Dr. Gregory House

Gregory House is a brilliant doctor, famous for solving medical cases that others consider complicated and sometimes described as a curmudgeon, given his peculiar way of relating to others. Due to his unpleasant way of being, Gregory House is a character who usually tends to walk alone, reflecting and doing his thing, which ends up worsening his fragile situation that is already complicated due to the abuse of Vicodin and the chronic pain in his leg. Abuses, with respect to colleagues, medicine and the law are also some problems that have surrounded him over time. Behind his cynical and curmudgeon facet, there is a very intelligent and unorthodox man who never fails to impress with the way he manages to find the diagnoses of patients in cases that others have not been able to solve. His workplace is Princeton-Plainsboro Hospital where he heads the diagnostics department and leads a team made up of various doctors who in different ways help him do his job or rather, do it for him. He has a double degree in nephrology and infectious disease, and is a resident in pathology. All of this makes him a well-trained doctor, which, along with his talent for finding complicated diagnoses, is why he is highly sought after. At one point in his past he suffered a heart attack in his leg which later led to him keeping it but with very unpleasant pain that forces him to take painkillers to calm it. His constant pain soon leads to him developing an addiction to Vicodin. His immediate superior and the head of the hospital where he works is Lisa Cuddy, whom he constantly tries to outwit in order to do things his way. Cuddy often has to go through hard times trying to control him from doing strange or out-of-control things. Behind it all, however, she finds herself somewhat attracted to him.

During his childhood and adolescence he was in many countries since his father was in active service and he had to live with him in the city where he stayed. One of his trips was to Egypt, which served to acquire his interest in alchemy. He also visited other countries such as Japan and the Philippines, among others, which helped him acquire knowledge in several languages ​​such as Spanish and Mandarin. House was always an intelligent child, and he also had a very loving mother, so one could say that he was very blessed. Many interests were cultivated during his early years such as chemistry, piano and guitar, demonstrating great skill with the latter. However, House was isolated from people and had a poor relationship with his parents, which helped him become lonely. As a result of rebellion, his father constantly punished him and he was greatly affected physically and emotionally. House was unable to have the relationship they had before. His father was quite cold with him and had serious problems understanding him. House came to hate him. House suffered a quadriceps muscle infarction in his right leg, which was not properly diagnosed in the early days of his performance due to House's history of drug use, which was known to all his colleagues. In the end, House diagnosed himself: an aneurysm in his thigh had clotted, leading to a stroke and causing the muscle to become immobile. After receiving surgery that he did not authorize, which was halfway between amputation and bypass surgery, removing the dead muscle, House lost partial use of his leg and the pain became chronic, requiring him to walk with a cane and precipitating his ultimate addiction: Vicodin.

Gregory House is a tall man, around 1.89m tall, with blue eyes, short gray hair, fair skin, he doesn't usually shave much of his beard, he usually dresses casually and usually has a serious or tired expression.
