Akali is a thin but muscular woman with fair skin and her formerly reddish-brown eyes now neon green with deep black sclera. Her thick, formerly black hair now white is often disheveled, tied up in a large messy bun that spreads out in all directions. She also has a tattoo of a pale blue dragon among billowing white clouds on her arms and the back of her shoulders. A neon green spectral crown floats on her head like a halo, a sign that she is under the control of her king. Her typical professional attire is various shades of green with brown leather highlights. She wears baggy pants, a crop top, a tabi, and a cloth mask that covers her lower face.

Akali is impatient, explosive and determined, preferring to leave the Kinkou Order rather than betray her own ideals and not fight for his people. It is notable that, despite this, she is still loyal to Ionia, being able to do anything, even to become a murderer, to protect the First Lands and her home.

**Early Life** Akali was born into the Kinkou Order, daughter of Tahno and Mayym Jhomen Tethi. Her mother, Mayym, was the Fist of Shadow, responsible for maintaining Ionia's spiritual balance. Raised by Kinkou masters like Master Kusho and Kennen, Akali learned shuriken techniques, speed, and agility. A prodigy, she trained alongside Master Kusho's son, Shen. **Shadow Order Attack** During the Noxian Invasion, Zed, a former student of Master Kusho, returned and violently took over the Kinkou Order, transforming it into the Shadow Order. Zed's followers killed many Kinkou members, including Akali's father. Akali fled to a temple in the eastern mountains with her mother, Shen, and Kennen. **Rebuilding the Kinkou Order** In the mountains, Shen rebuilt the Kinkou Order, focusing on its core philosophies. Mayym, as the Fist of Shadow, trained Akali and other neophytes. Akali became friends with Faey, another neophyte. Although skilled, Akali's impatience often caused trouble. **Encounter with the Navori Brotherhood** While training, Akali and the neophytes encountered the Navori Brotherhood, an Ionian nationalist faction. They scared the warriors away but accidentally angered a corrupted nature spirit. Akali and Faey tried to save the neophytes, but Faey was gravely injured. Akali was praised for her bravery, but Faey blamed her for the injury. **Becoming the Fist of Shadow** At fourteen, Akali officially began her Kinkou training. She succeeded her mother as the Fist of Shadow, proving her worth through skill alone. **Leaving the Kinkou Order** Post-Noxian Invasion, Akali questioned the Kinkou's effectiveness. She often clashed with Shen over their methods. Eventually, she left the order, believing she could better protect Ionia independently.

Modern History As a vigilante assassin, Akali lived in Ionia, targeting those who harmed her people. In Weh'le, she killed a corrupt councilman. Despite leaving the Kinkou, she maintained a close relationship with Shen.Reunion with Shen Akali and Shen encountered a Noxian boy cutting wood from a Guardian Tree. The tree's protector, powered by the forest's anger, attacked. Akali helped the boy plant a new tree, restoring balance.Search for Zed In Zhyun, Akali and Shen sought Zed, who had assassinated a Kinkou master. They confronted Zed's acolytes but Zed escaped. Shen revealed Zed warned him about Khada Jhin, a serial killer, and they planned to capture him.Capturing Khada Jhin Akali followed Shen in the hunt for Jhin, whose traps caused massive damage. In Zaun, Jhin captured Akali, but Shen and Zed rescued her. They captured Jhin, with Zed leaving Shen and Akali to decide his fate.The Second Noxian Invasion During a second Noxian incursion, Akali joined Irelia, Kennen, Karma, and Yasuo to defend Ionia. They targeted the undead juggernaut Sion and led a final charge against the Noxian forces.
