The following section contains an overview based on canon information. Please note that some information may be missing as it may not have been provided from official sources. See the given references for further information. Fiona was born to an unhappy husband and wife. During her youth, they would divorce, with Fiona's father leaving the two. Fiona's mother would try to encourage her to be anything but what her father was like, telling her not to indulge in the fantastical. Fiona, however, was naturally drawn to occultism. At some point, she would receive a letter telling her to head east and explore the world and to go to the land of gold. During this, Fiona's mother would try and educate her. Fiona found her mother's expectations daunting, self describing herself as "dim-witted". Another letter would arrive, this time with a ticket to Calcutta. Fiona would travel there, much to her mother's disappointment. At some point, Fiona would hire Arthur Russell to investigate Lakeside Village, learning about the religious activities, the disappearances, and about the neighboring cave. Using this information, she would make her way to the location to participate in a "Jamboree". Fiona would be the 3rd participant to arrive. The identities of those who arrived before her are currently unknown. Fiona was being investigated by one of the participants who attempted to track her. Fiona would disappear in the afternoon, seemingly into thin air according to her investigator. She would then reappear at dusk with a notable foul smell, despite her clothing appearing clean. Some time later, two more participants would arrive, a biologist named Luchino Diruse and another participant who refused to give his name, only referring to himself as a writer. Fiona and the writer would hit it off, talking to each other in an unknown language. After the 2nd participant was killed, Fiona would show more interest in the writer and Lakeside Village.
