Appearance (Gyutaro)

As a demon, Gyutaro is a relatively tall man with a lean build to him, covered in pale grayish skin speckled with black. His anatomy was somewhat odd, as his upper torso, arms, and legs were extremely muscular, where his waist was incredibly thin, his pelvis jutting out at an unnatural angle. He possessed thin, green-and-red eyes, his sclera glowing orange, which were slanted drastically downward at the sides, the kanji for "Upper Class" and "Six" carved into them. He had unruly black hair that cuts sharply to a brighter green around the crown of his head, worn messily with uneven bangs and several ahoges. His body and face have noticeable ink markings in the form of black spots on his body and a pattern of flowing water on his face. Gyutaro was described as very ugly. Gyutaro wore no shirt, only a pair of loose blue pants and seven pieces of red cloth to decorate his body, a large one around his neck and three smaller ones around each arm.

Personality (Gyutaro)

Due to his disturbing childhood and traumatic experience, Gyutaro displays a disturbing and distorted view of the world and is cruel, jealous, and petty towards those who live a better life than him. Even so, Gyutaro shares a genuine love and familial feeling towards his younger sister, Daki, a feeling that can be understood by Tanjiro himself, although his distorted view of the world and overprotective attitude have turned Daki into a spoiled and childish sociopath. However, his love for her will not stop him from scolding her out of frustration when she acts childish or indecisive. Due to the hardships he faced as a human, Gyutaro developed a twisted personal belief that taking from those who have a better life than him as a human is justified, and it soon became his oath when he and his sister were transformed by Doma. He expressed that he has absolutely no regrets about becoming a devil and vowed to become a devil again and again if he is reincarnated in the human world. He is also shown to be arrogant and sarcastic towards his enemies, shown in his sarcasm towards Tanjiro and Tengen. However, in his final moments, Gyutaro was inspired by Tanjiro's encouragement and remembered his long-abandoned humanity, which later became a factor in him going to Hell with Daki/Ume hand in hand to face their afterlife together once more.

History (Gyutaro)

Gyutaro was born into poverty within the lower class of the Entertainment District. His mother often beat and tried to kill him even before he was born due to an alleged abortion attempt, as she could not afford to feed him, but her efforts proved to be in vain when she died of syphilis. Throughout his childhood, he was scolded for his appearance, voice, and lack of hygiene by the other residents of the district. When his sister, Ume, was born, he gained a sense of pride and acted as her "collector" within the district. He noted that Ume had an incredibly beautiful face, where even if she smiled, she would receive things, but he said that his sister had a very honest personality, and would be easily convinced otherwise. When he turned 13, he returned home from work to discover his sister tied up and burned to near death and left for dead in a ditch because she poked a samurai's eye with a hairpin due to him making fun of Gyutaro. He jumped into the ditch and began to panic, tearfully demanding that his sister return to normal while cradling her body. As he hugs his dying sister, the same samurai whose eye was gouged out, sneaks up behind Gyutaro and slashes his back in an attempt to kill him. He then overheard the samurai talking to the brothel manager who turned out to be the one who asked him to kill Gyutaro. However, before the samurai was able to finish him off, he managed to jump out of the ditch and kill both the manager and the samurai with his scythe. Despite being injured, Gyutaro carried his sister Ume's dying body all over the Hanamachi district in search of help, but was eventually struck by the harsh and cruel truth that there was simply no one who would help them no matter where he went. He eventually succumbed to exhaustion, both he and Ume being on the verge of death. Before the end, they were found by the then Upper Moon Six Doma, who saved them.

Appearance (Daki)

Daki is a vain, cruel, hateful, and arrogant person who enjoys toying with her victims, and she appears to be very insufferable to failure, much like her master Muzan Kibutsuji, as she even fought with her brother in his final moments after being killed, shouting that someone so heinous does not deserve to be her brother. She also possesses a childish streak, due to having transformed when she was only thirteen, tending to throw tantrums at anything that does not go along with her own intentions. Deep down, however, Daki cares deeply for her brother and is grateful for his protective attitude, even after his tragedy and subsequent transformation. After his death, Daki reconciled with Gyutaro in the afterlife, likely as a result of being inspired by Tanjiro's exhortation and remembering her past experience. As a human, Daki was originally a kind and honest girl, but could be convinced very easily. His siblings' experiences, as well as their cynical outlook on the world, became a vital point of influence in shaping his personality. His personality and life both mirror and contrast with that of Tanjiro and Nezuko.

Daki was born many years ago with the birth name "Ume" in the Rashomongasi (lowest caste) area of ​​the Entertainment District, where only sick prostitutes, geishas, ​​and oirans who could no longer work in the brothels were sent and left to die. His biological mother was a prostitute there, having given birth to his older brother a few years earlier. His biological father is never mentioned, but he was likely one of his mother's clients. His brother noted that their mother was mentally unstable (likely due to the extremely harsh and poor living conditions in the district), having tried to kill herself and her son several times as well. She also physically abused him because she had no money to keep him fed, forcing him to fend for himself. When Ume was born, her mother hated her because of her hair and eye color and would try to kill her. One day, her mother tried to cut Ume's hair with a razor, but Gyutaro became enraged and went on a rampage. This led the mother to distance herself from them. Ume was raised primarily by her older brother until her early teens, Gyutaro noted that even as a child, Ume had an incredibly beautiful face that even adult men and women hesitated to look at. She was so beautiful that if she smiled she would win things; leading to the surname Shiraume. This gave him hope that the two could escape poverty and lead a better life by being scouted and eventually recruited to work in one of the most prestigious brothels in the district. But one day she was burned, and Gyutaro saved her.

History (Daki Oni)

Many years after becoming an oni, Daki had already gained a reputation for her cruelty, such that senile elders remembered her bad temper and demanded that "hime" (meaning "princess") be added to her name. Her and her brother's activities eventually caught the attention of Muzan Kibutsuji, who recognized their strength and power and officially allowed them to join the Twelve Kizuki and they were both given the rank of Upper Moon Six. At some point, Daki fought, killed, and ate seven Hashira.

This is shown when she punched a hole in the roof and managed to lift an elderly woman with her bare hands. Flesh Manipulation: Daki's main Blood Demon Art is to freely manipulate her flesh into various structures, most notably a strip of cloth, which complements her beauty and appearance. She can even transform and change her flesh to have the properties of a strip of cloth, as seen when she transformed her neck into a long strip of cloth to avoid being decapitated by Tanjiro.
