History

In the past, Tangerine and her brother Lemon completed a job in Bolivia and killed an entire camp of guerrillas. Unbeknownst to them, the guerrillas were men of the White Death, causing him to travel to Bolivia and leave his wife's side. After the wife is killed in an assassination attempt, the White Death hires Lemon and Tangerine for a mission on a bullet train in the hopes that they will be killed by other assassins he hired. Lemon and Tangerine are first seen aboard the bullet train in a compartment with the White Death's son. They banter for a while until they receive a call from one of the White Death's thugs telling them to make sure the briefcase is still in his possession. Lemon tells Tangerine that he hid the briefcase safely, but upon checking the place where it should be, they realize it has been stolen. When they return to their seats, the White Death's son has been poisoned and killed by an assassin named The Hornet. Shortly afterward they arrive at a train station, where thugs sent by the White Death are waiting for them. Tangerine tells them that everything is under control outside, as Lemon tampers with the son's corpse inside the train. The thugs believe them, and Tangerine heads back inside. After that, the pair come up with a plan to get the briefcase back from the thief. Tangerine finds another assassin named Ladybug on the train. She realizes that Ladybug stole the briefcase and chases him around the train. However, the chase ends when Ladybug pays another passenger to wear her hat and glasses and uses firecrackers in a train car to distract Tangerine. Upon returning to her original seat, Tangerine finds an unconscious Lemon, who has been knocked out by Ladybug and wakes him up. They both come up with a new plan to catch Ladybug and head off in different directions.

History

After tracking down Lemon's phone that Ladybug stole, Tangerine finds her thief hiding inside a bathroom. The two engage in a fight across the train which ends with Tangerine about to stab Ladybug in the eyes with chopsticks. Their fight is interrupted by another call from one of the White Death's thugs. He demands that both Tangerine and Lemon be present at the meeting at the next train station. Ladybug offers to stand in for Lemon since they don't know what he looks like and Tangerine agrees. Ladybug wants to get the briefcase for the meeting but notices that the Prince and Kimura have stolen it. They decide to take a fake briefcase and the meeting goes well until Ladybug accidentally opens it, revealing the clothes inside. They escape back to the train and try to think of a plan B until Ladybug pushes Tangerine off the train at the next station just as the doors are about to close. Tangerine jumps back onto the train and breaks a window to get back inside. Not long after, Tangerine finds the unconscious body of Lemon, whom she presumes dead due to gunshot wounds to the chest inflicted by The Prince. She receives a call from the White Death, who announces that he is going to kill everyone on the train, to which a depressed Tangerine expresses indifference. She searches the train for the suspected killer and encounters Prince, who tries to convince him that Ladybug killed Lemon. Tangerine sees through his deception due to finding train stickers that Lemon stuck on him. Before Tangerine can shoot The Prince, Ladybug enters and The Prince pretends to be an innocent girl whom Tangerine is attacking, and Ladybug fights Tangerine to defend her. In their fight, Tangerine accidentally shoots herself in the throat and bleeds to death on the ground. Her corpse likely remained in the train cars and was presumably damaged when the bullet train is torn apart at the end.

Personality

Tangerine is an eccentric and uncompromising individual with possible kleptomania; this was seen twice in the film when he randomly steals goldfish crackers in the beginning, and is soon after seen stealing a small Momonga plushie. His immediate reaction is disappointment in himself and the fact that it is an uncontrollable thing and a trait he is unsure of why he possesses. Throughout the events of the film, he is driven by a constant fear of consequences and does whatever it takes to stop his impending doom, despite knowing there is no feasible way to overcome it. He has been described as stubborn by Lemon, and was willing to blame Ladybug if it meant he could provide the White Death with some sort of satisfaction, and perhaps spare him and his brother from harsher punishment. Despite her many flaws and poor sense of morality, Tangerine shows sympathy for innocent lives and prefers to avoid any unnecessary killing, as shown when she remembers the civilian casualty in the middle of Son's rescue operation. Furthermore, she shares an unbreakable bond with her brother Lemon, whom she loves deeply. Tangerine also tends to act flirtatious unintentionally with some people, calling them "honey", "cute" or any similar adjective. She is also somewhat flirtatious on purpose, sometimes to get some reward or to avoid trouble or because she really wants to be close to that person. Tangerine is somewhat funny when he's in the mood, but when he's in a bad mood he threatens everyone, including his brother Lemon, although he usually doesn't follow through on those threats.

Data (again)

Tangerine seems to have a hatred towards any cartoon, this is seen when she criticizes the Momonga cartoon, a famous cartoon in Japan, she also did the same with Thomas the Tank Engine, her brother Lemon's favorite cartoon. Tangerine is a flirt as I mentioned before, so she won't have any problems showing it in front of everyone if she wants to. Tangerine will defend at all costs the people she loves, which would be really few and one could even say that the only person she loves is her brother, Lemon, for whom she would give her life if necessary. Tangerine is also a very rude person, it is impossible for him to spend more than 2 minutes without cursing out loud and that increases when he is upset or in a bad mood.
