At other times, she has her hair down and falls covering the right side of her face completely [5]. She has thin eyebrows and her eyes are gray [6]; On other occasions, they were represented in black [3]. In the anime, Mei Mei has a tragus piercing in her left ear and often paints her nails.[7] Her characteristic clothing consists, most of the time, of a long black jumpsuit with long sleeves and a tight torso [4], a high collar, rounded shoulders with loose pants which fit reaching her calves, and black shoes [ 8]. During her days as a student, she wore her hair tied in a ponytail with two strands on either side of her face. She was wearing a black jumpsuit with a corset, light-colored tie, and black boots [2]. As casual clothing, she wears a long, light-colored loose dress with bare shoulders and fitted at the waist [9], and when she plays ping pong, she wears a collared short-sleeved shirt and dark-colored shorts [10 ].

Personality

Mei Mei is a very confident and proud woman. She prioritizes herself and her own strength above everything else [3] [5]. She is aware of her weaknesses and her limits, and she is able to face again things that she already considered losses, such as when she refocused on her cursed technique despite having considered her weak at one time. principle [11]. She has said that what is most important to her in her life is every benefit she can get, whether from a person, situation or thing, whether monetary or not [4]. She possesses a rationality that is often somewhat ruthless and she uses her intelligence to achieve any goal she wishes to achieve [5]. Satoru Gojo considers her someone who is strong and incapable of crying in the face of the complicated situations she must face [2]. Even so, he constantly questions the side that Mei Mei usually supports, although she always claims to be on the side that offers the most money [4]. During the Shibuya Incident, she had the freedom to rescue Gojo, however, the first thing she thought about was what benefits rescuing him would bring her. When he realized that rescuing his partner was no longer a viable path, he immediately protected his money and shares in the stock market from the possible implications that could occur following the devastation that occurred in Japan as a result of the destruction caused by Sukuna and Suguru Geto's plan[5].

History

Kyoto Exchange Festival Arc: Mei Mei is one of the teachers observing the group match between the students of Tokyo Metropolitan Magic Technical College and Kyoto Metropolitan Magic Technical College. Using her crows, she witnesses the match between Maki and Kasumi and is amazed by Maki's ability. Mei asks why they can't make her a second-grade shaman, to which Satoru Gojo replies that it's due to family issues involving the Zenin Clan. Gojo also tells Mei that for some reason, Yuji's match looks a bit inconsistent to which she says that animals get tired if they share their vision for too long. [1] Some time later, all the talismans in the room disappear. This means that all the curses have been exorcised, but Mei says that neither she nor her crows saw anything. On Masamichi Yaga's orders, Mei stays in the room to find all the students using her crows. [2] When the invaders are repelled, Mei stands with the rest of the teachers listening to Kiyotaka Ijichi name all the casualties from the attack. [3] The Origin of Obedience Arc: Mei is going through her accounts when she finds that Satoru deposited $10,000,000 into her. Some time later, Mei is in front of Yoshinobu Gakuganji alongside Aoi Todo to recommend Maki, Megumi, Panda, Nobara, and Yuji to be promoted to First Grade Shamans. [4] After that meeting, Mei is playing ping-pong with Aoi as he tells her the reasons why he wants Yuji to be promoted to First Grade: he wants to go on missions with him. Mei tells him that since he recommended him to be promoted, she cannot accompany him. The game ends and Mei leaves. [5]

Star Plasma Vessel Arc: When Satoru Gojo, Suguru Geto, and Shoko Ieiri were still second-year students at Tokyo Metropolitan Magic Technical College, Mei was on a mission with Utahime Iori. Both were locked up for two days inside a mansion in which time passed differently and everything was repeated. While they were thinking about how to escape, Satoru, Suguru and Shojo arrived to save them. When everyone was greeting each other, Mei asked the students where the screen was to cover things. There was no screen and the incident at the mansion was all over the news.[6]

Shibuya Incident Arc: On October 31, a strange screen appears in Shibuya Prefecture. Mei is at Aoyama Cemetery with her brother, Ui Ui, and Yuji Itadori. At 08:39 PM, Mei receives a call and they change their destination because a screen identical to the one in Shibuya appeared at Meiji Temple Station and that they should head there. [7] At 08:51 PM they arrive at the station and an assistant explains the situation to them, also informing them that the space between the two screens is filled with modified humans. [8] Mei uses her crows to explore the place until they are destroyed by a screen located in the first underground floor. Mei informs Yuji and his brother everything she discovered with the crows. They decide that it is best to split up and have Yuji go through one entrance while Mei and her brother go through another. [9] When Mei destroys the screen, she goes down with her brother to the fifth underground floor to wait for Yuji[10] and is surprised when he appears because he thought he would have trouble getting there. The only person they find in the fifth underground floor is a modified human who implies that Mahito passed by the station and modified all the humans who boarded the train[11] so Yuji, Mei and his brother run along the tracks to get to the other station in time until a robot of Kokichi Muta arrives at Yuji's ears. [12]

