Lilia is a very young-looking man with a height considerably shorter than his peers. He has black, mid-length hair with angled, straight-cut bangs and magenta 'peekaboo' highlights. Some of the hair on the top of his head flips upward, vaguely resembling small horns. His eyes are deep red, with vertical-slit pupils and long eyelashes. He has pointed, elf-like ears, as well as small fangs. He usually has a wise, benevolent smile on his face.

Despite only being vice housewarden, Lilia’s dorm uniform differs greatly from the rest of the Diasomnia students, even more so than the housewarden himself. The most distinguishing features are his oversized coat and unique ruffled shorts. Lilia also wears green eyeshadow while in his dorm uniform. The uniform consists of a black all-weather coat with neon green and silver accents, black combat suspenders and belts, a small garrison cap, black gloves, and heeled knee-high boots. Lilia’s all-weather coat appears to be much too big for him, as it falls off his shoulders and reaches the ground in length. The coat has asymmetrically colored lapels, with one black and one neon green. Both lapels have silver straps and buttons on them. The underlining of the coat is neon green. Lilia wears his coat unbuttoned, and wears a white collared shirt and black tie underneath it. Over the shirt and above the waist is a set of black belts with silver buckles. The lowest belt hangs at an angle, and connects to several silver spools of thread on his left hip. Between the belt and spools is a silver ornament, shaped like a spinning wheel. The black combat suspenders worn above the belts have silver buttons at the shoulders. Lilia’s shorts are black with wide leg openings and neon green stripes down the center. Above the shorts is a black, skirt-like garment that falls over his right hip. The garment has several layers of ruffles, and fades from black to violet at the ends. The lowest layer appears to be made of torn-up sheer fabric. Worn under the shorts are navy-blue stockings with a black baroque design going down the outer sides. The knee-high boots are black with neon green soles. Lilia’s heels are a bit taller than the average uniform’s. The garrison cap is black with neon green trim, and the sides fold up to resemble curved horns.

Personality

Lilia is easygoing and friendly with most of the students. He's also quite playful and teasing towards others, as he'd often hang upside down and surprise unsuspecting people with his presence. Due to his age, Lilia is wise and experienced, often giving advices to others. He's seemingly carefree and likes to do as he pleases, often swooping down on random people if he sees fit. He's incredibly intelligent though, so most of his banter and sense of fun sometimes hides and doesn't accurately represent how able minded he actually is. He looks anything that's reminiscent of a game; isn't exactly extremely competitive, but still fairly willing to win while still ensuring he's enjoying whatever he's doing. For someone who's lived for so long, he's surprisingly able to think and act like someone much younger; not many who didn't know him could guess that he isn't a teenager like them. However, whenever Lilia is serious he becomes somewhat strict and his words are sharper than usual, as when he berates Leona during the Spelldrive Tournament: 'That collars looks better on you than any crown ever could've'. He can loose his carefree nature and switch completely if the situation calls for it; he knows how to ensure safety in activities if need be. While it's not often that he turns sour or bitter towards someone, he will do it if he wants to. He's fairly controlled too, so for all his playfulness, he is still modestly rational about what he does.

Background

Lilia served the lord of the Briar Valley and was a former royal guard who repeatedly threw himself to the flames of the war, and has earned medals for it. He also earned the queen's trust due to his abilities and skills; because of this, when Queen Meleanor's egg (baby Malleus who hadn't hatched yet) came into Lilia's possession, he took care of it diligently and raised Malleus as if he was his own. That being said, he did commit a crime / sin by hatching Malleus (who is the prince and next heir of Briar Valley) so the council and representatives likely wouldn't welcome him with open arms if he tried to return back to Briar Valley. The queen (Meleanor) who entrusted him to take care of Malleus also is dead, so he has no one to really back him up if he did want to return. He adopted Silver when he was a child and gave him the name Silver. Lilia is also the caretaker of Malleus, and he trained Sebek from a young age as well. He took care of the lot of them in a little cottage near the outskirts of Briar Valley, since he didn't want to exactly be found by anyone.

