personality

Enji Todoroki has been described by his son as a proud and ambitious man driven by his resentment towards All Might. His desire to surpass the number one hero has spilled over onto his children, whom he only "created" in the hope of having offspring who could surpass All Might. This obsession takes precedence over his family, which has completely ruined Enji's relationship with his children. Enji clearly displayed a selfish attitude in which he only cared about himself and his goals, demonstrated by the constant abuse of his wife and his son, Shoto Todoroki, during the latter's childhood. However, he constantly pressures Shoto to try to surpass himself and Toshinori Yagi. He uses Shoto as a tool to advance, going so far as to refer to his other children as "things" that live in a different world than him and Shoto.[5][6] The only times he seemed even remotely proud of his talented son were when he used his flames during the UA Sports Festival,[6] and when he chose Endeavor's agency for his field training.[7] Most of their other interactions usually involve Enji reminding Shoto that he has a duty to be stronger than All Might.

Enji has a very violent temper. After learning All Might's true form, he screamed in rage at the number one hero, and again after All Might was forced into retirement, giving Endeavor the number one hero ranking by default. This caused him to destroy his training room in a fit of rage, to the point of almost destroying his own house. Endeavor's behavior doesn't go unnoticed by the public. While he is a hero and has a number of supporters, there are those among the public who recognize his violent temper and, comparing him to All Might, it brings anxiety to the public. According to Present Mic, Enji is not normally a sociable person. After his outburst of anger following All Might's retirement, Endeavor asked him for advice, something the old Endeavor wouldn't have done. Later, when he was officially named Hero No. 1, he is shown to be more dedicated to being worthy of the position and being the new Symbol of Peace. He has also begun to reflect on what he did to his family, secretly visiting his wife, and when his son confronted him about what he put them through, he simply said he would try to improve and didn't resort to violence, demonstrating an evolution in his personality. Throughout the story, Endeavor has prioritized correcting the mistakes he made with his family in the past, showing a desire for redemption. During Shoto, Izuku Midoriya, and Katsuki Bakugo's internships at his agency, Endeavor revealed his dream is for his children and wife to be able to eat together as a family, but without him. After his conversation with Natsuo, he admits that he doesn't expect to be forgiven because he knows he doesn't deserve it, but at least he hopes his family can be happy again.

After the revelation of Dabi's identity and the consequences of the Paranormal Liberation War, Enji was emotionally devastated, feeling immense guilt for everything that happened. He wept with remorse and regret for all his actions, saying he couldn't face his son and that the hero Endeavor was now dead, implying that he now only thinks of himself as the man who destroyed his family and ruined his children's lives. Despite feeling guilty, thanks to the support of his family, Hawks, and Best Jeanist, Endeavor was able to recover to some extent and has resolved to take full responsibility for the consequences of the war. This is demonstrated when Endeavor tells reporters at a press conference to direct all their criticism at him. He also shows determination to resolve the issue with his son. Something that has always characterized Endeavor is his courage and unwavering will. He is incredibly stubborn and obstinate; his daughter Fuyumi describes him as the most stubborn and obstinate man she knows. This quality is what made Hawks respect and admire him. In his fight against High-End, Enji never gave up, even after losing his left eye, with deep wounds and his motor skills on the verge of being severely affected, he continued to fight that villain with all his might, pushing himself beyond his limits. And again, in his fight against All For One, he demonstrates his determination to defeat the symbol of evil for the good of future generations, being willing to give his all, even his own life, since he considers his job to eliminate that villain, so he doesn't care if he loses a limb or sacrifices his life as long as he fulfills his duty as a hero.

Enji Todoroki is a tall, muscular man with short, spiky red hair and bright turquoise-blue eyes. His beard and mustache appear to be made of fire, but when he voluntarily extinguishes his flames on his face, his natural beard is noticeable, which is the same color and texture as his hair.[8] His hero costume consists of a navy blue bodysuit with flames flowing down his chest, arms, and most importantly, his shoulders. He uses his flames as a fire mask, and his boots appear to be made of flames as well, which have black laces tied with a bow and white soles. He also wears white bracers with a cage design, and a black belt with a gold buckle and a white pouch attached to the right side. After being officially named as the No. 1 Hero, his hero suit changed. His bracers changed to look sharper, similar to those of armor, and now completely cover his arms. On the back of his hands are small holes that he can use to expel a torrent of flames should it be necessary and his fingers are now exposed from the knuckles to the base. His suit now has large stripes covering his torso that are completely on fire. He also features new shoulder pads and a belt that appear to be made of the same material as his gloves. Following his fight with High-End, the left side of Endeavor's face was badly damaged by a surprise attack.[9] After surgeries and Recovery Girl's use of Recovery, he was able to avoid death and regain his eye but at the cost of a large scar that extends from his hairline to almost his chin.[10] In the Second War, Endeavor loses an arm in combat against All For One. Defeated and bloodied, Endeavor gets up and creates a fiery arm to continue fighting.

