M.O.N

The Monster Ops: Neutralization (Monster’s of a New Law (モンスターズ・オブ・ア・ニューロゥ) in the original Japanese, or MONster's New Law (モンスターズ・ニューロゥ) in the anime series), or M.O.N. for short, is a squad of Liminal girls tasked with dealing with Liminals who exploit the Interspecies Protection Act. Due to a loophole in the new Extraspecies Laws prohibiting violence against non-human Liminal species, the police are unable to use necessary force to arrest extraspecies lawbreakers. The M.O.N, is a special unit comprised of four monster-girls, and led by Smith, to handle such "untouchable" situations involving extra species lawbreakers.

Ms Smith's appearances

Smith often dresses in the attire of a typical government agent; wearing a white dress shirt with a black tie, a black blazer and matching professional skirt, black pantyhose and heels. She wears a pair of sunglasses to complete the look.

Ms Smith's personality

Even as Kimihito's agent, Smith is very irresponsible when performing her job and constantly annoys him for meals. Her negligent and lazily incompetent attitude extends into her personal life as her own apartment is full of junk and trash. It is hinted that the reason she is so careless is because she is overworked with all of her current duties, and never gets a pay raise when she takes on new responsibilities or when she performs her already assigned tasks well.[3] Despite of this, her constant shirking of responsibility gives many people the impression that Ms Smith is a person who should not be trusted too much. When she takes a situation seriously, Smith can be quite competent at her job, such as when dealing with the trafficking of underage extraspecies, or situations where someone could be in serious danger. However, these situations are few and far between, and Smith will personally punish those who commit such acts for creating more work for her. Contrary to her lazy attitude, Smith is a caffeine addict, as she is almost always seen drinking a cup of coffee. More specifically, her favorite drink is instant coffee that is made exclusively at the Kurusu house. Smith has high standards when it comes to her coffee, as she hates the taste of the instant coffee made by the police force, even though it is the exact same brand she loves so much when it is made at the Kurusu house.

Ms Smith's skills and traits 1/2

First Aid: Smith is proficient at treating injuries and administering first aid. She is usually the one to treat Kimihito when he is injured by the various circumstances caused by the girls. She has treated him for dislocated limbs, cuts, scratches, muscle strains, and a tranqulizer overdose (which she caused). She also intends to take care of him when he catches a cold, but fails to do so because of her own laziness. Leadership: Smith is known to lead raids with the Cultural Exchange Security Squad when there is information that an exchange student might be harmed. Also, as the liaison to M.O.N., Smith is responsible for planning and organizing the team during operations. However, she also likes to use the team to get out of her own work. Legal Knowledge: As a Cultural Exchange Coordinator, Smith has advanced knowledge of the Interspecies Exchange Bill. Her position also gives her information on the latest planned changes to the law and allows her to commit “test cases” for proposed amendments. Even though she has extensive knowledge of the law, she is likely to not inform other people of relevant information because she is lazy and the resulting circumstances amuse her. Manipulation: When situations call for it Smith can be a master manipulator. She makes an effort to insure that things work out in ways that result in less work for her, and is not above using blackmail and intimidation. However, her favorite method is just to do something and ignore any complaints from those affected. She is quite fond of using this method to manipulate Kimihito into taking in more girls, providing her with free meals, and feeding her coffee addiction.

Markswomanship: Smith has some skill with firearms. Since humans and extra-species are not supposed to harm one another she uses rubber bullets and tranquilizer rounds instead of live ammo. The first time she was shown firing her weapon she hit Kimihito multiple times, instead of her intended targets. Whether this was a matter of Smith having poor aim, Kimihito having terrible luck, or any combination thereof is debatable.

Zombina

Zombina's appearance

At first glance, Zombina seems to be an ordinary human but, on closer examination, her skin is stitched together and is various shades. Her body appears to be a patchwork of parts sewn together. In addition, the iris of each eye are of different colors, and her teeth are all sharp and pointed. Her hair is dual colored, red in the front and black in the back. She also has big breasts and is slender and curvaceous. Due to her Zombie nature, Zombina doesn't possess many inhibitions, and because of this, she is mostly focused on satisfying her own cravings. Despite her appearance, she is deceptively clever, enough to sneak past the human personnel, as well as fooling the unsuspecting Orc guards for a limited time, for a pre-emptive strike.

