summary
Han Seoul-Oh is a street racer, thief, and Takashi's business partner. Han started out as a member of Dominic Toretto's team. Following the death of his lover Gisele Yashar in Spain, he left the United States to live in Tokyo, Japan where he was recruited by Gisele's former associate, Mr. Nobody, to recover a dangerous superweapon-like device. While recovering the device, he saved the life of a girl who was the daughter of the creators and subsequently faked his death, using Deckard Shaw's attack as cover before going into hiding, but eventually resurfacing, seven years later.
History
[Early life] Han Seoul-Oh was born and raised in the United States. According to his conversation with Cara Mirtha, he lived most of his life, well into adulthood, in the United States and had never been east of the Atlantic. At one point, Han used to smoke but quit. However, out of habit and to keep his hands busy, he was always eating something. [Meeting Dominic] At some point, Han traveled to Baja, Mexico. Where Dominic Toretto also lived after fleeing Los Angeles following a botched robbery. Han knew of Dominic Toretto's reputation in the racing scene before, but never officially met Dominic until he visited Mexico. From there, they established a relationship and Han began "racing" with Dominic for unspecified reasons. At some point, Han owned a 1970 Pymouth Road Runner while in the company of Dominic. The car was won from Han by Dominic in a race. [Bandits] Main article: The Bandits Han arrives in the Dominican Republic as Dominic prepares for a new job involving gas transportation. He is picked up at the airport by the likes of Cara Mirtha and Malo, friends of Dominic. He is then taken to Rico Santos' house, where Dominic lives, and has dinner with the rest of the Santos family. He takes an immediate liking to Cara, who shares a mutual attraction for him. Later, he follows Dominic and Santos to the prison where Tego Leo was held before Santos helped him escape. When Dominic takes the opportunity to take them to a secluded club to meet the man responsible for transporting his score, Dominic tells him to either go around the block or wait in the car. Han instead decides to go into the club where he mingles with Cara and Malo at the bar.
History
Cara and Malo assume Han is either Chinese or Japanese based on his physical appearance. However, Han is quick to clarify that he was born and raised in the United States and has never been east of the Atlantic. When Cara asked him how he met Dominic, Han briefly explained how they met in Mexico. Malo, realizing the two were attracted to each other, asked if they wanted a room. Instead, Cara gives him his drink and she and Han leave the bar, presumably to dance or have sex. [Fast & Furious] When Dominic and his crew move in to steal a series of fuel tanks from a truck, Han and Cara, driving a 1967 Chevrolet C-Series pickup, are one of the first to hook their vehicles to a tanker and flee with the help of Letty Ortiz, who severs the connection between the tanker and the main truck with a form of liquid nitrogen. After Santos and Leo remove the tank and Letty is rescued from the out-of-control truck after the driver abandons it, Han and Cara receive their share of the profits. When he gets a chance to talk to Dominic, Han informs him that the police raided his garage in Baracoa and were looking for Dominic. Realizing that his oil theft will undoubtedly cause the authorities to come to the Dominican Republic, Dominic disbands the crew and tells Han to "do his thing." Optimistic, Han mentions that they are doing "crazy stuff" in Tokyo, suggesting that he would go there next.
History
[Fast Five] When Dominic, his sister Mia Toretto, and former FBI agent Brian O'Conner decide to rob Hernan Reyes's stash of cash, they recruit their former partners to form a new team. Han comes across as "a chameleon who can blend in anywhere." [Meeting Gisele] While planning the heist, he builds a romantic relationship with his teammate Gisele Yashar. Han comments that he thinks he has fallen in love after watching Gisele drift and take sharp turns. When Dominic asks Han to get Reyes' handprint, Gisele volunteers to accompany him, causing Dominic to smile. While observing Reyes on the beach, Gisele attributes Han's constant snacking to needing to occupy his hands due to him being an ex-smoker, adding that he most likely smoked packs a day. Han, however, notes that the way she holds a gun reveals to him that she is ex-Mossad. As Dominic set his plans in motion, Han and Gisele pose as a police officer and a sanitation worker respectively. Gisele drives the garbage truck used to store the real vault that holds all of Reyes' money, while the forgery is used to distract the police and DSS agent, Luke Hobbs and officer, Elena Neves. As a result, Han and Gisele are able to get away with it and return him to the safe house. With their share of the money, the two officially become a couple and part ways with the team. Driving around in a Lexus LFA, Han and Gisele travel together through Europe. When contemplating where to go next, Gisele mentions Tokyo as a possibility. Han agrees and thinks they'll make it to Tokyo "someday."
