Appearance

Devil: As a demon, Gyutaro was a relatively tall young man of somewhat muscular build[4] with a pale grey complexion[5] dotted with black spots whose anatomy was somewhat strange in that his upper torso, arms and legs were extremely muscular where his waist was incredibly thin, his pelvis protruding at an unnatural angle[6]. He possessed slender, green and red eyes with bright orange sclera[7] that slanted sharply downwards at the sides and bore a numbering on the irises indicative of his position as the Six Crescent Moon within the Twelve Demonic Moons (陸上弦 (Roku Jōgen, 陸上弦?). He had unruly hair tied back in a ponytail[8], the top portion being black while the bottom portion was a brighter green worn[9] in a messy style with uneven bangs and several chokes. His body and face had notable markings such as ink-like black spots on his body and a flowing water-like pattern on his face.[10] Many have considered Gyutaro to be very ugly.[11] He wore no shirt, only a pair of loose blue trousers and seven pieces of patterned red cloth to decorate his body, a large one around his neck and three smaller ones around each arm.[12]

Personality

Gyutaro scratches himself until he bleeds from envy Gyutaro has a habit of scratching his skin until it bleeds due to his jealousy. Due to the hard life he lived in extreme poverty bordering on squalor and the harsh tragedies he experienced as a human,[14] Gyutaro described himself as cruel, petty, and envious of anyone blessed with a better life than him, leading him to develop a habit of sarcasm, praising a person's best traits and then vengefully trying to kill them, as he did with Tengen Uzui. Due to these hardships he faced as a human, Gyutaro eventually developed a personal belief that taking something away from those who have a better life than the one he had as a human is justified. A disturbing habit he seems to have is the inclination to harm himself when angry, frustrated, or jealous, as seen when he scratches hard enough to rip deep wounds into his own flesh when he becomes jealous of Tengen[15] due to his attractiveness and the latter commenting on being married to three wives. Having lived for a century fighting the Demon Extermination Corps and having killed several Pillars over the years made him someone arrogant, developing the habit of underestimating his opponents and looking down on them as if they were beneath him, as he did with the team of Hunters sent to kill him by having his sister fight and deal with them first instead of doing it himself.

Being part of the Twelve Demonic Moons, Gyutaro possessed superhuman strength and endurance, completely different from that of a conventional demon. This was due to the fact that a considerable portion of Muzan Kibutsuji's blood ran through his veins and also because he consumed a large number of people over the years. Gyutaro claims to have killed and devoured fifteen Pillars himself. [1] Even when the fight against the hunters was tipped in their favor, Gyutaro and Daki were able to recover and turn the tide in their favor during the fight. He was able to injure, maim, and nearly kill Tengen Uzui, the Sound Pillar, Tanjiro, and Inosuke, who survived thanks to Nezuko's Demonic Blood Technique that was able to neutralize the poison present in their blood. His strength was so overwhelming even in his days as a human, being able to easily kill a samurai and an adult woman larger and heavier than him. In fact, Muzan later states that if he hadn't been so arrogant, he probably would have been able to kill them all.[2] Regeneration: Being one of the Twelve Demon Moons and the sixth Upper Moon, his regeneration ability far surpassed that of ordinary Demons. Gyutaro was even able to grasp a Nichirin Blade with his teeth without it causing considerable damage to him. Speed: Gyutaro's speed Gyutaro about to attack Tanjiro demonstrating his great speed. In terms of speed, Gyutaro proved to be quite fast, much faster than his companion Gyokko, the Upper Fifth Moon who in terms of power is superior to him. This is partly due to the amount of blood he received from Muzan Kibutsuji and the number of people he devoured over the years. His speed is such that he could appear to teleport, suddenly appearing in front of his opponent without giving them time to react[3]. Gyutaro was even able to catch up with the opponent's breakneck speed.

Gyutaro was even able to match the blazing speed of Tengen Uzui, the Pillar of Sound and one of the fastest swordsmen, being able to anticipate his movements and launch attacks much faster than Uzui's. [4] [5] At the same time, Gyutaro was fast enough to repel a flurry of kunai thrown at him. [6] Expert Fighter: As part of his human memories, Gyutaro had become an excellent fighter, being skilled enough to match the strength and fighting techniques of a pillar of Tengen Uzui's caliber despite his experience as a Shinobi. Poison: He demonstrated the ability to inject poison into his scythes, which was fatal if not treated quickly. This poison nearly killed the sound pillar, Tengen Uzui, who only survived thanks to Nezuko Kamado's Demonic Blood technique. Unlimited Stamina and Energy: Gyutaro showed no signs of fatigue when fighting, as his stamina was practically unlimited. As two beings forming a single body, the two brothers could not be killed individually, giving them an air of invincibility. However, this proved to be one of their greatest weaknesses, as the only 100% sure way to kill him was to cut off his head at the same time as Daki's. Tactical Ability: Oddly enough, Gyutaro is a formidable opponent due to his intelligence and combat prowess. Using the information Daki transmits to him through the eye implanted in his forehead, Gyutaro can use his Demon Blood techniques with great effectiveness, creating attacks that are impossible for his opponents to dodge. Demonic Blood Technique (血けっ鬼き術じゅつ,, Kekkijutsu?): As a member of the Twelve Demonic Moons, he was capable of a demonic technique.

Demonic Blood Technique (血けっ鬼き術じゅつ, Kekkijutsu?): As a member of the Twelve Demonic Moons, he was capable of using the Demonic Blood Technique and developed an ability that allowed him to create blood scythes wrapped in poison. Scythe Dew (飛とび血ち鎌がま, Tobi Chigamo?)[7]: He was able to launch a large number of slashes directed towards the enemy. He was also able to determine the direction in which his scythe should impact. Unbridled Evil Bows (跋ばつ弧こ跳ちょう梁りょう, Batsuko Chōryō?)[8]: He was able to create a series of scythes forming a dome that protected him from attacks. Death Blade Spiral: Splashing Scythe (円えん斬ざん旋せん廻かい・飛とび血ち鎌がま, Enzan Senkai - Tobi Chigamo?)[9]: He enveloped his arms in circular waves of blood with great slashing ability. Its reach was quite wide and massive.