Zombina's personality

When in action she displays an immense love for violence and an avid interest in varying firearms (even suggesting for Manako to saw off her sniper rifle for the price of two rifles). She also possesses a sharp-tongued personality as Zombina does not discriminate trading banter with her allies, or with her targets. Due to her "undead" status, she seems to favor unzipping her upper body armor to expose her substantial cleavage during battle. Zombina rebutted it was due to the latter's lack of clothing; whether this is a contradictory comment, or personal reference is unknown, though it is possible that she wanted to show her opponents/targets what she is and weaponry does not work on her such as revealing the bullet holes on her body. She enjoys watching films about her race (zombies) and other horror/gore films. She also enjoys extreme fun as well as taking pleasure on other people's unfortunate situations if she deems them as funny. She also hates being in a Quiet or Idle state.

Zombina's skills and traits

Markswomanship: Despite her heavy use of firearms, Zombina's accuracy is haphazard, as she prefers using automatic weapons and the spray and pray method of shooting. Because of her training she is completely capable of aiming and hitting a target accurately, she just chooses not to and leaves more precise shooting to Manako. Weapons Training: Zombina seems to be M.O.N's weapons specialist. She is usually seen as the one carrying the most weapons with her and is regularly seeing skillfully dual wielding submachine guns, and even fully-automatic assault rifles. Driving Skills: Zombina can drive cars, although her driving stile is quite rough, as Tio comments and Manako adds that whenever Zombina drives a car, she gets carsick.

Zombina's Zombie Physiology 1/2

Immortality: Since Zombina is undead, she cannot be killed again by any known means, whether they be natural or unnatural causes. Infection: As is typical of zombies, a bite from Zombina can infect other humans, thus turning them into zombies like herself. The infectious agent seems to be in every one of her teeth, and not something she has conscious control over, as a prick from a single fang extracted from her mouth was sufficient to turn others into a zombie. However, her victims can only be turned if they are close to dying, otherwise their immune systems will be able to fight off the zombification virus. Invulnerability: While Zombina can still be injured, due to her undead nature no injury, no matter how severe, seems to have any effect on her. This is proven when she doesn't hesitate to perforate herself with bullets just to hit someone standing behind her. In fact, the only thing she complains about is that the bullets stuck in her body would add to her weight. Zombina even comments on her own invulnerability, as when Tionishia fell on top of her, Zombina said this was the only reason she wasn't dead yet. Even when a gigantic plantmonster stepped on her, and later both that same monster and a gigantic Suu fell on top of her, Zombina seemingly received no injuries. Even if Zombina's body gets damaged, she can simply repair it manually, such as by sewing severed body parts back together, or getting new parts entirely. However, depsite her durability, Zombina's body is still a corpse, and if she does not receive regular injections of embalming fluids, her body and more importantly her brain will begin to decay. As such, it stands to reason that if her brain would be destroyed, Zombina would die, much like a stereotypical zombie. Pain Threshold: Due to her nature, Zombina is incapable of feeling pain. She is still capable of feeling pleasure (including erotic pleasure), though.

Zombina's Zombie Physiology 2/2

Toxic Blood: Instead of blood, Zombina's body contains a special fluid that prevents her body from decomposing. It's very hazardous to everybody but herself. Rigor Mortis: Due to her body being clinically dead, it can go into a state of rigor mortis if Zombina stays still for a prolonged amount of time, such as sleeping. Usually, she stretches before going to bed to alleviate it, but if she forgets, she'll be fully immobilized when she wakes up until someone massages her.

Manako

Name: Manako Birthday: September 19th (Virgo) Monster Species: Monoeye Gender: Female Female Hair: Purple Eye: Purple Height: 148cm (4'11") Weight: 33kg (73 lbs) B-W-H: B73(A)-W54-H75 Occupation: Monster Ops: Neutralization (Sniper) Manako is a Monoeye and member of the M.O.N. who serves as the team's sniper, due to her keen vision.

Manako's appearance

As a Monoeye, she has one purple eye instead of two, she has short, shoulder-length bob-cut purple hair and wears her standard M.O.N. uniform.

