Personality 1

Tsuyu is a straightforward and laid-back person who always speaks directly from her mind and what she thinks of others. Tsuyu prefers to be called "Tsu", but only by people she sees as friends. She commonly refers to everyone with the honorific "-chan", with the exception of teachers and other authority figures. Tsuyu's parents were always busy at work, requiring her to be a caregiver for her two younger siblings at a young age. Under those circumstances, Tsuyu grew into a very mature and responsible person who could divide her attention between school and household chores without letting one interfere with the other. This also means that Tsuyu knows how to lead and care for people by keeping them safe and at ease if they don't feel that way. Tsuyu is remarkably calm and collected, being able to remain level-headed and focused even during the most stressful of situations. Tsuyu is an honor student since middle school, has great judgment, can communicate her intentions easily, and is rarely moved by emotion, making her an incredibly reliable ally who is able to cover for a partner's weaknesses.

Personality 2

She has strong morals and principles and is willing to stand up to her friends in order to defend them from decisions she deems unwise. When several members of Class 1-A agreed to rescue Katsuki Bakugo after the Vanguard Action Squad Invasion, Tsuyu was the most outspoken against it, stating that acting on their emotions and breaking the law to rescue him made them essentially the same as villains. For those reasons, Recovery Girl describes her as a "perfect pillar of emotional support." However, even Tsuyu has limits when it comes to keeping herself composed, having collapsed into despair or heartbreak several times. Her words can also come across as unintentionally harsh thanks to her blunt honesty, causing her to feel guilty and regretful when speaking out against her friends. Her usual expression consists of a blank stare, making it difficult for those around her to read her thoughts and emotions, while also scaring them in the process. Tsuyu has a habit of pressing her finger against her mouth while talking, pondering, or showing curiosity. She tends to say "kero", emulating the croaking of a frog at the end of her sentences or as a replacement for many of her one-word answers.

Appearance 1

Tsuyu is a short girl with a relatively slender build, compared to her classmates, who has especially large hands. Her appearance is rather frog-like; she has a very wide mouth, which dips slightly in the middle like that of a common frog, and oval eyes with large black irises, her lower eyelashes visibly pronounced, and she also displays some frog-like mannerisms, such as hopping on all fours instead of running, and holding herself in a manner that is somewhat connotative of a frog. Her hair is a dark sea-green color, and is very long, reaching down to her waist, with the ends tied together at the bottom in a bun. She has two shoulder-length bangs framing her face, and shorter bangs between her eyes, some of them partially swept to either side. Her Hero Costume consists of a bright green turtleneck bodysuit, tan gloves with large buckles on each wrist guard, and two matching belts, one over her breasts, a strap on each side that goes around her shoulders, and one around her waist with green dots embedded all around. Tsuyu's skills caught the attention of Nejire Hado, the third strongest student in AU and the Big Three, who recommended both Tsuyu and Ochaco to intern at her side under the tutelage of Ryukyu, the No. 10 Heroine (formerly No. 9). Even with their stamina depleted, Tsuyu along with Ochaco and Nejire were able to effectively assist Ryukyu against Rikiya Katsukame, one of the Shie Hassaikai.
