Appearance

Doma was a Demon who maintained part of his human traits with slight subtle differences; Standing out is his moderate musculature, his pale blue nails which are long and pointed, his pale skin, and thick black eyebrows [4]. His hair could appear silver [5] or pale golden blonde [6]. It was shorter to the left and the rest extended to the right, in addition several uneven strands expanded in both directions. Part of his hair fell forward, covering part of his forehead and leaving both his eyes and eyebrows visible. He used to wear his hair down and the ends of it would fall down his back in a spiral-like shape [4]. Personality

Doma may have appeared to be a friendly and charismatic individual, but far from reality, he was a deadly and calculating being. Believing that he was saving them from their suffering, he happily devoured his followers and other young women. While he might appear to care for his comrades, he felt no genuine sorrow for their deaths. He was quite nihilistic and lacked human emotion, admitting that even during his human days, the entire concept of emotion was completely foreign to him. Aware that this was abnormal, he made up for his empty "heart" with lies, learning to fake his emotions enough to fool all but the most keen observers.[10] He is shown to be a psychopath, lacking empathy even for his dying parents, complaining about the smell of blood they gave off. Synopsis

Demon Train Arc: In the anime adaptation of this story arc, Doma along with the other Upper Moons appears in the last memories of Enmu, the first Lower Moon before she died, remembering all her frustration at not being able to live up to the strongest Demons that served. to Muzan. Entertainment District Arc: Tanjiro along with Inosuke Hashibira and Zenitsu Agatsuma accompany the Pillar of Sound, Tengen Uzui, on a mission to the Yoshiwara District to help him in the search for his missing wives who were investigating rumors of demons in the place [1]. At the location, a confrontation takes place against two members of the Twelve Demonic Moons, Gyutaro[2] and Daki[3]. After the fight, both demons are defeated [4] and on the verge of death, Gyutaro begins to remember his past [5]. During his days as a human, Gyutaro dedicated himself to working as a collector since people feared him due to his appearance [6]. One day, while returning home from work, he finds the body of his sister, Daki, completely cremated after being punished for wounding a samurai. After hours of searching in an attempt to help his sister, he falls unconscious to the ground. At that moment, a member of the Twelve Demonic Moons who turns out to be Doma, who at that time was the Sixth Higher Moon appears before him and offers to give them blood to save them both on the condition that they become demons and aspire to reach occupy a position among the superior demons[7].

Due to the loss of two members of the Twelve Demon Moons, the rest are summoned to the Infinite Dimensional Fortress[8]. Inside the fortress, several members are already waiting for their leader. Akaza speaks with Nakime to inquire about the whereabouts of Upper Moon One but their conversation is interrupted when Doma arrives on the scene and places his arm around him causing Akaza to become upset. Doma questions Akaza for his lack of concern for him and mentions that he was worried about his comrades all along[9]. Gyokko greets Doma, who tells him that he decorated the vase he received as a gift with the head of a young girl. Akaza asks Doma to move his arm, but when he doesn't get an immediate response, he proceeds to hit his face. Doma loses part of his jaw, but quickly regenerates it and congratulates his partner on the great blow he landed. Nakime interrupts the two, revealing that Upper Moon One was the first to arrive at the fortress and the entire time he was sitting silently in another part of the room. Muzan is disappointed at how incapable and weak his subordinates are; he orders them all to begin serving with much greater devotion to his cause and even if that involves suicide. Before ending the meeting, Muzan gives Gyokko an important mission and Doma tries to obtain information to accompany him. Akaza becomes angry with his companion's intentions and, with a simple blow, cuts off half of his companion's head for trying to go on a mission to which he was not assigned [12]. At the same time that he cut off the head of his partner, Kokushibo, she punishes him by cutting off his hand for going against the hierarchy they follow. Doma tries to calm his partner down, claiming that he is not upset with what happened. Kokushibo adds that if Akaza wishes to occupy a higher position, he recommends that he face Doma to the death; The latter interrupts by assuring that there is no way for Akaza to win since he is superior to him in many ways[13]. After Kokushibo leaves the room, Doma says goodbye to him and tries to start a conversation with Akaza but he leaves, leaving him alone. Gyokko prepares to go on his mission and Doma tries to go with him again but Nakime blows his biwa, interrupting his intentions. Left alone, he tries to invite Nakime but she doesn't allow him to finish and rejects her invitation [14]. Later, Doma moves to his house and feels sad at the cold attitude of his colleagues. At that moment, one of his subordinates introduces himself and mentions that his followers have arrived at the place and are waiting for him. Upon the arrival of his followers, he proceeds to put on a large black crown and prepares to welcome them [15].