Kokichi explains to them that Satoru has been sealed. Mei initially does not believe him but Kokichi explains that the robot he is speaking to them from only activates if Satoru has been sealed. He also tells Mei that he is inexperienced in serious situations and warns them that two curse users are approaching who intend to kill Yuji. Team Mei is trapped by a screen that prevents the magi from passing through and are unable to contact each other because phones do not work inside the screens. Kokichi tells Yuji to go to Shibuya via the surface and tasks Mei with opening a path for him, reminding him that Satoru's disappearance will affect everyone (including money). Just then, the curse users appear and Mei prepares to fight them. [13] Mei easily defeats the two curse users, while Yuji, Megumi Fushiguro and Takuma Ino destroy another screen. Mei is excited about the money Satoru will give her for all the help she's giving him. [14] Just then, Suguru appears on the train. Mei is shocked to see him alive but quickly realizes he's an impostor and says she's sorry to kill someone with such a special smile. Suguru replies that he doesn't want to kill his former senpai either but releases the Smallpox Deity anyway which quickly imprisons Mei and her brother in its territory. [15]

The Smallpox Deity attacks by locking Mei in a coffin and then attempts to crush him with a large stone. If Mei doesn't get out of the coffin in less than three seconds, she will catch the disease and die. Mei asks her brother if he would risk her life for her, to which he says that he always does. This conversation is what allows Ui to release the cursed energy from him and activate a Simple Territory that cancels out the Smallpox Deity's territory. With the small space opened by Ui, Mei exorcises the cursed spirit. Suguru is surprised, saying that indeed the sorcerers are getting stronger and stronger.[16] Mei used Ui's technique to escape from Suguru. They are in Kuala Lampur, the capital of Malaysia, sleeping and enjoying a hotel until Mei gets up to make a call. Mei calls to tell "someone", her trusted insider, to sell all the stocks in Japan and the real estate in Tokyo because Japan will have a crisis [17].

Skills

Mei Mei is a first-degree shaman with independent affiliation. She occasionally works for the Tokyo Metropolitan Magic Technical College.

Physical Power

Force: Although the full extent of her strength is unknown, she has shown to be able to easily carry a large axe that she often uses in combat[1]. It is known that her physical ability has reached the limits of her training, and she also confessed that she has trained hard since she was little, so she can fight without having to use her cursed technique[2]. She was able to walk through the streets of Tokyo carrying her axe with her[1] and when using it, she has shown that she can manipulate it with great agility, giving the impression of having nothing in her hands. She easily defeated two cursed users who tried to attack her[2]. Intelligence: She is an intelligent person and a great strategist. Because she knows her own limits in battle[2], she knows how to take advantage of her abilities, managing to speed up the situation she finds herself in. She has a quick analytical ability that allows her to create a well-developed plan that ensures victory, even if it leads to the death of those around her[3]. In the middle of combat, she has the habit of carefully analyzing the enemy's abilities to decipher a way to counter their technique[4]. In her younger days, in the middle of a mission, she was caught in a cursed technique and while counting the time that had passed, she managed to determine the type of technique her opponent was using and came up with a plan to end it[4]. Furthermore, after facing the Smallpox Deity, she quickly determined her mode of attack and created a plan using her younger brother to ensure victory[3].

Cursed Power and Techniques

Cursed Technique: Mei Mei's cursed technique is known as "Crow Manipulation Technique" (黒鳥操術, Kokuchō Sōjutsu?). An innate technique that allows you to manipulate crows or black birds with complete freedom. It is capable of sharing its vision to see everything that they observe[5] and are quite effective in direct attacks[3]. The derived techniques that she can use are: "Avian Strike" (神風, Bādo Sutoraiku?): She orders her crows to commit suicide, thus removing the cursed energy limiter on them and with the cursed energy raised they crash into the enemy. Except for Gojo, no one can dodge this attack[3].

Instruments and weapons

It is unknown if he has any type of professional training in the use of cursed weapons or tools. However, he has been shown to make use of heavy tools in combat with great fluidity and lethal use. Some of the tools used throughout the series are: Axe (, Axe?)[1]: consists of an ax of great length and weight. Its handle is light toned and its grip has bandages, while the middle of the blade has a symbol.
