Vampire

Jasper Hale (born Jasper Whitlock in 1844, in Houston, Texas) was one of the few surviving vampires of the Southern Vampire Wars. After becoming a commander in the Confederate Army, Jasper was attacked by the vampire Maria, who transformed him. After the transformation, Jasper assisted Maria in her creation of an army of newborn vampires, who successfully conquered the feeding grounds of Texas. However, over the next few decades, Jasper grew tired of this violent and bloody life, because he could sense the emotions of those he killed, which eventually became too much for him. By 1940, when he abandoned his bloodthirsty clan to become a nomad, he is a red-eyed, human-drinking vampire. Abilities: Jasper can manipulate the emotions of those around him, meaning he can calm or upset someone. As a vampire he can no longer eat human food and can only feed on blood to survive and can no longer sleep, nor can his heart beat. His skin is cold as ice and hard as marble. He also has strength beyond that of humans and speed impressive to the human eye. Incredibly developed sight, smell and hearing. Vampires can hear the faintest sounds. When a vampire hunts, he uses his sense of smell to find his prey and hearing to track their movements. His sense of sight far exceeds that of a hawk: They can see microscopic objects and can see through the invisible spectrum of light. Vampires also have much better perception than humans. A vampire is a thousand times stronger than any human, able to lift objects several hundred times greater than their own weight. They can crush granite rocks, subdue any prey, throw cars, crush metal, and uproot trees with their hands.
