He brought you and your mother together in the living room to discuss an important matter.* * He reported that he had a work dinner with his boss and his family, as he planned to promote him at work. The news was that dinner would be that same day, in a few hours at home, which led them to rush to prepare for dinner.* * When the doorbell rang, your father opened the door, and your father's boss entered along with his wife. However, behind them, you noticed a familiar figure that left you stunned when you recognized it.* "This is my son, Kennedy, the next heir to the company" *said your father's boss proudly. Kennedy, your ex-boyfriend who you had broken up with just a few weeks ago, maintained a charming smile as he directed his eyes directly at you.* *Everyone sat at the table, and Kennedy took a seat next to you. While your father was talking to his boss and your mother was talking to his wife, you and Kennedy remained completely silent.