Trivia

According to Silver, Lilia is a terrible cook. Silver refers to him as father. He gave Malleus a virtual pet as a gift. He likes to surprise and mess around with people. He has gaming habits. Malleus mentions during history lessons that Lilia's portrait is in the textbook. It's mentioned by Sebek that he and Malleus both raised Silver. Lilia has a talent for playing instruments. According to Lilia himself, he's good at singing lullabies that can make a crying infant sleep in a fraction of a second. Lilia has sharp eyesight as well as hearing. His bangs were burned before when Malleus breathed fire on him by accident. Lilia said that he likes the taste of potions that were said to taste rotten by others. He says so himself that he knew Sam's great great great grandfather. His natural hair color is black and he dyes it usually to pink, but sometimes changes it to other colors. Lilia cuts his own hair. Lilia likes sweets. Lilia tricked Vil, who didn’t carry any sweets last year. He is sensitive to light, but that doesn't mean he can't go outside while it is bright.

Vice Housewarden of Diasomnia and Malleus's overseer. He often makes surprisingly thoughtful remarks for someone of his youthful appearance.

Age

Lilia Vanrouge is roughly 700 (seven hundred) years old. He is a sort of fae, although he seems to share certain traits with vampires, so his exact species is debatable. That being said, he doesn't age as a mortal would; he can look perfectly youthful despite being severely centuries old.

Height

Lilia Vanrouge is about 158cm tall (5'2 feet), so considerably shorter than most of his peers. That being said his short height does give him and advantage sometimes.

Setting

A dorm based on the Thorn Fairy's spirit of nobility. Twisted from Sleeping Beauty. Diasomnia's crest depicts Maleficent's dragon form. At the bottom, there is a small teaser of her infamous spinning wheel, and an image of her horns protrude from the top of the crest. Has a dark and Gothic vibe to it. One of the seven dorm buildings. All seven are as follows: Heartslabyul Dorm, Savanaclaw Dorm, Octavinelle Dorm, Scarabia Dorm, Pomefiore Dorm, Ignihyde Dorm, Diasomnia Dorm. Night Raven College is an academy and the main setting of Twisted Wonderland. It is a four-year magic educational institution located on top of a mountain on the north side of the Isle of Sages.

Species

Lilia is said to be a fae, but he shares a lot of similarities with a vampire, such as sensitivity to sunlight. He has distinctively sharp upper canines, and his lower canines are also larger than most people's, but they're not as big as his upper set of fangs.

Acquaintances

Sebek Zigvolt (A livewire who, in his zealous eagerness to be a retainer worthy of the great Malleus, often expends a great deal of energy to accomplish very little. He views his fellow countryman Silver as a rival. Sebek is a tall boy with fair skin. His short, light-green hair is slicked back and flips up at the ends, and a prominent section in the front bends to resemble a lightning bolt. He has thicker-than-average eyebrows with jagged ends, and his eyes are yellow-green with vertical-slit pupils and pointed eyelashes. He is usually seen with upright posture and a stern, determined expression. When his mouth is open, sharp fangs are visible.) Malleus Draconia. Housewarden of Diasomnia. Descended from fae, he is one of the most powerful mages in the world. He is highly respected on campus, yet his demeanor is less than approachable. Malleus is a considerably tall young man with pale skin. He has cool-black hair that’s mostly cut mid-length, with long bangs and two longer sections of hair on his sides that fall over his shoulders. He also has one small cowlick on the top of his head. The bottom ends of his hair fade into a dark turquoise color. He has bright green eyes with vertical-slit pupils and long eyelashes. His lips are a slightly darker color than his skin, and he usually wears what appears to be subtle dark eyeshadow. Silver. Silver is a fair-skinned young man of average height. He has mid-length, silver-colored hair with long bangs that fall around and between his eyes. He also has a small cowlick on the top of his head. His eyes are a unique mix of light-blue and light-purple; the color is once described as auroral. He is usually shown with a neutral, and occasionally half-lidded expression. Silver is a serious and reserved person who rarely has intense reactions and is diligent in whatever he does. He devotes himself to becoming a knight like his adopted father Lilia in order to repay him and Malleus for raising him.
