Romania (Hetalia)

Appearance

Romania has a slim build and pale, almost white skin. Romania dresses in a red coat, under which you can see a white shirt with a blue tie. The coat is fastened on the right side, so the left side is occupied by a gold chain with a red gemstone attached to the clothes. You can also notice a belt with something similar to a holster, and the fact that he has an earring in his left ear. Romania has wheat-colored hair, red eyes and pale skin. On the head, you can often notice a small blue, green, red or purple bowler hat, from which there are three ribbons with different colors (blue, yellow, red). These are the colors of his flag. His shirt also has large sleeves, painted across with alternating red and white lines. He wears black leather gloves.

Personality + interests

Romania is a funny guy, although at first glance it may seem that he is strange and mysterious. He sincerely believes in black magic and loves folk art, which is connected with the history of the country, to which vampires and other demons are tied. His fascination with the fairy tale of Princess Ilana Kosynzyan, kidnapped by a Snake and rescued by a kind fellow Fat-Frumos reveals his romantic side. If you ask Romania about Dracula, he will dispel all stereotypes and tell the truth. Romania does not always know that some parts of his story can shock the listener. This especially scared Bulgaria, who had heard enough stories about Vlad Tepes from Romania. It seems that he uses his magic most successfully, compared to Norway and England.  His appearance resembles a buffoon, although in fact he is hardworking. He is almost as passionate about Roman culture as Germany. Perhaps this is because he is desperately trying to prove his origin from Rome, but without success.

Hungary: They obviously don't have the best relationship. They are more like a cat and dog relationship. In this case, the dog is Hungary (with his frying pan). Hungary is angry at Romania to the point that it names its dogs after famous Romanians. This enmity is confirmed by the fact that in the issue of "Christmas 2011", if they looked at each other, it was certainly not friendly. The conflict between Hungary and Romania is based on a historical fact — the territory that previously belonged to Elizabeth was appropriated by Romania at a time when the Ottoman Empire was at war with Hungary. Bulgaria: Bulgaria and Romania became friends during the Iron Curtain, which was staged by Russia. At first, he thought Romania was bad and was scared of his scary stories. However, after he talked to him, Bulgaria realized that Romania was normal. Later, they joined the European Union together. During Halloween 2011 and Christmas 2011, they were shown talking to each other. He admits that he cannot and will never understand Romania's taste in choosing attractive girls. Generally speaking, Romania and Bulgaria are best friends who often drink together. England: At school, England and Romania are members of the Hellfire Dark Magic Club together. Moldova: Moldova is Romania's younger brother, who enjoys hanging out with him. Romania, in turn, loves and cares for her brother immensely. During the events of Christmas 2011, Romania asks Germany to send greetings to Moldova from him. He hopes to have fun together and asks Moldova to move in with him, but Moldova rejects the offer, preferring Russia, which makes Romania unhappy. Like Romania, Moldova sometimes gets the feeling that it is a loser.

Romania can be called a real vampire because of its red eyes, pale skin and distinctive fangs. It's all connected to his story, and the whole focus is on vampires. He is a very caring friend and brother. You can always rely on him, and in any situation he is ready to support his friend, no matter what. However, his dark side still remains with him.
