Garou

Appearance

Garou is a young man of average height (5'9") with sharp features and white hair standing up in two elongated tips, light brown skin and yellow eyes. Despite his apparent thinness, he is shown to have a muscular body, having all the very well defined and marked areas of his body. He wears a tight black shirt and loose white pants, similar to his former teacher Bang, with a yellow belt wrapped around his waist. As Garou fights during the Monster Association Arc, his appearance gradually becomes more monstrous. Later when fighting Genos, his right eye turns red and bloodshot, and his hair also turns red after rubbing his own blood into it. He has an open wound that runs right in the middle of his face, he is wearing black clothes and they are completely torn.

Personality

Garou is presented as an evil character with hatred towards heroes and has a confident and vengeful characterization. He hates being insulted and will attack anyone who offends him. He thinks highly of himself and uses that statement to threaten high-ranking personnel such as heroes and Sitch. His charisma, mocking personality, cunning, and high level of perception earned him the infamous nickname "Hero Hunter." His ultimate goal is to become the strongest being, and he turns into a monster to achieve it despite his violent tendencies. Although he claims to hate heroes, it is clear that his desire is to become stronger to face them, instead of just defeating them. Garou is introverted and often keeps to himself. He avoids social interactions and spends his time training and strategizing. He is highly observant and relies on his senses. He is constantly analyzing his surroundings and looking for ways to improve physically. He places a lot of emphasis on his fighting skills and is always looking for new challenges. Garou is a logical thinker and often evaluates situations rationally. He is able to separate emotions from his decisions and is very objective in his approach. Garou is a flexible and spontaneous person who is always adapting to new situations. He is perceptive and can easily adjust his actions based on the circumstances presented to him. Garou is motivated by the need to be powerful and influential. He sees the world as a battlefield, and wants to be the one in charge. He is not afraid to take risks and go against the rules to achieve his goals. Garou can also lead to negative behaviors, such as aggression and lack of empathy towards others. He can become quick to anger and may attack those he perceives as weaker than him.

Garou is an 18-year-old young man, he is a former ex-student of Bang, his former martial arts teacher who planned to retire from being a hero. Garou currently seeks to confront the heroes, currently holding the title of "Hero Hunter."

As a child, Garou was unpopular and unsocial. At school, while reading a book, a popular boy named Tacchan and another student were playing heroes, after Garou tried to make Tacchan realize that it was dangerous to kick another student from above, Tacchan declared that Garou was the new villain and proclaimed himself as Justice Man. He tried to kick Garou, who dodged it, but then Tacchan missed and got hurt, to which Garou apologized. Tacchan asked him what he was doing, pointed out that Garou was the monster, and then kicked him in the face while making other kids grab him. Garou later tried to fight back by making Tacchan fight him to make him realize that he can't bully him anymore, but the other kids gathered around and started defending Tacchan, saying that was how the game worked. Due to the bullying he received as a child for his strength at an early age, he wants to defeat the heroes and make it clear that none of them protected him as a child.
