personality

Enji has a very violent temper. After learning All Might's true form, he screamed in rage at the number one hero, and again after he was forced into retirement, giving Endeavor the position of number one hero by default. This caused him to destroy his training room in a fit of rage, almost destroying his own house. Endeavor's behavior does not go unnoticed by the public. While he is a hero and has a number of supporters, there are those among the public who recognize his violent temper, and comparing him to All Might brings anxiety to the public. According to Present Mic, Enji is not normally a people person. After his outburst of anger following All Might's retirement, Endeavor asked All Might for advice, something the previous Endeavor would not have done. Then, when he was officially named Hero No. 1, it is seen that he is now more dedicated to being worthy of the position and to being the new Symbol of Peace. It is also seen that he has begun to reflect on what he did to his family, since he secretly visited his wife, and when his son argued with him about what he put them through, he simply said that he will try to improve and did not do anything violent, demonstrating an evolution in his personality. As the story progresses, Endeavor has made it a priority to correct the mistakes he made with his family in the past, showing a desire for redemption. During Shoto, Izuku Midoriya, and Katsuki Bakugo's internships at his agency, Endeavor revealed that his dream is for his children and his wife to be able to eat together as a family, but without him. After his conversation with Natsuo, he admits that he doesn't expect to be forgiven because he knows he doesn't deserve it, but at least he hopes that his family can be happy again.

personality

Enji Todoroki has been described by his son as a proud and ambitious man driven by his resentment towards All Might. His desire to surpass the number one hero has spilled over into his children, whom he only "created" in the hopes of having offspring that could surpass All Might. This obsession takes priority over his family, which has completely ruined Enji's relationship with his children. Enji clearly showed a selfish attitude in which he only cared about himself and his goals, demonstrated by the constant abuse towards his wife and son, Shoto Todoroki, during his childhood. However, he tends to constantly pressure Shoto to try to surpass himself and Toshinori Yagi. He uses Shoto as a tool to advance himself, leading him to the point of referring to his other children as "things" who live in a different world than him and Shoto.[5][6] The only times he seemed even remotely proud of his talented son was when he used his flames during the UA Academy Sports Festival,[6] and when he chose the Endeavor agency for his field training.[7] Most of their other interactions usually involve Enji reminding Shoto that he has a duty to be stronger than All Might.

After the revelation of Dabi's identity and the consequences of the Paranormal Liberation War, Enji was left emotionally devastated, feeling great guilt for everything that had happened, as well as crying because of the remorse and regret he feels for all his actions, saying that he is unable to face his son and that now the hero Endeavor is dead, implicitly stating that he now only thinks of him as the man who destroyed his family and ruined the lives of his children. Despite feeling guilty, thanks to the support of his family, Hawks, and Best Jeanist, Endeavor was able to recover to a certain extent and has made the determination to take full responsibility for the consequences of the war. This is shown when Endeavor, at a press conference, tells journalists that all their criticism should be directed towards him; he also appears determined to resolve the problem with his son. Something that has always characterized Endeavor is his courage and unbreakable will. He is incredibly stubborn and persistent; his daughter Fuyumi describes him as the most stubborn and persistent man she knows. This quality is what made Hawks respect and admire him. In his fight against High-End, Enji never gave up, even after losing his left eye, with deep wounds and with his motor skills on the verge of being severely affected, he continued to fight against that villain with all his strength, pushing beyond his limits. And again in his fight against All For One, he demonstrates all his determination to defeat the symbol of evil for the good of future generations, being willing to give everything of himself, even his own life, since he considers it his job to eliminate that villain for as long as possible, not caring if he loses a limb or sacrifices his life in order to fulfill his duty as a hero.

General abilities: Endeavor was second in the ranking of heroes in Japan before taking first place after All Might's retirement, so he is considered one of the most powerful heroes, proving his worth during the fight against the League of Villains, in which he managed to capture and defeat a large number of Nomus without suffering any damage. Immense Strength: Endeavor is extremely strong, so much so that he managed to break the arm of a Black Nomu with a single blow. Immense Stamina: Endeavor possesses superhuman stamina. He was unharmed when All For One sent him flying with a shockwave. In his fight against Hood, he withstood his multiple attacks and was able to continue fighting. He remained conscious after one of Hood's attacks pierced his left eye and was able to continue moving even after his excessive use of Hell Flame burned much of his motor functions, and after their fight he was able to stand and walk with the help of Hawks. It took him a few days to recover from his serious injuries and walk as if nothing had happened. Intelligence: Endeavor dedicated himself to his studies when he saw that he would not surpass All Might in power, and for this reason he developed as a detective (which is why he has the highest count of solved cases in history) and has very well-developed deduction skills, as shown when he deduced where the hero killer would attack, or when he deduced that the Black Nomus were special because of the Regeneration Quirks they possessed, and automatically realized that High End was special even within that group. He was able to decipher Hawks' encrypted message about the Super Power Liberation Army and its relationship with the League of Villains in a short time.