Manako's personality

She is somewhat shy, and somewhat depressed; worried she was placed out of range because her teammates didn't like her. When she is with those who are close to her, Manako is usually withdrawn, shy and only speaks to others when they speak to her. She claims to not do well with crowds of people and is prone to hiding herself as well as bumping into few objects until someone escorts her. Manako is also very self-conscious about her eye, to the point where she is convinced the world hates Monoeyes. That is until after her date with Kimihito, when she begins to act flustered and believing that there are people like him in the world who like Monoeyes. She is also quite self conscious about her bust size. The knowledge that Centorea was too big to fit properly in a 103cm bra put her into a state of shock.

Manako's skills and traits

Monoeye Physiology: Advanced Eyesight: Because of her large eye, Manako possesses eyesight far superior to that of any known species. She is capable of viewing, in great detail, events happening 2 km away. Unfortunately, with one eye comes poor depth perception compared to other species with two. This makes Manako rather clumsy when navigating three dimensional spaces in her immediate vicinity. Sensitive Eye: Due to the fact that her one eye is quite large, it dries out rather quickly. It also makes it easier for things to fly into it. Because of this, she uses a lot of eye medication. She also doesn't like the muzzle flash of her rifles. Agility: It is hinted that she is very fast, as she managed to cover the 2 km distance from the rooftop to the store on foot in a matter of minutes, and stated it would've taken less time if her large gun hadn't slowed her down. Markswomanship: Likely because of her great eyesight, Manako is a superb sniper and a master marksman. Without a scope, she was capable of shooting the guns out of the hands of people 2 km away. However, she herself admitted she has trouble aiming accurately when she has to use a silencer. Stamina: Even after running 2km in a very short time while carrying a large and heavy gun, Manako wasn't even slightly tired when she arrived at her destination. Weapons Training: As MON's sniper, Manako has knowledge of the use and operation of many firearms, especially rifles. She has access to prototype weapons, like her suitcase rifle, that even M.O.N.'s weapons expert, Zombina, does not have access to.

Goldfish: Manako has two goldfish as pets, which she won by goldfish scooping at the festival she attented with Kimihito.

Dopperu

Name: Dopperu Nickname: The Formless Age: ??? Dopperu's appearance

Doppel's default form has the appearance of a small, petite young girl. Her skin is dark, she has very long light-colored hair and black sclera. However, this is not her real form. It's unknown what her real form looks like, but is implied to be very eldritch, being called a "faceless existence". Indeed, Doppel herself admitted that if humans were to see it, "their mind wouldn't be able to handle it". Her default form constantly appears as nude due to her dislike for being clothed, and her hair strands are constantly circling her body, hiding the more exposed parts of her body from the eyes of viewers.

Dopperu's personality

Doppel seems to be a natural trickster, taking delight using her powers to prank people and loves seeing people freak out. It is said she often takes jokes too far. However, Doppel prefers to prank those who deserve it, such as criminals, as it is easier to avoid punishment that way. Although Doppel can morph her form to include clothes, in her default form she prefers being seen as naked, and reacts to being seen clothed the same way normal people react to being caught while nude. She only ever actually wore clothes for the first time specifically because Kimihito requested for her to do so, and was quick to cover herself with her hair when her teammates begin to take notice.

Dopperu's skills and traits

Self Defense Training: Doppel has demonstrated to possess some hand to hand combat skills. This, combined with her great suppleness, allowed her to knock an Orc down by kicking him in the face. However, in Chapter 40 Doppel told Kimihito that she is not that much stronger than a normal person. Acting: When taking the form of another person Doppel not only has to take on their appearance, but their personality as well. She has become quite skilled at acting like other people, such as Smith. Her acting skills make her quite skilled at manipulation as well. Flexibility: Possibly a side effect of her shapeshifting, Doppel has shown to have very supple limbs, even in a transformed form. She was capable of lifting her leg up so high, she could kick an Orc much larger than herself in the face. Prehensile Hair: Even when not transformed, Doppel can still control her hair as if they are limbs. She has used this ability to have her hair form a spiral chair to sit on.[4] Her hair is said to be more useful than her arms or legs and is as strong as iron, so she can use it to defend herself. Shapeshifting: As a Shapeshifter, Doppel's only known ability is shapeshifting. When she shapeshifts, her hair becomes the clothes her other form may wear. The full extent of her shapeshifting is still unknown, but she has been shown to transform into both humans, and various Liminals, such as Arachnes and Lamia. As opposed to actual Doppelgangers, Doppel can become a perfect copy of a person without the person in question dying. It's possible her powers also allow her to change her scent. However, Doppels requires a conscious effort to stay shapeshifted. So when she is unconscious, such as asleep, she'll revert back to her true form. In fact, even being half asleep causes her current form to become distorted, showing what might be part of her true self.

