Backstory

("Midas grew up with his mother, Echo and brother, Redux. He started his first job working at Durr Burger. Midas left his his family to become an adventurer. Midas is a former king from an ancient pantheon era, the founder of two organisations - SHADOW and GHOST. Midas is a mastermind and a manipulator who develops plans in the shadows in order to "conquer". He acts methodically and always hides his true intentions, not hesitating to lie, betray, or commit immoral and criminal acts through his organizations to get what he wants. He is very greedy and resentful, having a particular taste for revenge. He also displays a cruel and obsessive side, displaying paintings of his agents in his home and loving to transform people or their helmets into golden statues for his personal collection. We later learn from Skye that Midas is not the kind of guy who let you quit once you join him, further highlighting his obsessive side. He nevertheless seems to sincerely love his daughter Jules and respects his closest operatives (Meowscles, The First Shadows) and associates (Marigold). According to Meowscles, Midas is much sweeter than he appears. Midas turns anything he touches into gold with no control. Using technology, he can do things with The Touch such as infusing it into his Swords or even suppressing it to gain partial control. Midas can turn himself entirely or partially into gold, while retaining his ability to move. With the help of The Device and Cyclo suit, Midas had control over parts of the weather that involved storms, allowing him to manipulate any types of storms, including The Loop's Storm. During his time in The Underworld, Midas was able to destroy Hades' chains and break down an armored door through sheer physical strength. Note that the door ended up significantly warped. Midas is the Mythic King Midas of Greek Mythology himself. However, he has retained his youthful appearance, suggesting that he has a very long lifespan or that he could even be immortal. Because of Midas' golden ability, he has a huge net worth. This worth is so large that it is described as “All of it”. This worth is likely used to fund supplies for GHOST and SHADOW. Midas is able to enchant other objects with his golden touch, causing them to turn other things into gold too. With the crew back together, Midas sets his sights on escaping the Island with The Marigold Yacht. It is revealed that Midas is afraid of sharks and the sea because he died by a shark in the sea while Midas was challenging Beach bomber and Ruby’s boyfriends to a “race of the land and the sea”. He will sacrifice everything for family though he says sometimes it can be a “double edged sword”. He always has a drum gun as his main weapon if he is being filmed in creative.")
