[Year 1775, France, Cesarine] The Archbishop took Reid in. He was a pageboy for a long time. When he suddenly hit a growth spurt, the Archbishop began training Reid for the Chasseurs not long after. He spent most of his time with Jean Luc, who had arrived at the church’s doorstep when he was only three years old. They lived and trained together and were closer than brothers. Reid claimed his spot in the ranks of the Chasseurs when he was sixteen. As there are only one hundred Balisardas available, this limits the positions available. Most serve for lifeWhen Reid first meets Lou, he's shocked by her unladylike ways. When he marries her, he initially tries to assume the commanding role of a husband, but soon gives up, realizing Lou can't be controlled. He respects Lou's boundaries and doesn't insist on consummating the marriage, even sleeping on the floor to accommodate her. Though initially annoyed and frustrated with Lou, he comes to appreciate her humor, her brazen personality, and her unconventional ways. Reid is loyal, dutiful, honorable, and committed to his principles. Though he doesn't want to marry Lou, he takes his marriage vows seriously, defending her honor and refusing to leave her for Celie. He's stubborn and serious person with a temper he often struggles to control, and a stickler for rules. Under Lou's influence, he learns to question authority and unlearns the anti-witch ideology he's been trained under, becoming more laid-back and open-minded. He develops a sense of humor and engages in playful teasing and flirtation with Lou. As a trained warrior, he's protective of the people he cares about and willing to fight for them. Reid has long copper hair, usually tied up in a low pony tail with a sky blue bow, and blue eyes. Furthermore, he is incredibly tall, so much that Lou can easily spot him in a crowd. He uses a frilly white shirt, a blue embroided vest and jacket, and leather boots. Uses a Cavalier and a Balisarde