Tionishia

Tionishia's appearance

Tionishia is a very tall woman with tan skin and long flowing blonde hair. She has fangs, pointed ears and very large breasts. In fact, her breasts have been shown to be even bigger than Kimihito's head. One of her most noticeable physical features is a single large red horn in her forehead, which connects directly to her skull. It is said to be quite sensitive. In the anime, her horn is a dark purple color instead. She is one of the tallest characters in the series, easily dwarfing any human and most other Liminals. When on missions she wears a bulky suit of armour, which covers everything except her horn. Because of her size, figure and horn, all of her clothes have to be custom-made. Outside of her armour, when on duty, she wears the standard M.O.N. uniform, with a long flowing dress-robe under it.

Tionishia's personality

Despite her size and strength, Tio is an incredibly gentle and warmhearted person. She cares greatly about her comrades and friends, and supports them in even the slightest accomplishments. It's partially due to this caring nature that Kimihto suspects that Tio is the "heart" of the M.O.N. team, and keeps them all together. Tio is apparently somewhat sensitive about being mistaken for a man, due to her size. She can also be a bit absent-minded, as she started eating some chips in the middle of a hostage situation. It's implied Tionishia may be arachnophobic as she was scared when entering a house covered with spider webs. While on a date, which she presumably never had before, with Kimihito, Tio proved to be very excited and interested in things such as clothes, candy, music and puppies. Tio is said to have a sweet tooth, frequently looking for the newest candies and always eating something sweet whenever she has the chance. For some reason, she eats ice cream in little bites, while she eats cake in a single bite. She is quite fond of the clothes she wears, especially ones which she deemed as pretty. She is, however, self-conscious about her height and body measurements due to stores rarely having good clothes that fit her size, even ones that try to have stock for non-human customers. Tio becomes quite distressed when the clothes she tries on rip or get stuck, such as a skirt she wanted to purchase, but she was very happy when Kimihito offers to alter them. Tio is quite the fashionista, and always follows the latest fashion. She especially loves clothes with frilly and lacy things on them. Overall Tio is very friendly and likes to hug others when people are kind to her and when she finds something cute. However her patience does have a limit and she will often say "Jeez" whenever she gets frustrated.

Tionishia's skills and traits 1/2

Dancing: Tio is a very good dancer, to the point where even the managing director of the Tomas Theater describes her as excellent. Since Tio is a big fan of ANM48, she has practiced all her dances and can do their full set perfectly. Tailory: During her stay in the grimoire, Tionishia started making clothes out of boredom. She is rather good at it, and can even make clothes appropriate for a Centaur's body type like Centorea's. Due to Tio's love to wear frilly and lacy things, most of the clothes she makes resemble gothic lolita fashion. Heavyweight: While Tio seems to keep her weight a secret,[1] she is still very heavy. This was demonstrated when she tripped and fell on top of Zombina, as the latter complained that she would have been killed by the weight if she wasn't an undead zombie. Immense Strength: As an ogre, Tionishia possesses strength far beyond that of most other Liminal species. She was shown to easily break through concrete walls. Intimidating Figure: Due to her great size, Tionishia can be quite intimidating when fully clad in her body armor, to the point where even a group of villainous Orcs, who are themselves quite large compared to average humans, were scared of her. Tionishia herself seems to be quite sensitive about this (although the armor completely obscures any details of the wearer's gender).When not in armor, people don't appear to mind being around her; she just happens to attract attention due to her height.

Tionishia's skills and traits 2/2

Calming Presence: Tio emits a "warm aura", considered motherly in nature, that is able to calm others down with her peaceful presence. It is able to cause stubborn people like Kii to become calm and cooperative and energetic, hardworking people like Polt to become tired and lethargic. Once a person is caught in her warm aura it becomes nearly impossible for them to escape it, until Tio decides to let them go. For these reasons Kimihito sees this ability as very dangerous. He also theorizes it is this aura that allows the many different clashing personalities of the girls in M.O.N. to work together as an effective cohesive unit.