Infinite Dimensional Fortress Arc: Some time later, the Demon Extermination Corps begins the attack on the Infinite Dimensional Fortress in order to finish off Muzan[16]. All the hunters were distributed in different points of the fortress[17]. Shinobu Kochō walks through the hallways trying to discover where he is when he begins to smell a strong smell of blood. He decides to enter the room where said smell comes from [18]. Shinobu slowly opens one of the doors of the many rooms of the fortress and ends up finding Doma surrounded by several bodies of dead women and he eating one of them. Doma notices his presence and is happy to see that his opponent is a woman [19]. Shinobu looks angrily at the scene and begins to remember the death of her sister who described the demon responsible for the attack as one with blood stains on its head, with a carefree smile and who has the habit of addressing others with a gentle and calm tone. . While Shinobu is still in shock, Doma appears before her but is interrupted by one of the women who survived her attack. Doma seems a little upset and asks the young woman to keep quiet about her as she tries to talk to the newcomer. Doma then tries to kill her but Shinobu manages to save her [20].

Immediately, Doma notices that her speed is not normal for a hunter and asks if she is a pillar. Shinobu does not seem to pay attention to her and focuses on the young girl she just saved, however, she ends up dying dismembered in her arms. Doma tries to start a new conversation but Shinobu is still in shock from what happened. [21] Shinobu, still remembering her sister, turns her gaze to Doma and recognizes him as the demon responsible for her death. Doma continues his introduction and reveals himself to be the founder of the Eternal Paradise Cult, and as part of his job is to make everyone happy, he takes it upon himself to eat anyone who asks him for help. Shinobu does not understand the purpose of his job. Doma goes on to explain that by eating them, humans stop feeling pain and any kind of suffering; since they fear death, by carrying out his job, he can allow them to live forever by being a part of it. Shinobu becomes angry at Doma's crazy ideas.[22] Doma doesn't understand why he's suddenly hostile, since they've only just met, and suggests that Shinobu listen to all of his problems so that he can get over his anger. Shinobu boils with rage as he claims that Doma is his sister's murderer; Shinobu looks at her haori and remembers a young girl who used Flower Breathing. He confesses that he didn't have the chance to eat her at the time because the sun was rising and that he always wished he could eat her. Shinobu doesn't let him continue talking and stabs his eye with her sword. [23]

Doma is surprised by the attack and congratulates her since she was not able to dodge it in time. Doma explains to Shinobu that, if she wants to kill him, she should aim for his neck and not just stab him. Shinobu is sure she can't kill him with simple stabs but he can do it with poison. Immediately afterwards, Doma falls to his knees to the ground while his body begins to turn purple from the effects of the poison. Shinobu doesn't feel sure the poison will work on a higher moon like him.[25]

Doma begins vomiting a large amount of blood and claims that the poison used this time is even stronger than the one used during the fight against Rui. Doma retracts the latter while she laughs. Shinobu begins to cry helplessly realizing that her efforts were in vain and she wishes she could have a body that would help her defeat a demon like Doma [30]. Shinobu continues to lament and almost losing any hope of victory, the spirit of her sister helps her gain strength. Meanwhile, Doma apologizes to her for the careless wound he inflicted on her. Shinobu decides to stand up again and prepares to continue the battle despite her loss of blood. Doma is surprised by the resistance she possesses and doubts that she possesses human abilities since the wound she has is mortal. She adds that she should stop being stubborn and deserves to be saved. Ignoring the demon's words, Shinobu attacks using Insect Breath, Centipede Dance: Hundred-Legged Zigzag, managing to stab him and send him flying towards the ceiling[31].

When it seems that he has triumphed, Doma quickly recovers and as Shinobu falls to the ground, he puts his arms around her and congratulates her on all the effort she has put into the fight and assures her that she will live peacefully as a part of him.
