History

Charlie was born in Hell, the daughter of Lucifer and Lilith, the rulers of the kingdom. Growing up, Ella Charlie tried to see the good in her home and the people who lived there, despite witnessing the atrocities of sinners and their victimization during the annual Extermination. At some point in her early life, Charlie would become familiar with the von Eldritch family due to her family's connections in Hell. [1] Charlie would be put off by Helsa von Eldritch's attitude and the two would become rivals. Charlie was also in a relationship with Helsa's brother Seviathan at one point, but for unknown reasons they broke up. At some point before the pilot, Charlie met Vaggie after an Extermination, when she found her seriously injured in an alley. Charlie bandaged Vaggie's missing eye and the two became friends; this would eventually lead to a romantic relationship forming between them. Some time before the pilot, Charlie decided to open the Happy Hotel to rehabilitate sinners and send them to heaven as an alternative method to Hell's overpopulation crisis.

Story 2

Upon opening the Happy Hotel, Charlie and Vaggie would try to find someone who would be willing to become the hotel's first resident. After spending some time searching, they came across Angel Dust, prostituting herself on the streets. Charlie pays him to listen to her offer and is very excited when Angel agrees to go with them and become the hotel's first tenant. Charlie is able to see through Angel's frivolous bravado, which unnerves him. When Angel volunteers to become the hotel's first customer, claiming that he is "3 months behind on his rent" and does not wish to pay by other means, Charlie enthusiastically thanks him and pays Angel a considerable sum for help them.

Story 3

Two weeks pass, and after the most recent Extermination, Charlie, along with Vaggie, go to formally present the Happy Hotel on the news show "666 News", hosted by Katie Killjoy and Tom Trench, for the viewers and all of Hell; despite his promise to Vaggie, Charlie ultimately decides to get his idea across by singing. Unfortunately, his efforts backfire when everyone present laughs at the ridiculous idea of ​​rehabilitating a demon in Hell; also, at that moment, Charlie and Vaggie are informed that their only tenant, Angel Dust, is being part of a turf war with Cherri Bomb against Sir Pentious. Charlie eventually becomes enraged by Katie's continued belittling and mocking of her and the two engage in a prolonged fight that is broadcast on air; the resulting fight destroys much of the studio and during the chaos, Charlie sets fire to Katie's co-host Tom Trench. As they head back to the hotel, Charlie sadly looks out the window and hears Vaggie and Angel yelling at each other about what happened. He eventually speaks up and tells Angel that what he did was wrong. Charlie tries to keep a positive outlook that there is still a chance it could work, but after trying to call his mother, he begins to cry as he realizes that his efforts and dreams may be futile after all; he tells his mother in a voicemail that he has no idea how to make his idea work and worries that his father may be right about her. As Charlie sadly thinks about what to do next, he hears a knock at the door; upon opening it, Charlie is shocked and horrified to see the Radio Demon, known as Alastor. Despite panicking and asking Vaggie what to do, Charlie allows the demon to speak and is shocked when he offers his help in running the hotel, knowing Alastor's status as an Overlord.

Appearance

Charlie is a hellish demon, standing around 1.63m or 1.65m with his shoes on. He has long blonde hair, with pink and lighter blonde highlights, tied back in a low ponytail with two bands. His blonde bangs curl to the left. Despite having a mostly humanoid appearance, Charlie possesses several animal features: fangs in his mouth, a small snout, and red-toed hooves. Her lips are black and she has pinkish red cheeks, which VivziePop has mentioned being inspired by dolls and puppets. She wears grey eyeliner, her eyes are red, her sclera are light yellow, and she has thick black eyelashes, both upper and lower. He adorns himself with a small black bow tie and black suspenders, with an untucked white long-sleeved dress shirt. Over this he usually wears a fitted red tuxedo jacket with dark red lapels and fitted red trousers. He wears black and white riding shoes. When in his full demonic form, a pair of dark, reddish horns protrude from his head and the sclera of his eyes turn bright red with slit pupils. Personality

Charlie is compassionate and empathetic to a fault, and is genuinely upset at the thought of others coming to harm. Although he is not unaware that Hell is populated by souls who have committed atrocious acts in their lives, he still considers their annual extermination as a senseless waste and his personal mission is to help them avoid it through self-improvement and final redemption, something in which who seems to be the only one to believe that it is possible. Charlie's idealism, while setting her apart from many of her fellow hellions, can also make her naïve to many of the harsh realities that seem to stand in the way of her potential success, something her girlfriend, Vaggie, tries to remind her, only to be happily ignored in favor of a blinder, sunnier optimism. This can also cause you to rush into the initial phases of your plans without much preparation (your to-do list before your big news appearance only said "unicorn kisses, high-fives with dolphins, singing songs = happy ending?" "). Charlie loves musical theater, singing and dancing, and often conveys her emotions and ideas through songs and ballads. She seems to take her failures to heart, as she believes that her sincere theatrical passion should be enough to convince people of her way of thinking, and she becomes discouraged when she is not as straightforward as she imagines. . In a despondent voicemail to her mother, she openly admits that she does not know what she is doing or how to implement her plan to reform sinners. Despite her sweetness and lack of "street smarts," Charlie is neither stupid nor pushover.