History
[Fast and Furious 6] Following the discovery that Letty Ortiz has survived the assassination attempt by Fenix Calderon and that she is a member of a military precision heist team led by Owen Shaw, Dominic calls the team in to help him get her back, in exchange for pardons. Han and Gisele are living in Hong Kong, when Han suggests that they should settle down and start a future together. Gisele, however, believed that they were doing just that by being together, and seemed to miss the subtext of his words. When it becomes apparent that they are surrounded by local authorities, the two stand back to back, ready to fight the police. However, a detective arrives with a cell phone and tosses it to Han. When Han answers, Dominic is at the end. [Meeting with Owen Shaw's crew] When they arrive in London, they are given the details of their situation by Owen Shaw and Letty Ortiz. During their first meeting with Shaw's team, Han, Brian, and Gisele are targeted by sniper Adolfson, who fires on their cars once they reach Interpol. Brian, Han, and Gisele are pinned down long enough for Vegh, Jah, and Klaus to escape. Brian follows them, but Gisele runs out into the open to fire on Jan and Klaus' getaway car. At the last second, Han is able to push her out of the way, and the two take cover behind a fire hydrant as Adolfson shoots them multiple times before escaping.
History
During the team's attempt to stop Owen and his team from hijacking the military convoy, Han and Gisele pursue Denlinger on their motorcycles, a Harley Davidson model and Ducati Monster. Gisele is the first to reach Dillinger, hanging onto the side of his Land Rover and nearly being crushed against the side of the oncoming truck, but Han jumps into the Land Rover in time to swerve the vehicle out of the way and save her life. When Shaw takes Mia Toretto prisoner, Dominic and the others are forced to let Shaw and Riley Hicks go to ensure her safety. However, as soon as they are allowed, they go after the plane Shaw plans to take off with Mia. Gisele and Han are one of two teams designated with the task of keeping the plan on the ground using the harpoon guns. During their efforts, Adolfson knocks Gisele out of her car. Han follows her, climbing onto the top of her car. Although Gisele is able to fend him off, she falls out of Adolfson's car. Han is able to make the save at the last moment. Gisele, realizing Adolfson plans to kill Han, lets go of Han's arms and lets herself fall, Han being unable to save her. Before she is killed by the fall, she shoots Adolfson, knocking him off balance. A devastated Han attacks Adolfson and throws him out of the car and into the plane's turbine. After the plane crashes and Dominic survives the car crash in the attempt to escape the burning plane, Mia is the only one who reaches out to Han and attempts to comfort him when she realizes what happened to Gisele. With their records wiped clean by the pardons provided by Hobbs, Han and the others return to Los Angeles. While speaking with Roman Pearce and Tej Parker, Han finally decided to go to Tokyo.
History

Han also keeps himself busy with several women, with a club next to his garage. In addition , becomes involved with Tokyo's elite street racers and one of its most prominent drifters. At some point, he acquired a 2001 Nissan Silvia S15 Spec-S and rebuilt and restored it from the ground up, Twinkie later referred to the car as the Mona Lisa from the drifting world.Han also affiliated himself with Takashi, Kamata's nephew, a member of the Yakuza, making profits from various business ventures. Unbeknownst to Kamata or Takashi, Han begins stealing money from their operation and does so without either of them realizing it for some time. [Recruited by Mr. Nobody] As Han settled into his new life in Tokyo, he was approached by Mr. Nobody, a former associate of Gisele. They reminisced about their times with Gisele before Mr. Nobody offered Han a job to work with him in Tokyo. . Han was instructed to retrieve a device called Project Aries from the home of a couple of scientists. While carrying out the mission, the couple was killed by agents sent by Jakob Toretto and Han barely saved their daughter, Elle, from being killed. With the device recovered and Elle being revealed as the key to unlocking it, Mr. Nobody instructed Han to take Elle to his car to keep her safe from Jakob's agents pursuing her, at this point he was unaware that Jakob had had become rebellious.
