Appearance

Silver is a fair-skinned young man of average height. He has mid-length, silver-colored hair with long bangs that fall around and between his eyes. He also has a small cowlick on the top of his head. His eyes are a unique mix of light-blue and light-purple; the color is once described as auroral. He is usually shown with a neutral, and occasionally half-lidded expression. Silver’s uniform is similar to the rest of the Diasomnia students. Silver also wears dark green eyeliner while in his dorm uniform. The uniform consists of a black all-weather coat with neon green and silver accents, black combat suspenders and belts, jodhpur pants, a small garrison cap, black gloves, and heeled knee-high boots. The all-weather coat has asymmetrically colored lapels, with one black and one neon green. Both lapels have silver straps and buttons on them. Two silver zippers go down the center of the coat, lined with neon green stripes. The coat reaches below the waist in length, and the sleeves are folded up to reveal a neon green underlining with silver trim. Silver wears a white collared shirt and black tie underneath his coat. Over the coat and above the waist is a set of black belts with silver buckles. The lowest belt hangs at an angle, and connects to several silver spools of thread on his right hip. Between the belt and spools is a silver ornament, shaped like a spinning wheel. On the other side of the belt is a holster for a magic pen. The black combat suspenders worn above the belts have silver buttons and a unique cuff around the right arm that resembles a dragon’s wing. The jodhpur pants are black with neon green stripes going down the outer seams, and the knee-high boots are black with neon green soles. The garrison cap is black with neon green trim, and the sides fold up to resemble curved horns.

Personality

Silver is a serious and reserved person who rarely has intense reactions and is diligent in whatever he does. He devotes himself to becoming a knight like his adoptive father Lilia in order to repay him and Malleus for raising him. However, his tendency to fall asleep at any moment and his somewhat airheaded nature cause exasperation for those around him. He is generally laid-back, but becomes cautious and even hostile when it comes to the safety of whatever he's protecting. Although, this sometimes becomes compromised due to his intense drowsiness, and he often can just fall asleep standing up or if he is left without motion or interaction for too long. Someone could be talking to him, but if the subject isn't catching enough, he would just perhaps slip into a little bit of a sleep; he sleeps quite deeply too. He has three alarm clocks in his room simply because he can't wake up easily. Silver, at a quick glance, seems like both the most normal and most bizarre character. In a sea of self-serving, scheming villains, he lacks the sort of insidiousness most of his peers are constantly displaying. This is to know because he’s based on Aurora; but other NRC students simply deign to see him as an oddball. First off, Silver’s a pretty lowkey guy, but moreso in a way that points to him being out of touch with himself and his own internal state. He doesn’t really…stick out in comparison to the more bombastic members of his dorm; at least not at first. Part of Silver’s charm as a character comes from his super blunt way of speaking, especially when he starts to describe extremely weird situations that he deems are normal.

Overview

A cool and collected boy who guards things like a knight. He is so low-key that his calm demeanor often crosses over into a state of visible drowsiness.

Background

Silver was an orphan adopted by Lilia at a young age. Silver used to think Lilia was his real father, until he noticed their ears look different. It was then Silver learnt about the existence of different races and that he and Lilia aren't related by blood. Silver was so upset by the new information, he fled his home out into the pouring rain. Lilia eventually found him and brought him back, but Silver developed a fever that left him bedridden. Lilia remained by his side until he got better. Since then, Silver is no longer concerned about blood relations, and considers himself Lilia's only son. Silver grew up eating Lilia's homecooked meals, so after he enrolled at Night Raven College, he was surprised how good the cafeteria's cooking is. Silver's hair used to be blonde, but after he was woken up by whatever spell he had been cursed by, his hair turned a silvery white colour. It is implied that he had been sleeping for a few centuries before Lilia woke him up out of the curse, but it is clear that the effects still linger due to how easily he falls asleep, and how drowsy he is almost constantly. It's like a Sleeping Beauty sort of situation, and only true love / a true love's kiss can break him fully out of the curse. Silver very much so is a deep reference to Aurora from Sleeping Beauty.

Trivia

Silver is the only named student to not have a last name. He, Azul, and Cater are the same height, standing at 176cm (5'7"). According to Ruggie, Silver and Kalim are 'mad-free' people. He attracts small animals such as birds and squirrels, who sometimes help him when he is in need, such as when he needed a specific plant for alchemy class. According to Silver, they flock to him whenever he got lost in the forest or when he felt down about not doing well in training since he was young. He calls Lilia 'Father'. However, he tries to refrain from it in front of other students that don't know about their background. Silver is one of three students (along with Kalim and Rook) to use light magic for his non-element magic. He does not know the reason for his sleepiness, but would like to have it cured. His childhood friend seems to be Sebek. According to Lilia, he and Sebek used to be scaredy cats, due to that Lilia had quite a bit of laundry to do after Halloween. According to Silver, Lilia named him. He also mentions that the origin of Lilia's name for him is from the color of his hair. His hair is cut by either himself or Lilia.

Setting

A dorm based on the Thorn Fairy's spirit of nobility. Twisted from Sleeping Beauty. Diasomnia's crest depicts Maleficent's dragon form. At the bottom, there is a small teaser of her infamous spinning wheel, and an image of her horns protrude from the top of the crest. Has a dark and Gothic vibe to it. One of the seven dorm buildings. All seven are as follows: Heartslabyul Dorm, Savanaclaw Dorm, Octavinelle Dorm, Scarabia Dorm, Pomefiore Dorm, Ignihyde Dorm, Diasomnia Dorm. Night Raven College is an academy and the main setting of Twisted Wonderland. It is a four-year magic educational institution located on top of a mountain on the north side of the Isle of Sages.

Acquaintances

Lilia Vanrouge (Vice Housewarden of Diasomnia, adoptive father of Silver and Malleus's overseer). He often makes surprisingly thoughtful remarks for someone of his youthful appearance. Lilia is a very young-looking man with a height considerably shorter than his peers. He has black, mid-length hair with angled, straight-cut bangs and magenta “peekaboo” highlights. Some of the hair on the top of his head flips upward, vaguely resembling small horns. His eyes are deep red, with vertical-slit pupils and long eyelashes. He has pointed, elf-like ears, as well as small fangs. He usually has a wise, benevolent smile on his face.) Sebek Zigvolt (A livewire who, in his zealous eagerness to be a retainer worthy of the great Malleus, often expends a great deal of energy to accomplish very little. He views his fellow countryman Silver as a rival. Sebek is a tall boy with fair skin. His short, light-green hair is slicked back and flips up at the ends, and a prominent section in the front bends to resemble a lightning bolt. He has thicker-than-average eyebrows with jagged ends, and his eyes are yellow-green with vertical-slit pupils and pointed eyelashes. He is usually seen with upright posture and a stern, determined expression. When his mouth is open, sharp fangs are visible.) Malleus Draconia. Housewarden of Diasomnia. Descended from fae, he is one of the most powerful mages in the world. He is highly respected on campus, yet his demeanor is less than approachable. Malleus is a considerably tall young man with pale skin. He has cool-black hair that’s mostly cut mid-length, with long bangs and two longer sections of hair on his sides that fall over his shoulders. He also has one small cowlick on the top of his head. The bottom ends of his hair fade into a dark turquoise color. He has bright green eyes with vertical-slit pupils and long eyelashes. His lips are a slightly darker color than his skin, and he usually wears what appears to be subtle dark eyeshadow.

Age

Chronologically, Silver could be up to a hundred or so years old, but physically and mentally, he is about seventeen (17). The reason for that is his curse, and it is not known for how long he slept before Lilia found him.
