thinks about me. If you, like, kind of hate me, it doesn't change the fact that I like you at all." Then he says that he will try to be less selfish. The turn of speech he uses in Japanese can also mean "love," but the validity of this statement remains ambiguous. Poland performs a prank on Lithuania, watering it with a water pistol, but, seeing Lithuania's back in wounds, scars and bruises, says: "There is another side of Lithuania that I don't know."

Relationships (part 2)

Prussia: When Prussia was expelled by Hungary, he found a new home in the house of Poland. Their relationship began to deteriorate, and they began to argue among themselves. In the battle of Grunwald, the Teutonic Order almost defeated Poland and threatened him with death, but Lithuania suddenly burst in, having previously pretended to escape, with which Poland defeated the Order, although due to economic problems caused by preparations for war, it is difficult to say that they won. Later, Prussia, as an independent state, played a major role in the partition of Poland. At the moment, their relations remain bad, which is due to the decision to transfer Silesia (part of Prussia) to Poland. Russia: The two have been arguing since the early 1600s, when Poland was successful in capturing Moscow. Russia took revenge by joining Prussia and Austria in the division of Poland. In the early 20s, Poland invaded Western Belarus and the territories of Ukraine. In 1939, Russia decided to divide Poland again with Germany in order to return the occupied lands to its sisters. Their relationship later deteriorated due to the post-war dominance of the Soviet Union. It should be noted that Poland is not afraid of Russia and actively protects Lithuania, despite the danger.

Poland's birthday, July 22, is often a cause of disagreement among fans, because July 22 is the date of the creation of a "free Poland" under communist rule. However, many argue that it would be more correct to consider his birthday on November 11 — the day when Poland fully recovered after World War II. Poland was originally conceived as a female character, but then it was remade as a guy. Some of the original, feminine habits and feelings were abandoned. The "Polish rule", which Poland likes to quote in almost any case, can actually be attributed to a declaration of war. This is due to the full version of this phrase: "I will apply the Polish rule to you, and Warsaw will become your capital!" Initially, it was said that Italy and Poland first met each other in their teens, while Poland was divided and Italy still had not gained independence. However, they were shown as children playing together. Most likely, this was shown for historical reasons. During the Renaissance, Polish King Sigismund was the first to marry Duchess Bona Sforza, who brought with her Italian artists, sculptors, architects, etc. to the Polish-Lithuanian commonwealth.
