Tsuyu is a short girl with a relatively slender build, compared to her classmates, who has especially large hands. Her appearance is rather frog-like; she has a very wide mouth, which dips slightly in the middle like that of a common frog, and oval eyes with large black irises, her lower eyelashes visibly pronounced, and she also displays some frog-like mannerisms, such as hopping on all fours instead of running, and holding herself in a manner that is somewhat connotative of a frog. Her hair is a dark sea-green color, and is very long, reaching down to her waist, with the ends tied together at the bottom in a bun. She has two shoulder-length bangs framing her face, and shorter bangs between her eyes, some of them partially swept to either side. Her Hero Costume consists of a bright green turtleneck bodysuit, tan gloves with large buckles on each wrist guard, and two matching belts, one over her breasts, a strap on each side that goes around her shoulders, and one around her waist with green dots embedded all around. Two black lines run throughout her bodysuit, each framed in yellow, and she wears tight black boots with "V" shaped markings on her thighs, green webbed fins resembling frogs' toes on her feet. She wears a headband, its color matching that of her gloves, and glasses with dark green tinted lenses on each side.

Tsuyu is a straightforward and laid-back person who always speaks straight from her mind and what she thinks about others. Tsuyu prefers to be called "Tsu", but only by people she sees as friends. She commonly refers to everyone with the honorific "-chan", with the exception of teachers and other authority figures. Tsuyu's parents were always busy at work, requiring her to be a caretaker for her two younger siblings at a young age. Under those circumstances, Tsuyu grew into a very mature and responsible person who could divide her attention between school and household chores without letting one interfere with the other. This also means that Tsuyu knows how to lead and care for people by keeping them safe and at ease if they don't feel that way. Tsuyu is remarkably calm and collected, being able to stay level-headed and focused even during the most stressful of situations. Tsuyu is an honor student since high school, has great judgment, can communicate her intentions easily, and is rarely moved by emotion, making her an incredibly reliable ally who is able to cover for a fellow student's weaknesses. She has strong morals and principles and is willing to stand up to her friends in order to defend them from decisions she deems unwise. When several members of Class 1-A agreed to rescue Katsuki Bakugo after the Vanguard Action Squad Invasion, Tsuyu was the most outspoken against it, stating that acting on their emotions and breaking the law to rescue him essentially made them the same as villains. For those reasons, Recovery Girl describes her as a "perfect pillar of emotional support." However, even Tsuyu has limits when it comes to keeping herself composed, having broken down in despair or heartbreak several times. Her words can also come off as unintentionally harsh thanks to her blunt honesty.

Her usual expression consists of a blank stare, making it difficult for those around her to read her thoughts and emotions, while scaring them in the process. Tsuyu has a habit of pressing her finger against her mouth while talking, reflecting, or showing curiosity. She tends to say "kero", emulating a frog's croak at the end of her sentences or as a replacement for many of her one-word responses.

Overall Abilities: Tsuyu has proven to be highly capable, using the frog-based abilities granted by her Quirk, Tsuyu excels in both close- and long-range combat. She employs a fighting style that involves a great deal of agility and powerful leaps to evade, surprise, and confuse her opponents, as well as using her enhanced leg strength to deliver powerful kicks. Additionally, Tsuyu excels in aquatic environments; her frog-like anatomy allows her to move freely through water without losing strength or agility. Tsuyu can also use her elongated, whip-like tongue to carry people or knock down her opponents. Her overall abilities make her one of the physically strongest students in her class. Tsuyu also possesses great camaraderie and teamwork, effectively combining her Quirk's own abilities with those of anyone she is paired with. Tsuyu is a very outstanding student with little to no weaknesses and can provide support to anyone, even some of the strongest students in her class such as Fumikage Tokoyami, Izuku Midoriya, or Shoto Todoroki. Tsuyu's abilities caught the attention of Nejire Hado, the third strongest student in AU and the Big Three, who recommended both Tsuyu and Ochaco to intern at her side under the tutelage of Ryukyu, the No. 10 Heroine (formerly No. 9). Even with their stamina depleted, Tsuyu along with Ochaco and Nejire were able to effectively assist Ryukyu against Rikiya Katsukame, one of the Shie Hassaikai. During the Team Sparring Battle, Tsuyu dodged Hiryu Rin's rapid Scale Shoots and used her incredible leg strength to punch through his scale armor and later launch him towards Jurota Shishida (who was being subdued by Hitoshi Shinso) and securing victory for her team.

Enhanced Stamina: Through intense training, Tsuyu gained great physical stamina. After much of her vitality was stolen by a Trigger-enhanced Rikiya, Tsuyu was still able to stand and fight the Yakuza member for 20 minutes until the Trigger wore off and the Ryukyu Squad defeated him. Keen Intellect: Tsuyu has shown to be very intelligent and analytical. Aside from noticing the Quirk similarities between Izuku and All Might, when Class 1-A was divided into different areas during the USJ Incident, she effectively surmised that the League of Villains was unaware of her and her classmates' Quirks and were carrying out a plan to kill All Might. In their Final Exam, Tsuyu and Fumikage were on the verge of failing against Ectoplasm, but Tsuyu had Fumikage use his Dark Shadow to catch Ectoplasm off guard and put one of his handcuffs on his right. In Team Training, Tsuyu took advantage of Jurota Shishida's enhanced sense of smell and covered her remaining teammates, Denki Kaminari and Hitoshi Shinso, in toxin so that their scents matched her own, rendering the trio indiscernible to Jurota. don: frog Tsuyu's Quirk grants her the various abilities and characteristics of a frog, such as being able to incorporate a great jumping ability, she can cling to walls, she has a powerful extending tongue, camouflage, and she can swim quickly. The establishment of the Heights Alliance was planned by U.A. Academy for a considerable time. Following the attack on the U.A. students in the forest by the Vanguard Action Squad and the retirement of All Might after his battle against All For One, Nezu turned U.A. into a boarding school to protect the students. The Heights Alliance was built in just three days. It is meant to protect the students and allows the teachers to keep a close watch on them.[1] Heights Alliance dormitories are located on the main UA campus in Musutafu, Japan. There are dorm buildings for all UA classes and each one is just a five-minute walk from the main building. The Heights Alliance dormitories are large buildings with five floors separated into two wings. Each building has its respective class name posted above a sign that reads "Alliance". Each building is surrounded by bushes that leave an open path to the entrance. The entrance is made up of two sets of double doors. Along the path are two park benches and two towers with lights. The first level of the building is white, while the upper levels are brown on the outside.[2] Each building is designed to house a class of twenty students. Males are assigned to the left wing and females are assigned to the right wing. The first floor is a common area with couches, tables, television, kitchens, bathrooms, and laundry rooms. There is a patio off the first level as well.

The rooms start on the second floor and end on the fifth floor. There are four rooms per gender on each floor with five floors in total. Each student has their own room equipped with an air conditioner, toilet, bed, refrigerator, closets, and balcony. Ochaco, who comes from a low-income family, compares the size of a building to a mansion. While Momo, who comes from a wealthy family, says the dormitories are similar to the size of the closets in her house.