History
[Meeting Sean] When Han meets Sean Boswell, Boswell crossed Takashi's unspoken boundaries by talking to his girlfriend, Neela. Han questions why Takashi is still bothering "high school girls" when Takashi decides to take on Sean. When Sean accepts Takashi's challenge to drift, Han gives Sean the keys to his Nissan Silvia, curious to see what Sean is made of. While Sean loses the race, destroying his car in the process, Han is intrigued by what he saw in Sean for simply challenging Takashi. The next day, Han meets Sean outside his school and demands that he get into his car. Han makes sure to tell Sean that he is indebted to him and would be his personal "errand boy" because of the car he owes him. Sean is willing to agree to the terms as long as Han teaches him how to drive. When Sean falls out of favor with his father, Lt. Boswell, Sean comes to live in Han's garage. While there, he works on the cars available to him in the garage and Han teaches him how to properly drift. As Sean improves, Han's situation becomes more complicated when Takashi becomes more forceful in threatening Sean to stay away from Neela. Eventually, Takashi confronts Han about the money he has been stealing from his uncle. Han does not attempt to defend his actions to Takashi. He simply stated that "side deals" under the protection of Takashi's word were in the nature of his business. He goes on to say that Takashi needed him and that he would have been worthless if it weren't for his help. When Takashi is distracted by Neela's presence, Han takes a risk and gets into his car and escapes.
History
Takashi and his friend, Morimoto chase him through the streets of Tokyo, but are unable to catch him. He shields Sean and Neela from Takashi, allowing them to get ahead of him. When Han finally reaches the highway intersection, Han's car is impaled by a Mercedes S-Class. Han's car flips upside down. Han, unable to escape the car, is presumed dead in the explosion. Sometime after Han's "death", Sean Boswell meets Dominic Toretto after he requests an audience with him at the Car Park. Dominic races Sean with the 1970 Plymouth Road Runner that he beat Han to victory in years before. [Furious 7] Following the conclusion of his fight with Owen Shaw, which leaves the mercenary crippled, but alive, his older brother, Deckard Shaw, decides to avenge his brother. Traveling to the United States, Deckard infiltrates the Diplomatic Security Offices in Los Angeles and hacks into Luke Hobbs' computer to gain information on the team responsible for harming his brother. He locates Han in Tokyo. While in Tokyo, he sends a bomb disguised as a package to Dominic's home in Los Angeles, presumably bearing Han's name. Focusing on Han, Deckard vandalizes his car, causing the car to flip over and ignite. Abandoning Dominic's cross for the burning car, he contacts Dominic and informs him that he is coming to get the rest of them just as Han's car explodes, appearing to have killed him. In Los Angeles, when Dominic receives the message, he sets off the bomb that destroys Toretto's home. Dominic travels to Tokyo and meets Sean Boswell. Sean gives him what survived Han's car crash: a photo of Gisele and the cross Dominic used to marry Letty Ortiz. With an oath to avenge Han, Dominic returns to Los Angeles with Han's remains. After his return, they hold a funeral for Han, with friends and presumably Han's family in attendance.
History
[F9] With Han now presumed dead, he continued to live the next five years in Tokyo in a small apartment. He kept a Mexican flag on the window, referring to Mexico being his border and taught Elle how to fight and how to protect herself as she would always be a target. Their life in hiding remained quiet until 2019 when Mr. Nobody pulled a disappearing act, possibly resulting in death, following a plane crash in Montequinto. Dom realized that Han was connected to Mr. Nobody after they discovered files of him on Mr. Nobody's main drive and Letty and Mia went to Tokyo to find information on him. Mia and Letty discovered Han's apartment by the Mexican flag on the window and as they entered the apartment, they were greeted by Elle who warned them to lay low as the rogue agents prepared to attack. The apartment was infiltrated by rogue agents, sent by Jakob who had discovered Han's location through Mr. Nobody's master disk, and the three women fought off the agents. When Letty threw herself out of a window to save Elle, more agents approached her and Han shot her from afar with a sniper rifle. He then revealed himself to them and they were shocked to discover that he was still alive. Han returned with Letty and Mia to their hideout in the Caspian Sea and rejoined the crew. After settling in, he revealed to the crew that he faked his death and where he had been ever since. After telling his story, the bunker was infiltrated by Otto and numerous agents who freed Jakob and stole the second half of Project Aries. They also kidnap Elle when they discover that she was the key to activating the device.