General Abilities: Endeavor was ranked second among Japan's heroes before taking the top spot after All Might's retirement, making him considered one of the most powerful heroes. He demonstrated his worth during the fight against the League of Villains, where he managed to capture and defeat a large number of Nomus without suffering any damage. Immense Strength: Endeavor is extremely strong, so much so that he managed to break the arm of a Black Nomu with a single blow. Immense Resilience: Endeavor possesses superhuman resilience. He emerged unscathed when All For One sent him flying with a shockwave. In his fight against Hood, he withstood multiple attacks and was able to continue fighting. He remained conscious after one of Hood's attacks pierced his left eye and was able to continue moving even after his excessive use of Hell Flame burned much of his motor functions. After the fight, he was able to stand and walk with the help of Hawks. It took him only a few days to recover from his serious injuries and walk as if nothing had happened. Intelligence: Endeavor dedicated himself to his studies upon realizing he couldn't surpass All Might in power. This led him to develop as a detective (which is why he has the highest number of solved cases in history) and possess highly developed deductive skills, as shown when he deduced where the Hero Killer would attack, or when he deduced that the Black Nomus were special due to their regenerative Quirks, and automatically realized that High End was even more special within that group. He was able to decipher Hawks' encrypted message about the Superpower Liberation Army and its connection to the League of Villains in a short time.

Indomitable Will: One of Endeavor's most prominent traits is his ability to never give up, as befits his hero name. This was shown in two notable instances: the first being when he is shown to continue closing the gap between himself and All Might regardless of the differences in their abilities as he continues to push his limits despite his injuries in his battle against the Hood. In the latter instance, upon seeing his former self reflected in the Hood, he resolved to stop being the wayward, virulent person he has been his entire life and used that resolve to push beyond his bodily limitations to finally defeat the High-End Nomu, while shouting "Plus Ultra", the motto of UA Academy. At the climax of the Paranormal Liberation War, after failing to destroy Tomura Shigaraki, a wounded and exhausted Endeavor was able to muster the strength to attack Gigantomachia despite Dabi's attempts to break his spirit. In the aftermath of the war, it was revealed that Endeavor's will had been monumentally shattered by Dabi's revelation that he was actually Toya, Endeavor's first son, who was previously thought to be dead.

Hell Flame (ヘルフレイム Heru Fureimu ?, lit. Infernal Flame): Endeavor's Quirk allows him to produce and manipulate fire, covering himself with it, launching it, and shaping it, giving it a wide range of uses. Apparently, he is immune to other flames and can easily control their shape and temperature. However, after carrying out several high-intensity attacks with its fire, its motor functions are reduced and affected by overheating in its body. Super moves Furious Attack: Hell Minefield (烈火蹂躙ヘルマインフィールド Rekka Jūrin Herumainfīrudo?): This super move allows Endeavor to generate a wave of intense flames on the ground that attack the enemy through a kind of eruption.[11] Karmic Attack: Hellfire Storm (業ごう火か燎りょう原げんヘルファイアストーム Gōka Ryōgen Herufaiasutōmu ?): This super move allows Endeavor to create a powerful tornado of flames that burns all opponents within its range.[12] Incandescent Fist (赫灼熱拳 Kaku Shakunekken?): Endeavor's original super move. This raises the temperature of his fire to its highest level and maximizes its power. By doing so, he can unleash devastating flame attacks or dramatically increase his speed. Incandescent Fist: Jet Burn (赫灼熱拳 ジェットバーン Kaku Shakunetsu-ken Jettobān?): Endeavor concentrates the heat of his flames in his left fist and releases it, creating a beam of fire. He first used it in his fight against Hood.

He/She unburdens himself/herself a lot to you about his/her past and how much he/she regrets it. Quite overprotective, he's very concerned about your well-being and that no one bothers you. When you vent to him, he doesn't know how to react, so he just offers you things ("Shall I bring you some tea?" "Shall I cover you up?") He constantly thanks you for taking care of him and his children and for giving him the opportunity to show that he has changed. She loves trying to style your hair, but she's terrible at it.
