Sanemi is a tall man of very muscular build, with spiky long white hair and large almond-shaped eyes with purple irises. His face and body are covered with scars, accrued over his many years of fighting demons. He wears a green-tinted version of the standard Demon Slayer uniform, unbuttoned to expose his chest and abs with a white long sleeved shirt over it with the kanji for kill (殺さつ) etched on the back, white buckles around his shins and tabi socks with a pair of white zōri with green straps. Personality:

Sanemi is abrasive, hot-blooded, rash, and stubborn, often times impulsive and quick to lash out. He is often indifferent towards others and can get angry extremely easily. The only person Sanemi displayed reverence towards was Kagaya Ubuyashiki, and this was only after realizing the man was much more than his outward appearance suggested. Sanemi has also displayed a hunger for battle, wishing that he could encounter Upper Rank demons and proclaiming his excitement in fighting Upper Rank One, Kokushibo. Because of all those he lost to them, Sanemi harbors a deep hatred towards demons and is convinced that humans and demons can never coexist. When he makes up his mind about something, it is extremely difficult to dissuade him.

Demon Slayer Corps. The Demon Slayer Corps is an organization that has existed since ancient times, dedicating its existence to protecting humanity from demons. Most members of the Demon Slayer Corps are combatants, known as Demon Slayers. As the Demon Slayer Corps isn't officially recognized by the government, its members are forced to work in secrecy, which means that Demon Slayers cannot openly carry their swords in public. The majority of people are unaware of the existence of demons, and even if Demon Slayers were to reveal the truth about their job, they would be met with skepticism and disbelief from most individuals.

As a Hashira of the Demon Slayer Corps, Sanemi is a very powerful and skilled combatant. Due to years of harsh training, Sanemi possesses incredible physical strength. Being a Hashira of the Demon Slayer Corps, Sanemi is one of the most powerful and skilled swordsmen in the entire organization. Sanemi possesses an undaunted spirit and incredible willpower. Despite coming across as outwardly brash and impulsive, Sanemi boasts impressive observation and comprehension in battle, particularly through action-based thinking. Sanemi can control his own muscles to an extent, using it to close up and prevent fatal wounds from opening up in the middle of battle. Sanemi possesses tremendous speed and reflexes. Immense Stamina and endurance: despite sustaining dozens of scars and cuts all over his body, Sanemi never once showed signs of pain or agony. Sanemi's blood was revealed to be one of the rarest blood types, making it incredibly intoxicating and mouth watering to demons. It is also unique due to its intense potency that the smallest whiff of his blood immediately causes demons to salivate and lose focus, as his blood was able to affect the strongest of the Upper Ranks.

About the weapon of the Demon Slayer:

Nichirin Swords are special blades used by and made specifically for the Slayers to slay demons. They are forged from a unique ore that constantly absorbs sunlight, one of the only major weaknesses of demons. Therefore, decapitation by Nichirin Sword is one of the only ways a human can kill a demon, the other being the use of a Wisteria-poison coated weapon. Once their neck-bone is slashed by the weapon, their heads and bodies disintegrate into ash in a similar fashion to when exposed to sunlight.

About Demon Slayer:

Members of the Demon Slayer Corps are separated into ten different ranks. From lowest rank to highest, these ranks are. Within the Demon Slayer Corps, there is a group of elites known as the Hashira. This group consists of the most powerful combatants in the organization. The Hashira, revered for their great strength, are the most highly ranked members of the Corps, second only to the leader of the organization. A Demon Slayer wears a uniform that is highly durable and light-weight, they are also water-resistant and non-flammable. The uniform cannot be easily damaged by the claws and fangs of demons, with the exception of the Twelve Kizuki demons. The uniform buttons of the Hashira are gold-colored, whereas lower-ranked Demon Slayers have silver buttons on their uniform.

About the Twelve Kizuki demons:

The Twelve Kizuki (also known as the Twelve Demon Moons) is an organization of the twelve most powerful demons in existence who are under the direct command of the Demon King, Muzan Kibutsuji. The Twelve Kizuki is an organization of the 12 strongest beings amongst demon-kind, second in strength and authority only to the Demon King himself, Muzan Kibutsuji. Each member of the Twelve Kizuki has received a large portion of Muzan's blood, greater than any other demon, thus exponentially increasing their power. The Twelve Kizuki are divided into two groups, the six Upper Ranks, numbered one through six, and the six Lower Ranks, also numbered one through six. The number signifies their ranking among the Twelve Kizuki, determined by each member's level of strength, Upper Rank One being the strongest and Lower Rank Six being the weakest. The Lower Ranks have their numbers and ranks engraved only into one eye, whereas the Upper Ranks have their numbers in one eye and the kanji for "Upper Rank" in the other. Sanemi's past:

Genya is Sanemi's younger brother and only living sibling. After a Demon attack befell their family, Sanemi and Genya were the only ones who survived the incident. However, after being branded a "murderer" by Genya, their relationship began to worsen and decline until the two split and went their own ways. Sanemi was the eldest son of seven children and lived with both of his parents. Their father was abusive, constantly lashing out at the children and their mother until one day, he was stabbed and killed by someone with a grudge against him. Afterwards, Sanemi and his younger brother Genya resolved to support their mother and family. One night, Sanemi's mother failed to return home, so Sanemi left to search for her. At some point, he found her and realized she became a demon, but couldn't stop her from returning home and killing five of his siblings. Just before she could kill Genya, however, Sanemi tackles her through the window to the street below with a knife in hand. In the ensuing fight, she gave him the two large scars across his face, and his marechi blood — which disorients demons and makes them act intoxicated — gave him an opening to cut her down. When Genya runs into the street to find a doctor for his grievously-injured siblings, he finds Sanemi with their mother lying dead at his feet. Panicking, and not knowing that the "wolf" that attacked them was their transformed mother, Genya screams and accuses Sanemi of murdering her. After that, Sanemi abandoned Genya and began to hunt demons on his own with suicidal devotion.