History
While Jakob and Otto were transporting Elle through Tbilisi while waiting for Project Aries to activate, Han and Mia Han and Mia intercepted their armored car to rescue her. They successfully boarded and fought off the two guards and took control of the car, saving Elle. After Otto is killed and Jakob goes into hiding, Han and Elle return to Los Angeles with the rest of the team. Han reunited with Sean, Twinkie, and Earl for the first time in five years at a barbecue where Brian arrives in his Skyline to join them. [Fast X] Han was sent to Rome along with Roman, Tej, and Ramsey to retrieve a chip belonging to a supercomputer, unaware that it was a trap set by Dante Reyes to frame the family as terrorists. In Rome, Roman and Han drove a Lamborghini and an Alfa Romeo respectively to infiltrate the convoy. They soon discovered it was a trap when Dante remotely hijacked the truck and multiple explosions occurred. The truck was then revealed to contain a large bomb ball that Dante planned to use to frame the family as terrorists. The attack was intercepted by Dom and Letty, who realized Dante's trap thanks to Cipher, and Dom was able to mitigate the effects of the explosion by pushing the bomb into the water. As a result of the attack, the entire family was framed as terrorists, forcing Tej, Roman, Han, and Ramsey to go underground and hide to avoid being captured by the police. Roman arranged transport for them in the form of a shipping container carrying aftershave lotion and used it to get them to London.
History
After Dante emptied their bank accounts and Ramsey's former partner Bowie betrayed them, Han decided to visit Deckard to seek his help. Since Deckard had not contacted Han after his assassination attempt, he believed that Han was coming for revenge and proceeded to fight him. Han then revealed that he did not want to fight Shaw and that he needed his help. The group was then ambushed by members of The Agency who were sent after them by Aimes, and the group worked together with Shaw to take them down. While Shaw provides them with armor, Ramsey discovers that they are being tracked and so are their allies, including Han's daughter Elle and the crew's allies: Sean, Rico, Tego. Shaw sees that his mother Magdalena is a target, packing a bag of weapons and heading off to find her. As Aimes joins forces with Dom, unknown to Dom that this was another trap as Aimes was working for Dante, Aimes arranged for airlift for the team to the crew's secret meeting location in Portugal. As they approached the landing strip, Aimes shot down the plane the group was in, revealing that he was working for Dante. The plane went down and seemingly crashed, leaving the fate of those inside, including Han, unknown.
Personality
Han largely operates as a silent observer when not proactively engaging with his chosen crew circle. He can deduce the habits and behaviors of others around him by observing their reactions or behavior from the outside. In one instance, Han observes that the way Gisele holds a gun reveals to him that she is an ex-Mossad. Han himself is prone to forming habits, as noted by Gisele, who attributes Han's constant snacking as a need to occupy his hands as a former chain-smoker. Although he was nomadic in nature, Han desired a stable home and family. When he was involved with Gisele, he suggested several times that they settle down and start a life together in Tokyo. Following her death, Han traveled to Tokyo and formed several bonds with young people who engaged in illegal street racing and garage drifting. Although he maintains strong relationships with his established crew, he takes a liking to Sean Boswell, an American expatriate who dared to stand up to his boss's son. He recognizes his own reckless behavior in Sean's bravado and teaches him how to drift and navigate Tokyo. While loyal, Han is not above stealing out of necessity or pleasure. The latter puts him in the Yakuza's bad favor and indirectly results in his "death."
