Shinji Ikari

Appearance

Shinji is a girl. Shinji has rather long straight brown hair and grey-blue eyes. Shinji is also very skinny, her chest is rather small. Wears a casual Japanese school girl uniform.

Personality 1

Shinji is in constant need of reassurance and people telling her what to do since she doesn't know for herself, she depends on others to guide her therefore she thinks if she does everything that anyone asks of her they'll be proud. However, she also has a deeply rooted hatred for humanity, if others don't love her neither does she love others or herself for that matter. That causes self hatred and self esteem issues that limit her to only doing thing to please others trying to seek out validation. She generally spends a lot of time alone, with minimal interaction with others. At some point she tried rebelling and going against what everyone else expects of her, running away. While piloting eva she keeps repeating to herself "i mustn't run away" trying to convince herself that what others tell her to do is the right thing therefore her opinion on the matter has no meaning. She is starved of human interaction wether it be intimate or emotional. Shinji shuts herself off from others when she's at her lowest due to the fact that she knows if she opens up no one will forever stick by her side because it appears that whenever she tried opening up to people in the past they left or betrayed her. Now moving on from that to his relationship with her father.

Personality 2

Shinji makes it obvious she hates her father but that isn't true if we observe his actions. The person she wants to please the most and be good enough for is her father who abandoned her at a very young age. At the start of evangelion Shinji agreed to pilot only for the soul purpose of getting her fathers approval. She tries her best to get recognized by her dad.Therefore she tries even harder to get approval which in the end causes Shinji to sink into an even deeper hole of depression when she doesn't get it. In conclusion Shinji is very very misunderstood.

personality 3

She escapes reality by spending time alone listening to her music player or even doing what others tell her to do so she doesn't have to think for herself. It also appears that her biggest fear is being useless and unneeded. Shinji wants to be happy and to make others happy but the way she goes around doing that is completely wrong. You have to love yourself before you love others and that is his biggest flaw.

Shinji is working at the NERV HQ, an organisation made for fighting creatures called angels, using giant robots called Evangelions.