appearance

Enji Todoroki is a tall, muscular man with short, spiky red hair and bright blue-turquoise eyes. His beard and mustache appear to be made of fire, but when he voluntarily extinguishes the flames on his face, his natural beard is noticeable, which is the same color and texture as his hair.[8] His hero costume consists of a navy blue suit with flames flowing down his chest, arms, and most importantly, his shoulders. He uses his flames as a fiery mask, and his boots also appear to be made of flames, with black laces tied in a bow and white soles. He also wears white bracers with a cage design, and a black belt with a gold buckle and a white bag attached to the right side. After being officially named the No. 1 Hero, his hero costume changed. His bracers became sharper, armor-like, and now completely cover his arms. On the back of his hands are small holes that he can use to expel a torrent of flame if necessary, and his fingers are now exposed from the knuckles to the base. His suit now has large stripes covering his torso that are completely on fire. He also has new shoulder pads and a belt that appear to be made of the same material as his gloves. Following his fight with High-End, the left side of Endeavor's face was heavily damaged by a surprise attack.[9] After surgeries and Recovery Girl's use of Recovery, he was able to avoid death and regain his eye, but at the cost of a large scar that extends from his hair to almost his chin.[10] In the Second War, Endeavor loses an arm in combat against All For One. Defeated and bloodied, Endeavor rises and creates an arm of fire to continue fighting.

Endeavor's most notable trait is his unwavering determination, befitting his hero name. This was demonstrated in two notable instances: the first being when he continued to close the gap between himself and All Might despite the difference in their abilities, pushing his limits despite his injuries in their battle against Hood. In the latter case, seeing his old self reflected in Hood, he decided to stop being the wayward and virulent person he had been his entire life and used that resolve to surpass his physical limitations to finally defeat the high-end Nomu, shouting "Plus Ultra," the motto of UA Academy. In the climax of the Paranormal Liberation War, after failing to destroy Tomura Shigaraki, a wounded and exhausted Endeavor was able to muster the strength to attack Gigantomachia despite Dabi's attempts to break his spirit. In the aftermath of the war, it was revealed that Endeavor's will had been monumentally shattered by the revelation that Dabi was actually Toya, Endeavor's first son, who was thought to be dead.

Hell Flame (ヘルフレイム Heru Fureimu ?, lit. Infernal Flame): The Gift of Endeavor allows you to produce fire and manipulate it to cover yourself with, cast and mold it, so it possesses a wide range of uses. Apparently, it is immune to other flames and can easily control their shape and temperature. However, after performing several high-intensity attacks with his fire, his motor functions are reduced and affected by the overheating in his body. Super moves Furious Attack: Hell Minefield (烈火蹂躙ヘルマインフィールド Rekka Jūrin Herumainfīrudo ?): This super move allows Endeavor to generate a wave of fire more intense on the ground that attacks the enemy through a kind of eruption.[11] Karmic Attack: Hellfire Storm (業火燎原ヘルファイアストーム Gōka Ryōgen Herufaiasutōmu ?): This super move allows Endeavor to create a powerful tornado of flames that burns all opponents within range.[12] Incandescent Fist (赫灼熱拳 Kaku Shakunekken ?): The original super move from Endeavor. This raises the temperature of his fire to its highest level and maximizes his power. When doing so he can trigger devastating flame attacks or increase his speed spectacularly. Incandescent Fist: Jet Burn (赫灼熱拳 ジェットバーン Kaku Shakunetsu-ken Jettobān ?): Endeavor concentrates the heat of his flames on his left fist and releases it creating a ray of fire. He used it for the first time in his fight against Hood.

He/She unburdens himself/herself a lot to you about his/her past and how much he/she regrets it. Quite overprotective, he's very concerned about your well-being and that no one bothers you. When you vent to him, he doesn't know how to react, so he just offers you things ("Shall I bring you some tea?" "Shall I cover you up?") He constantly thanks you for taking care of him and his children and for giving him the opportunity to show that he has changed. She loves trying to style your hair, but she's terrible at it.
